David Spade has perfect comment on J.J. Watt’s questionable new hair style

Wisconsin legend J.J. Watt goes viral again with new hairstyle

Wisconsin legend J.J. Watt is staying in the news.

First, the future NFL Hall of Famer and current CBS analyst went viral during the Super Bowl broadcast with his new hairstyle. He famously posted on X after the game asking ‘you ever switch up your hair and wonder if anyone will notice?’

Of course, everybody noticed. Many jokes were made about how he went back to an early-2000s high school look.

Now, Watt is back in the headlines with his hair.

This time he prompted the discussion by posting a picture of a new style. It’s enough David Spade-esque that Spade himself joined the conversation:

I’m not here to comment on the style itself, many have already done so in the comments. But maybe this is what life is like for former stars who transition to television. More time in the public eye without a helmet on means more discussion about ever-changing hair styles.

Social media roasted a Wisconsin legend during the Super Bowl broadcast

What did you think of JJ Watt’s hair?

Wisconsin legend and recently retired NFL star J.J. Watt’s name was trending during the Super Bowl last night, though not necessarily for the right reason.

Watt is part of CBS’s NFL coverage and was front-and-center for the network’s halftime show before Usher’s performance. The future Hall of Famer decided to switch his hairstyle in advance of this broadcast, thinking nobody would really notice.

He was severely mistaken. The internet reacted the same way: “What did Watt do to his hair?”

With that, he somehow became one of the names trending during the year’s biggest television event in the nation — and he wasn’t even playing.

Watt cleared the air afterward, again saying he thought nobody would notice:

Here was some of the social media reaction to Watt’s hair last night:

LOOK: Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon sports new hairstyle for matchup vs. Lions

Jerick McKinnon showed off his bold new hairstyle ahead of the #Chiefs’ matchup against the #Lions on Thursday night.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon has quickly become a fan-favorite in his relatively brief career with the team, and his personality is the stuff of legend.

His quick wit, charming personality, and agreeable nature have made him a beloved member of Chiefs Kingdom. Fans got another reason to dote on the speedy rusher on Thursday evening when he showed off his new hairstyle ahead of Kansas City’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.

McKinnon’s new blond look may take some time for fans to get used to, but when he puts his helmet on nobody will be able to tell the difference.

Confidence is key for players in the NFL, and McKinnon certainly seemed to be comfortable with his new hairdo in the clip that the Chiefs shared on Twitter. Now, he will need to make that confidence translate to the field, especially in the passing game as Kansas City is set to take on the Lions without star tight end Travis Kelce.

Weston McKennie debuts red, white, and blue hair ahead of USMNT’s World Cup opener

McKennie is looking to lead the USMNT in the hair department

Weston McKennie is looking to catch the public’s eye at the World Cup.

The U.S. men’s national team midfielder is an unquestioned key to the team’s hopes, but sometimes becoming a World Cup legend requires a distinctive look. Think Carlos Valderrama, or Roberto Baggio’s “divine ponytail,” or Taribo West’s green-and-white braids for Nigeria, or Romania’s entire team dying their hair blonde for the knockout round in 1998, or Ronaldo’s…whatever that was in 2002.

McKennie may or may not have those iconic World Cup looks in mind. Either way, he’s going the extra mile to make sure people notice him in Qatar. Just one day before his team’s opening game against Wales, McKennie changed his trademark hairstyle, coloring his familiar blonde streak red, white, and blue.

McKennie debuted the hair at the last USMNT training session before they face Wales in a Group B match that figures to be enormously consequential. The new colors come just a day after McKennie declared himself fit to play, which is possibly a more important development for U.S. hopes.

But then again, the USMNT over the years has lacked a little when it comes to this kind of visible confidence. This is a team that has generally had a goalkeeper with a shaved head, and a bunch of close-cropped hairstyles among the field players.

McKennie isn’t alone trying to change that. DeAndre Yedlin and Sergiño Dest have both gone with a different shade of platinum blonde, while Walker Zimmerman and Tim Ream are trying to make sure the USMNT has a man-bun advantage over Gareth Bale and Wales.

LOOK: Darian Kinnard dyes hair Chiefs red for training camp

#Chiefs rookie RT Darian Kinnard said he’d dye his hair red eventually and he made good on that promise for training camp.

Kansas City Chiefs rookies have officially arrived at training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.

One particular rookie arrived sporting new hair stylings. Chiefs fifth-round draft pick Darian Kinnard previously had blue hair, representing his college at the University of Kentucky. Now, Kinnard has a new color in his hair to represent his NFL team. Yes, he dyed his hair Chiefs red.

Our friend Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride spotted the new hairstyling at training camp and snapped a photo.

Kinnard was asked about his hair at rookie minicamp and said that a change was coming eventually. At the time he was focused more on getting the playbook down than what his hair looked like.

“Oh, yeah, I was going to,” Kinnard told reporters at rookie minicamp. “That’s the gameplan. Right now, I’m just getting through minicamp. My biggest focus is just getting better at my position. (My hair) will turn red eventually. Just know that.”

It seems he had some time to dye his hair and make good on that promise as he heads into his first NFL training camp.

Twitter reacts to Cameron Jordan’s NFL-best official headshot

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan takes well-deserved pride in his official NFL photograph for game programs and stats sheets.

[jwplayer pkyqon32-ThvAeFxT]

Does anyone have as much with the NFL’s offseason as Cameron Jordan? The New Orleans Saints defensive end has found a way to make light of even the dullest duties, like the equipment-fitting and photograph session early in Saints training camp. A normally boring, hours-long process has turned into Jordan’s latest attempt at going viral.

And it’s due to his new haircut. Jordan has changed up his look almost every summer he’s been in the NFL, trying out new hairstyles, dye jobs, and carefully-trimmed mustaches. In 2020, though, he’s risen to new heights by wearing a throwback of flowing curls and sculpted mutton chops. See it for yourself.

The end result is an immediately-iconic headshot of Jordan, which will grace NFL game programs, stats books, and the league’s official website. It’s just the latest entry in Jordan’s long-running series, but we have to ask: which is the best?

And naturally, there were plenty of thoughts and reactions to Jordan’s new look from his teammates. But even Saints coach Sean Payton got in on the fun:

Cameron Jordan puts Troy Polamalu on notice with must-see new hairstyle

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan is looking to take up Steelers great Troy Polamalu’s legacy of epic hair styling in 2020.

[jwplayer A99cmIvJ-ThvAeFxT]

Look out, Troy Polamalu: the Pittsburgh Steelers legend was known as much for the plays he made on the field as he was for his signature curly locks, but there’s a new challenger coming for his legeacy.

That would be New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan, who debuted his newest hairstyle for the 2020 season on Saturday. Jordan prepared for Saints training camp by going for natural waves hanging down to his shoulders, with tastefully-sculpted mutton chops accenting the look.

It’s perfectly on-brand for Jordan, who has gotten creative with his hair throughout his NFL career. Ranging from flat top and high fades to long dreadlocks dyed black and gold, he’s never passed on the opportunity to express his sense of fashion. Last year, he even added a long Fu Manchu-style mustache to his toolbox, waxing it into a handlebar for his official NFL roster headshot.

Jordan did credit an activator product for his super-natural new look, but the details of his haircare regimen is being kept close to the vest. And more’s the pity, because whom amongst us wouldn’t want to try it out for themselves?

Naturally, Jordan’s personal news drew rave reviews and reactions:
