Wisconsin legend and recently retired NFL star J.J. Watt’s name was trending during the Super Bowl last night, though not necessarily for the right reason.
Watt is part of CBS’s NFL coverage and was front-and-center for the network’s halftime show before Usher’s performance. The future Hall of Famer decided to switch his hairstyle in advance of this broadcast, thinking nobody would really notice.

He was severely mistaken. The internet reacted the same way: “What did Watt do to his hair?”
With that, he somehow became one of the names trending during the year’s biggest television event in the nation — and he wasn’t even playing.
Watt cleared the air afterward, again saying he thought nobody would notice:
