So who is leaving Notre Dame via the portal in 2022-23? We’re keeping you up to date on who enters the portal, where they end up and who Notre Dame lands via the portal this offseason.

Here are all the Notre Dame players to enter the portal since the start of the 2022 season. Those who transfer into Notre Dame will be tracked as well.

Notre Dame injury update ahead of Boston College game

An updated look at Notre Dame’s injury report ahead of Boston College game.

When you make it to the last couple of weeks of November no football player is 100%.  That’s certainly the case for Notre Dame as with two games remaining, plenty of players are dealing with their own issues from concussions to bruises to sprains and plenty else.

[autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag]’s final media availability before Saturday’s senior day kickoff against Boston College took place on Thursday. During it, he updated the status of more than just a few of the players who are battling through some things.  Here is the latest we have from Freeman on several of the Fighting Irish players working to return to the field.

Notre Dame receives commitment from 3-star safety recruit Devin Moore

There’s another secondary commitment for the Irish.

At the start of the weekend, Notre Dame’s future secondary received a boost with the commitment of cornerback recruit Jayden Bellamy. Now, it can say it’s receiving a second boost. This time, it’s coming from the safety position. The latest player to say yes to Notre Dame is three-star recruit Devin Moore of Naples, Florida, who made his official visit less than a month ago and received an offer from the Irish in May 2020:

Like Bellmary, Moore was a target of Marcus Freeman and cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens. Both players also will join the Irish for the 2022 season. To have this coaching duo make this kind of progress this quickly is nothing short of amazing, and it only can help.

The Irish had to battle with a plethora of schools to land Moore. They included Alabama, Stanford, Florida State, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Michigan State, Michigan, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Iowa State and Vanderbilt.

Notre Dame lands 3-star cornerback recruit Jayden Bellamy

The Irish have a new future cornerback.

Notre Dame’s secondary will be getting a big boost after the coming season. Jayden Bellamy, a three-star cornerback and Oradell, New Jersey, native who plays at Bergen Catholic, has committed to the Irish:

Bellamy, who made an official visit to Notre Dame on June 18, chose the Irish after previously narrowing his selection down to them, Rutgers and Penn State. Before that, he had a slightly bigger finalist field of Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma.

When asked by Blue and Gold why he picked the Irish, Bellamy, the 17th commitment among players who will arrive in South Bend in 2022, said the following:

“Academics played a big part, and I bonded the best with Coach [Mike] Mickens, Coach [Marcus] Freeman and the whole staff. When I was with them during the visit, we were making a lot of jokes, and ever since they offered me, they went after me hard. That played a part, too.”

The Irish stand to lose only a few senior cornerbacks after the 2021 season. The majority of that unit is made up of freshmen and sophomores. By the time Bellamy comes, that group will have gotten to know each other a lot. There will be no shortage of players to show him the ropes. The best part for Bellamy is this is the group he will consider his brothers going forward.

Ohio State makes shortlist for yet another top rated cornerback

Ohio State has made the top six for three-star defensive back Jayden Bellamy out of New Jersey.

Can you ever have too many cornerbacks? Ohio State recently got a verbal commitment from three-star corner Ryan Turner earlier this week, and from Kyle Stokes just a few days prior to that. The Buckeyes have now made the cut for yet another defensive back.

Jayden Bellamy out of Oradell, New Jersey, trimmed his list and has Ohio State firmly in the mix. Bellamy is rated as a three-star prospect and is a top 40 cornerback in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Others making the list for Bellamy’s services include Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Rutgers. Clemson, somewhat late to the game,  just made its offer a couple of weeks ago.

Some may find it surprising that the Scarlet Knights are included in a list with some of college football’s blue bloods. However, Rutgers is close to home, and maybe more telling is the fact that Bellamy’s dad, Jay Bellamy played his college ball in Piscataway.

Bellamy has an official visit set with Ohio State for June 25 and will be visiting Penn State and Notre Dame earlier in the month.

The Wisconsin football program continued its out-of-state travel on the 2022 recruiting trail yesterday as they offered New Jersey native

The Wisconsin football program continued its out-of-state travel on the class 2022 recruiting trail yesterday as they offered New Jersey native three-star cornerback Jayden Bellamy.

The other Big Ten schools in on the New Jersey native at this point are Nebraska and Penn State.

Wisconsin has had some success in New Jersey over the last decade, landing four-star RB Corey Clement in 2013, Jonathan Taylor in 2017 and four-star RB Jalen Berger in 2020.

The Badgers now hope to add Bellamy to that list as their class of 2022 starts to round into form.

Oklahoma Sooners offer 2022 top 10 player in New Jersey

The latest 2022 recruiting class offer from the Oklahoma Sooners goes to Jayden Bellamy of Bergen Catholic. He is a three-star corner.

As the focus shifts to the 2022 recruiting cycle, the Oklahoma Sooners are going nationwide in their hunt for top athletes. The latest offer is to Bergen Catholic (Oradell, New Jersey) cornerback Jayden Bellamy. He seems to be a trendy name of late. The Sooners offered the three-star cornerback on Tuesday.

Two of the top cornerbacks from the 2020 team, Tre Norwood and Tre Brown, opted to chase their NFL dreams while Brendan “Bookie” Radley-Hiles has put his name in the transfer portal. There could be ample opportunity for Bellamy to get into the competition starting in the 2022 offseason.

Bellamy possesses the size and length coaches will love as a boundary cornerback. A two-way player, cornerback and wide receiver, Bellamy possesses the hands to create turnovers through interceptions and batted balls. He understands the routes of the players he covered and shows off his football IQ by identifying where the quarterback wants to go with the ball. The three-star cornerback also shows off the ability to close on the ball or the ball carrier. A name to watch in the coming months.

He only holds eight offers at this point, so Bellamy could be one of the hidden gems that find their way to Norman.
