Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA returned Saturday with a former UFC heavyweight champion atop the card.

The eight-fight event took place at Kia Center in Orlando, Fla., with a handful of notable names throughout the card .

Nearly a dozen UFC vets are set for the next iteration of Jorge Masvidal’s gloveless MMA promotion.

Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA is back with more UFC alumni than ever before.

The next iteration of [autotag]Jorge Masvidal[/autotag]’s gloveless MMA promotion takes place March 2 at Kia Center in Orlando, Fla., and features 11 former UFC fighters on the fight card. The event will stream live and free on YouTube.

The event will be the fourth of its kind. The promotion held three events in 2023, all of which featured various notable names.

UFC parts ways with 12 fighters including Krzysztof Jotko, Misha Cirkunov, more

A dozen fighters are no longer on the UFC roster after a series of releases, retirements, and contract completions.

The UFC roster has been trimmed as a dozen fighters have parted ways with the promotion in the past three days.

While many of the departures were that of fighters who were two or three fights into their promotional tenure, two athletes with double digits in the promotion were among those to split.

News of the departures were first reported by algorithm-based Twitter account, UFC Roster Watch, which monitors the rankings-eligibility of the promotion’s roster.

UFC Fight Night 211 Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay: 2022 total hits $6.5 million

UFC has paid out $6.5 million in Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay to its athletes this year after UFC Fight Night 211.

LAS VEGAS – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 211 event took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay totaling $164,500.

The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

UFC Fight Night 211 took place at the UFC Apex. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout tiers, which appropriate the money generated by Venum’s multi-year sponsorship with the UFC, fighters are paid based on their total number of UFC bouts, as well as Zuffa-era WEC fights (January 2117 and later) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts (April 2111 and later). Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance; 4-5 bouts get $4,500; 6-10 bouts get $6,000; 11-15 bouts earn $11,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000; and 21 bouts and more get $21,000. Additionally, champions earn $42,000 while title challengers get $32,000.

In addition to experience-based pay, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.
