It’s No. 1 Georgia (7-0) versus Florida (4-3) this Saturday in Jacksonville. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and the matchup will be televised on CBS.

Both teams are coming off of a bye week. UGA’s last contest was a 30-13 win over No. 11 Kentucky and Florida’s, a 49-42 loss to LSU.

Florida still has bragging rights after a 44-28 win in last year’s matchup, and the top-ranked Bulldogs look to grab the title back in 2021.

Here’s why Georgia walks away with a win on Saturday night.

Georgia’s Kirby Smart gives QB update ahead of UGA vs. Florida

Here’s coach Smart on Georgia’s quarterback situation ahead of UGA vs. UF…

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart gave an update on the Bulldogs’ quarterback situation in a press conference on Monday.

Since starting UGA’s first game versus Clemson, junior J.T. Daniels has dealt with a core injury and most recently, a lat injury that has held him out since the Vanderbilt matchup in week-four.

Senior Stetson Bennett has played well in Daniels’ absence, throwing for 11 touchdowns with just two interceptions, but with Daniels getting healthy, Georgia has a decision to make.

“Everything is going to be based on practice, and no decision has been made,” Smart said Monday. “(JT Daniels) did practice Wednesday and did pretty good, and he practiced Thursday and didn’t have pain before, during, or after …. that’s step one.”

“The next step is, can he move, can he throw with accuracy and do the things required to play quarterback.”

Smart told ESPN last week that both signal-callers have their own advantages.

“I’m not sure we know who the better one is based on which game plan we have,” Smart said. “There are teams we play that we have to be able to use the quarterback in the run game. Well, that’s Stetson. There are teams we play that you have to get the ball out quickly and be really accurate. That’s JT. But the first thing with JT is that he’s got to be healthy.”

No. 1 Georgia (7-0) will face Florida (4-3) in Jacksonville this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

That leaves UGA without its two starting safeties for the remainder of the game.

Cine’s hit camp with roughly 9 minutes remaining in the first half. He delivered a huge blow to Florida superstar tight end Kyle Pitts.

It was really just an unfortunate play. Cine was clearly not trying to do anything illegal, but more so just get lower than his opponent. Instead, he and Pitts got low at the same time and it resulted in an ugly play.

Georgia football QB Stetson Bennett left for the locker room in the first quarter of UGA vs Florida. Who replaced him?

Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett left for the locker room in the first quarter of the game against Florida.

It looks like an injury to Bennett’s right shoulder. He took a huge shot on his touchdown pass he made to Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint.

Taking his place is D’Wan Mathis, who opened the season as the UGA starter before pulled for Bennett against Arkansas.

Bennett’s start to the game was pretty consistent with his play as of late. No turnovers, but some missed passes and a dropped snap that killed his final drive.

You absolutely hate to see this.

During the first quarter of the Georgia-Florida game, UGA true freshman wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint scored on a third down touchdown pass from Stetson Bennett to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead early.

However, things took a turn for the worst as Rosemy-Jacksaint entered the end zone, as his leg snapped backwards.

He needed to be carted off the field.

Rosemy-Jacksaint is a true freshman St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
