Florida A&M at Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Florida A&M at Florida odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Florida A&M Rattlers (0-3) and the No. 19 Florida Gators (4-0) meet Tuesday at Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+ / SEC Network+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Florida A&M vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Rattlers are winless through 3 games, taking it on the chin at TCU (105-59 Nov. 4), at SMU (102-73 Nov. 7) and at Maryland (84-53 Nov. 11). FAMU has allowed 102 or more points in 2 of 3 games this season, but it has covered its previous 2 outings despite a losing margin of 30.0 points per game (PPG). The Over is 2-1 to date, too.

The Gators have fired out of the gates with 4 straight victories, including an 87-74 win at Florida State Friday as 5.5-point favorites. Florida is 2-2 ATS in its 4 wins, with an 0-2 ATS mark in 2 games at home, including an 86-62 win Nov. 11 over another SWAC opponent, Grambling. The Under is also 2-0 in 2 games at O’Connell Center.

Florida A&M at Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida 88, Florida A&M 59

Moneyline

Florida (-10000) isn’t worth pursuing, especially since 1-way lines usually have a higher hold.

PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

It takes a little bit of a leap of faith, but play FLORIDA A&M +35.5 (-105) taking the points in Gainesville.

The Rattlers certainly won’t be fazed, as they’ve played in 3 huge arenas already this season, cashing big checks along the way. And FAMU has covered, barely, in the past 2 games.

Florida -35.5 (-115) is 0-2 ATS in a pair of games at home so far, including the 24-point win over Grambling. Look for a similar result here.

Over/Under

UNDER 156.5 (-105) may be the best play on the board.

Florida has cashed low in each of its 2 games on the home floor so far, including its only previous game against a SWAC foe. It has allowed 61.0 PPG at home in the 2 outings, and FAMU is unlikely to put much of a dent in that number.

While the Rattlers cashed high in the first 2 games, it hit the Under in a loss at Maryland last time out, cobbling together just 53 points of offense.

Florida at Florida State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Florida at Florida State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Florida State Seminoles (3-0) welcome the No. 19 Florida Gators (3-0) to Tucker Center in Tallahassee. Tip-off Friday is set for 6 p.m. ET (ACC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Florida vs. Florida State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Florida is No. 19 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The Gators beat the Grambling State Tigers 86-62 on Monday, but failed to cover as a 26-point favorite. C Rueben Chinyelu led the way with 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Florida is 1-2 against the spread (ATS).

Florida State kicked off its season with a 74-62 home win over the Northern Kentucky Norse, covering as an 8-point favorite. That was its tightest spread as it is coming off a 72-52 beatdown of the Tarleton State Texans Tuesday as a 17.5-point favorite. G Jamir Watkins is the only player averaging double figures for Florida State at 18.3 points per game.

Florida at Florida State picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida 80, Florida State 72

Moneyline

PASS.

Florida’s offense has been and should stay on fire. Expect it to come out on top, but avoid an expensive moneyline play.

Against the spread

BET FLORIDA -5.5 (-110).

The Seminoles’ offensive efficiency is concerning. They have yet to score 75 points on weak opponents and have just 1 player scoring more than 9 points per game. Only 1 of their top 6 scorers is shooting north of 45% from the field as well.

Florida is the opposite. It has scored 81 points or more in all 3 games. Its top 3 weapons all shoot at least 47% from the field, and it has covered in its lone game as a favorite of 15 points or fewer. That said, expect the Gators to stay hot and back FLORIDA -5.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 156.5 (-105).

Both teams have been more prone to the Under so far this season. The Gators are 1-2 O/U, and the Seminoles are 0-3 O/U.

Florida State has yet to allow more than 65 points in a game, so it should be able to slow the pace and give Florida some issues, at least more issues than the Gators opponents have sparked. Florida has allowed 62 points or fewer in 2 of its 3 games.

Considering those defensive trends, back UNDER 156.5 (-105).

LSU vs. Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Florida odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 22 LSU Tigers (6-3, 3-2 SEC) meet the Florida Gators (4-5, 2-4)  at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at LSU vs. Florida odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

LSU has lost back-to-back games against ranked opponents, most recently losing 42-13 to the No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide. They failed to cover as 3-point road underdogs while the Under 59.5 hit. The Tigers committed 3 turnovers, including 2 INTs by QB Garrett Nussmeier.

Florida has lost 3 of its last 4 games, all to Top-10 teams, most recently losing 49-17 to the No. 3 Texas Longhorns. They failed to cover as 23-point road underdogs and the Over 49.5 hit. The Gators turned the ball over 3 times, including 2 INTs by QB Aiden Warner. The Gators defends allowed Texas to piled up 562 total yards (352 passing, 210 rushing).

LSU vs. Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 35, Florida 31

Moneyline

PASS.

I considered taking Florida (+155), but I’ll play it safer and take the points.

Against the spread

BET FLORIDA +4.5 (-110).

This line feels off considering LSU’s recent struggles and inability to defend a mobile QB. Florida, on the other hand, has been much more competitive, including giving Georgia a scare with several backups.

