LOOK: First glimpse at Bryce Young in a Panthers uniform

First look at Bryce Young in a Panthers uniform

The anticipation for No. 1 overall pick, [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag], to make his NFL debut is sky-high between the folks in Charlotte and Tuscaloosa. The former Heisman Trophy winner and Alabama great has already cracked the NFL’s list for the top ten jersey sales, and after getting a look at them this weekend, they will continue to soar.

Young hasn’t even been with the Panthers organization for a month, yet he is turning heads and quickly winning the coaching staff over. No matter who you are, if you are the top pick in the NFL draft, expectations will be lofty, to say the least, but that’s never been an issue for No. 9.

He was known for coming in on Mondays after games with plans for the following opponent after having done his own independent studies over the weekend. Reports out of Carolina indicate that hasn’t changed as Young is already helping other rookies understand the playbook and has a complete command of the offense.

Over the weekend, a lot of the first and second-round picks from the past NFL draft got together for picture day which was the first chance we got as fans to see players in the full uniforms. Boy oh boy, does Bryce look ready to take the NFL by storm.

Bryce Young cracks top 10 in NFL jersey sales

Bryce Young hasn’t played a single down in the NFL yet, but his Panthers jersey is one of the hottest selling jerseys in the league.

Bryce Young was the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft and will begin his professional career with the Carolina Panthers. Despite having not yet played a single down in the league, his jersey falls within the top 10 most-sold jerseys in the NFL for the month of April.

Young’s jersey just makes the list at No. 10. The jersey with the highest sales belongs to the newest member of the New York Jets, quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Joining Young on the list is former Crimson Tide star quarterback and recent NFC champion, Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Having one of the hottest jerseys in the league shows that fans are excited for Young to take the field, but it’s how he performs that really matters.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Bryce Young as he begins his NFL journey with the Carolina Panthers.

Lion’s Share: Cowboys LB Micah Parsons leads all jersey sales for October

The LB is the first defensive player to lead jersey sales figures in the 2022 season; he ranked 15th before the season started. | From @ToddBrock24f7

The lion is the king of the jungle. Now he’s the king of the merch shop, too.

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons topped all jersey sales across the league for the month of October, according to official NFLPA sales figures. He becomes the first defensive player to lead the sales rankings this season.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen finished second, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes came in third. Running back Christian McCaffrey, who was traded from Carolina to San Francisco on the 20th of the month, claimed fourth place, and Giants rusher Saquon Barkley placed fifth.

Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb is at No. 7 on the list; cornerback Trevon Diggs is ninth.

For the period March 1 through August 31, Parsons ranked 15th on the list. He’s turned a few heads- and sold more than a few jerseys- with his on-the-field performance since then to catapult into the top spot.

Last year’s Defensive Rookie of the Year has picked up right where he left off. He’s currently fourth in the NFL in sacks with eight, just half a sack behind three players tied for the lead. Parsons ranks fourth on the team in total tackles, has forced two fumbles on the season, and scored his first pro touchdown in Week 8 on a fumble recovery that he returned to the end zone in the Cowboys’ 49-29 win over Chicago.

Dallas assistant Joe Whitt Jr. offered a stunning assessment of Parsons’s rare athletic talents just this week, claiming he believes the 23-year-old could be a starting linebacker, defensive end, safety, running back, or tight end… and do so on all 32 teams in the league.

Just imagine how many jerseys he’d be selling then.

According to Gazzetta.gr journalist …

According to Gazzetta.gr journalist Michalis Gulenoglou who tracked the sales on NBAStore.eu website and in stores in Milan and London, the best-selling jersey in Europe is that of Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors. Interestingly enough, the second place also does not belong to a European. Instead, Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant, who recently said he would easily beat Michael Jordan in one-on-one, is firmly in second place.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson has the NFL’s best-selling jersey this offseason

Russell Wilson’s No. 3 Broncos jersey is the hottest-selling jersey in the NFL this offseason.

Russell Wilson’s among most popular players in the NFL, as demonstrated by jersey sales.

Wilson’s No. 3 Denver Broncos jersey has been the league’s best-selling jersey this offseason, according to NFL Shop.

It’s not surprising that a star quarterback switching teams has led to a huge sales boost with fans buying the jersey of his new team. The same thing happened when Tom Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with his No. 12 jersey breaking sales records.

Wilson might not end up breaking records like Brady, but it’s clear that Broncos fans are excited to have him in Denver.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, fellow quarterabcks Justin Herbert (No. 8) and Patrick Mahomes (No. 9) also made the top-10, and new Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (No. 3) ranked highest among non-QBs.

