Notre Dame lands big-time running back commitment, Jeremiyah Love

HUGE get for Notre Dame!

Notre Dame has landed one of the top running backs in the 2023 recruiting cycle as [autotag]Jeremiyah Love[/autotag], a four-star prospect out of St. Louis made his pledge to [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and the Irish official on Saturday.  Love is on campus this weekend making another visit and made his pledge in front of family and friends.

Make no bones about it, Notre Dame is getting one of their top running back recruits in recent memory.  He can obviously run and is dangerous in the passing game as well.

Notre Dame won this recruiting battle over a few big-time programs including Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Oregon, Texas A&M, and others.  He becomes the third running back commit this cycle for the Irish, joining speedster [autotag]Dylan Edwards[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Limar[/autotag], both who are also four-star prospects according to 247Sports.

Love is listed at 6-0, 190-pounds and comes from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis.  He ranks as the 66th overall player nationally according to the 247Sports composite ratings.

Notre Dame trending for 2023 Missouri athlete, will a commitment follow?

Is the ‘23 class about to grow by one?

It’s been fairly quiet for the Irish on the recruiting trail recently, as their focus has mainly been on the season. That doesn’t mean that the Notre Dame coaching staff isn’t talking with recruits and building relationship.

Case and point with Missouri 2023 athlete [autotag]Jeremiyah Love[/autotag]. During the season, the Irish have only hosted just one prospect on an official visit, California wide receiver [autotag]Taeshaun Lyons[/autotag]. This coming weekend that number should grow a bit with Virginia quarterback [autotag]Brandyn Hillman[/autotag] set to visit South Bend.

However, it’s not Hillman that has a few insiders pondering a verbal, it’s Love who looks to be joining the quarterback on campus this weekend according to this report from 247Sports Tom Loy. Loy, along with Sam Webb, Allen Trieu and Steve Wiltfong all have crystal balled Love to join the 2023 Notre Dame recruiting class.

It remains to be seen when, Loy also notes that he believes that it could very well happen this weekend, but that is still to be determined. What we do know it that it’ does look like the Irish are doing all the right things to ultimately land a verbal from Love.

Elite running back posts a teaser video of a commitment to Notre dame

Interesting

The Irish have been looking for another running back in their 2023 class to join [autotag]Dylan Edwards[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Limar[/autotag]. Head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] has his sights on [autotag]Jeremiyah Love[/autotag], the 6-foot and 190-pound Missouri running back.

Love is viewed as a national top-100 prospect. He holds offers from Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Michigan, Georgia and plenty of others. He is an elite talent that would be more than welcomed into the Irish running back room, but will that happen.

Well, this tweet by Love seems to stoke the fire that he could be heading a bit east to suit up to play his collegiate ball.

It’s a great mix of pop culture and teasing a commitment to the Irish. At the moment, Love has not announced a commitment date, but if this tweet is an indication of what he is thinking, Notre Dame could be very happy when the announcement is made.

Five top WR targets Notre Dame recruits harder after missing out on Tate

Who is next up?

The Irish haven’t missed much during the 2023 recruiting cycle, but they did unfortunately do that today. Florida wide receiver [autotag]Carnell Tate[/autotag] announced his commitment to Ohio State, which means it’s back to the recruiting board for [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag]. Already in the fold at the position is [autotag]Braylon James[/autotag] but it’s clear the Irish want more players at the position. Here are five realistic wide receiver prospects that the Irish will be recruiting harder now that Tate is off the board.

Auburn offers promising running back from Missouri

On Wednesday, the Tigers extended an offer to 2023 RB Jeremiyah Love. They are among several other SEC programs that have offered him.

On Wednesday, the Tigers extended an offer to 2023 Running Back Jeremiyah Love. The Missouri native also runs track for Christian Brothers College Prep. In the 100-meter dash, he ran it in 10.76 seconds. Auburn will likely lose Tank Bigsby to the NFL Draft, so adding a player like Love could be big-time for them in 2023. The Tigers have not yet received a commitment from a Running Back in the ’23 class. If he were to commit, it would be really helpful for their future in the running back room and as a whole.

Notre Dame Football offers 2023 Missouri star athlete

The Missouri star could play a variety of positions

The Irish have loaded up heavily on the defensive side of the ball so far in their 2023 recruiting class, but that doesn’t mean they won’t try to continue to add on more potential stellar defenders. Today another one was offered, Christian Brothers College High School’s star athlete Jeremiyah Love.

The multi-positional player could end up at a variety of spots, either running back, safety, wide receiver, or cornerback. At six-foot-one-inch and 195-pounds, Love has the frame to play all of those positions and could even grow into another one, linebacker. Athletes like Love don’t come by often so the Irish getting a scholarship offer out to him makes plenty of sense.

Already Love had offers from Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Oregon and others before getting the Irish offer. It looks like Marcus Freeman is making the state of Missouri a focus, as Love makes it now three different players the Irish are going hard after, tight end Mac Markway and cornerback Christian Gray being the others.