LSU has dropped 4 of its last 5 road games in November, while Florida has covered the spread in 5 of its last 6. The underdog has won LSU’s last 3 visits to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

With highly-touted freshman QB DJ Lagway possibly back, Florida has a real chance to take advantage of LSU’s weak secondary. I’m grabbing the points with the Gators.

Over/Under

BET OVER 55.5 (-105).

LSU’s games have averaged 55.4 points, with an Over/Under line of 58.9. The Tigers are 2-5 O/U.

LSU’s offense, led by their passing game, ranks 7th in the nation with 322.8 yards per game, and they’re 9th in both passing attempts (42.3) and completions (26.8). They average 30.4 points per game.

Florida’s offense averages 28.1 points per game and has gone over in their last 3 games. However, the Gators’ defense allowed 563 total yards in a recent 49-17 loss to Texas.

The last 6 meetings between LSU and Florida have gone Over the total points line, and 12 of LSU’s last 15 conference games have followed suit.

Jacksonville at Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Jacksonville at Florida odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Jacksonville Dolphins (1-0) meet the Florida Gators (1-0) in a Thursday tussle in Gainesville. Tip-off from the Stephen C. O’Connell Center will be at 8 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Jacksonville vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Jacksonville opened with a Monday victory over Trinity Baptist (National Christian College Athletic Association DII). The Dolphins won 78-65, leveraging a big rebounding edge (47-26) and winning by double digits in the unlined contest on home hardwood.

Florida, which is No. 21 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, also opened Monday. The Gators covered as 11.5-point favorites in a 98-85 win over South Florida. G Walter Clayton Jr. (29 points) and G Will Richard (25) combined for 54 points in the opening-night triumph for a UF team that went 24-12 last season.

Jacksonville at Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida 85, Jacksonville 65

Moneyline

Lots of juice; little interest. PASS.

Against the spread

Jacksonville, which is coached by former Florida assistant Jordan Mincy, brings a veteran squad to Gainesville. Transfer talent brought in by Mincy focused on some hidden but key attributes like rebounding, ability to get to the line and defense.

UF looks to be overrated a bit in being in the top 25, and the Gators certainly had issues in their season opener. In that Monday contest, Florida trailed 40-39 at halftime and only had a 1-point lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play.

Peg the DOLPHINS +20.5 (-110) as being worth a partial-unit play on Thursday.

Over/Under

Both teams struggled from distance Monday. Jacksonville hit just 6 of 32 shots from 3-point range (18.8%); Florida hit 5 of 26 (19.2%).

It’s reasonable to expect more bench minutes for heavily-favored Florida if the Gators can act accordingly.

Look for this one to land close to the number but come up just shy. TAKE THE UNDER 152.5 (-110).

Florida vs. Georgia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Florida vs. Georgia odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Florida Gators (4-3, 2-2 SEC) and Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1) will tangle in a Saturday afternoon neutral-site affair in Jacksonville. The kickoff at EverBank Stadium will be at 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around Florida vs. Georgia odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Florida heads into this contest off a bye week. The Gators last played Oct. 19, when they outgained the favored Kentucky Wildcats 476 yards to 309 in a 48-20 triumph as 2.5-point underdogs in Gainesville. UF led that game wire-to-wire and registered a season-high 5 rushing touchdowns.

Georgia, which is No. 2 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, has also been off since Oct. 19 when the Bulldogs earned a 30-15 win over then-No. 1 Texas, scoring the first 20 points of the game. In this contest, the Bulldogs are seeking their fourth straight win over the Gators. It would be Georgia’s longest win streak in the rivalry since winning 6 in a row from 1978-83.

Florida vs. Georgia picks and predictions

Prediction

Georgia 31, Florida 17

Moneyline

Lots of juice and little chance to get any value. AVOID.

Against the spread

Florida has won 4 straight ATS. Its straight-up losses to No. 11 Texas A&M (Sept. 14) and No. 7 Tennessee (Oct. 12) were by 14 and 6 points, respectively. And from an analytics, the setback against the Aggies was a near-toss-up.

The UF pass-defense numbers are not great. The Gators rank 84th in the nation in yards allowed per completion (12.2). But many of the big chunk plays they have allowed were in the first month of the season. Overall, the UF defense is solid in preventing explosive plays.

Georgia’s power-running and offensive-line analytics are nothing to hang their hat on, and the Bulldogs look to be getting too heavy of a recency-bias lean off their win over Texas.

Field-goal attempts are up for both sides of late, and this one could well end up as more of a 2-score, 10-13-point margin contest.

This line opened at UF +18.5, so some of the air is out of the leverage tank, but Florida is still a significant lean in this spot.

BACK THE GATORS +14.5 (-110).

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

Georgia’s 7 games this fall have seen the Under cash 5 times (5-2). Across UGA’s last 11 games, the Under is 8-3.

The Bulldogs defense excels in stopping drives. Compared to Georgia squads of recent vintage, its not a high-havoc group. And as inept as Florida can be on offense (under 375 total yards in 4 games), the Gators are not overly loose with the football. So, perhaps the short-field effect and what that can do to spiral are total is tamped down a bit.