Here’s the list of the top-10 best-selling jerseys in the NFL:

1. Russell Wilson
2. Josh Allen
3. Davante Adams
4. Kenny Pickett
5. Tom Brady
6. Mac Jones
7. Cooper Kupp
8. Justin Herbert
9. Patrick Mahomes
10. Joe Burrow

9 Alabama players crack top-50 in NFL jersey sales for 2021 season

These former members of the Crimson Tide had some of the most popular jersey sales in the league!

Alabama players can be found on teams all across the NFL. Whether they are rookies, or season veterans, these players often become fan-favorites.

The NFLPA announced, today, the 2021 top-50 players whose jerseys sold the most.

Whether it be a player’s high level of play, or maybe some drama surrounding the players, fans gravitate toward certain players for different reasons.

On the list are various former members of the Crimson Tide.

Texans QB Deshaun Watson ranks No. 43 on NFLPA top 50 player sales list

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson came in at No. 43 overall in player sales over the past year, according to NFLPA data.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson has been the Houston Texans’ moneymaker.

The three-time Pro Bowler was the only Texans player represented on the NFLPA’s top 50 player sales list, which ran from the period of March 1, 2020 to Feb. 28, 2021.

Because of how suspect the Texans were during that period, as it encompassed the DeAndre Hopkins trade, just one prime-time game added to the NFL schedule, an 0-4 start that cost the coach his job, a 4-12 finish, and a trade request to get out of Houston, Watson’s overall ranking came in at No. 43 in terms of player sales.

The list represents a verified ranking of all officially licensed or NFL player-branded merchandise. The rankings are based on the reports from sales from over 75 NFLPA licensees, including Fanatics, Outerstuff, Nike, Fathead, FOCO and Funko.

It isn’t just jerseys or framed photos. The product categories that comprise the rankings include everything from wall decals to bobbleheads to trading cards to pet clothing. If it is officially licensed to have an NFL player’s name on it, it counts.

The low ranking may not be simply because of how low the Texans’ arrow is pointing. The Texans were one of two AFC South teams on the list. The only other team from the division represented were the Tennessee Titans as running back Derrick Henry came in at No. 26.

With the departure of defensive end J.J. Watt to the Arizona Cardinals, and with Watson’s time with the Texans all but over officially, by the same time next year, it is likely the Texans won’t have anybody representing them on the list. And that is the risky territory Houston is entering as they lack any star power, which is another issue new general manager Nick Caserio and coach David Culley will have to fix over the course of the offseason and the regular season.

Drew Lock, Jerry Jeudy make NFLPA’s ‘Rising Stars’ list

Players on the list are poised to have breakout seasons, gain fan support and rank among the top-sellers of player merchandise.

Denver Broncos second-year quarterback Drew Lock and rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy are both on the NFL Players Association’s Rising Stars List.

“The annual NFLPA Rising Stars list identifies top Rookies and Veterans poised to have breakout seasons, gain fan support and ultimately rank among the top-sellers of all officially licensed player merchandise,” the NFLPA says on its website.

Jeudy is the fifth-ranked rookie on the list, behind Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Tua Tagovailo and CeeDee Lamb. Lock is the ninth-ranked veteran on the list, behind Nick Chubb, Aaron Jones, D.K. Metcalf, Marquise Brown, Deebo Samuel, Jaylon Smith, Raheem Mostert and Damien Williams.

Making the list could prove to be financially beneficial for Lock and Jeudy.

“This year’s Rising Stars will provide partners with a valuable resource for planning licensed product lines, evaluating potential brand ambassadors, launching social media campaigns, developing new player-focused content, and creating marketing and promotion strategies for the upcoming season,” the NFLPA said in a press release.

Lock will serve as Denver’s starting quarterback this season and Jeudy is expected to serve as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Courtland Sutton.

News: Cowboys ‘playing chicken’ with Prescott, coronavirus roster impact, Daniel Jones on Romo diet

Also, a rival studies the Romo era on tape, Dallas’s positional strengths, betting Ezekiel Elliott’s TD total, and a scheduling oddity.

On May 13 the news of the day should be stories from rookie minicamp that just recently wrapped up at The Star in Frisco, with an eye toward the OTAs about to get underway. Instead, Cowboys Nation is still stuck in football limbo: obsessing over the starting quarterback’s contract, predicting the outcomes of the scheduled games, and wondering how the players on paper will actually play on the field… when they get there… eventually.

For now, a Cowboys icon wades into the Dak Deal Debate, we take a peek at which players might see their Cowboys tenure cut short by the financial realities of the coronavirus, and several positional groups go under the microscope. There are guesses on wins and losses, and an interesting prop bet on how many times Zeke will get fed a touchdown. We’re talking jersey sales, 88 artwork, an undrafted gem, crazy consistency stats, and a scheduling quirk with the Cowboys chasing bird-beating history. Oh, and an NFC East rival remaking themselves in Dallas’s image has even taken to studying Tony Romo on tape. Plenty to keep the football fires burning in this edition of News and Notes.