On offense, UGA likes to pass, but it should find plenty of success against UF while keeping the ball on the ground.

When it comes to rate of plays, the Gators move at a glacial pace. On what is forecasted as a breezy afternoon in Jacksonville, the UNDER 52.5 (-110) is perhaps worth a partial-unit play.

Florida at Tennessee odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Florida at Tennessee odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Florida Gators (3-2, 1-1 SEC) take on the Tennessee Volunteers (4-1, 1-1) at Neyland Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Florida vs. Tennessee odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Gators chomped down on Central Florida with a 24-13 victory as 1-point dogs last week. QB Graham Mertz was 19-for-23 for 179 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs. Six rushers combined for 130 yards on the ground against UCF. Florida has won 3 of 4 after a bad loss to Miami to open the year.

Tennessee, No. 9, in the US LBM Coaches Poll, laid an egg against Arkansas in a 19-14 defeat. The Vols were 14-point favorites and ended their 4-game win and cover streak to open the campaign. RB Dylan Sampson was fantastic on the ground with 22 rushes for 140 yards and 2 scores. QB Nico Iamaleava left a lot to be desired through the air, though, going 17-for-29 for 158 yards.

Florida at Tennessee picks and predictions

Prediction

Tennessee 28, Florida 14

Moneyline

These teams met in Gainesville last year, and the Gators won 29-16 as 4.5-point dogs. Mertz was 19-for-24 for 166 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs, and they largely relied on the ground game. I look for a similar formula, but for the Vols to prevail.

Forego the ML and take MONTRELL JOHNSON OVER 54.5 RUSHING YARDS (-115). He had 54 last week, but this cashes in 3 of the other 4 games this season — including against Miami. He went for 11-106-1 in that game.

Against the spread

I like FLORIDA +14.5 (-110) here as they have been gathering momentum. They’ve won 3 of 4 and covered in the last 2. Meanwhile, Tennessee has looked vulnerable.

Over/Under

This total is too high for me. As I mentioned, the Vols have been vulnerable. They’ve scored 14 and 25 in the last 2 weeks. Now those games were on the road, but I don’t see too much of a correction with their home cooking. Both teams are 3-2 O/U with each cashing Unders in their last game.

Take the UNDER 56.5 (-110).

UCF at Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UCF at Florida odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The UCF Knights 3-1 and Florida Gators 2-2 meet at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the UCF vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

In a tough game against Colorado, the UCF Knights fell 48-21, allowing double-digit points in each of the first 3 quarters. Quarterback KJ Jefferson shined for the Buffaloes. He threw for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding a rushing score, despite 2 interceptions. UCF struggled to contain Colorado’s offense, leading to the disappointing defeat.

Before their week off, the Gators had a 45-28 victory over Mississippi State. They built a strong 28-14 halftime lead, with quarterback Graham Mertz throwing for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns. RB Montrell Johnson contributed 68 rushing yards on 15 carries.

UCF vs. Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

UCF 35, Florida 31

Moneyline

PASS.

I’ve got UCF (-120) going on the road in the SEC and claiming victory, but I’m not interested in paying that juice. I’ll take my bet to the spread.

Against the spread

BET UCF -1.5 (-105).

Betting on UCF -1.5 against Florida presents an enticing opportunity, as the Knights appear to have a distinct advantage in the trenches. UCF’s dynamic rushing attack could prove too much for the Gators’ struggling run defense, which has faced significant challenges this season. With a powerful offensive line and talented running backs, the Knights have the ability to dominate the ground game and control the clock.

While Florida may find avenues for success through the air, especially with their skilled receivers, UCF’s ability to dictate the pace of the game on the ground is likely to be the deciding factor. Additionally, UCF’s recent performances suggest they are hitting their stride, making them a tough opponent for the Gators. As UCF aims to secure their 2nd consecutive win over Florida, expect them to not only take the victory but also comfortably cover the 1.5-point spread in this matchup.

Over/Under

BET OVER 61.5 (-110).

Betting the Over 61.5 points between UCF and Florida presents an enticing opportunity. The Gators have consistently shown their offensive prowess, hitting the Over 8 of their last 10 games dating back to last season. Meanwhile, UCF has found success as well, surpassing the total points line in 4 straight.

The Knights are particularly effective on the road, with 9 of their last 13 away games going Over. Florida’s track record is just as impressive, with 10 of their last 12 games finishing above the total. Given both teams’ explosive offenses, this matchup promises to deliver plenty of scoring chances, making the Over 61.5 a compelling wager.

Alex’s best bet: UCF at Florida prediction

SportsbookWire.com’s Alex White likes a side in Saturday’s NCAA football game between UCF and Florida.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

We’re superstitious here at SportsbookWire, so we’re not going to mention exactly how our Alex White has been faring with her college football picks this season.

For those of you paying attention, you know what we’re talking about … we’ll leave it at that. It’s no fluke that Alex won a major college football contest in Las Vegas 2 seasons ago.

For those of you who are not paying attention, you can find her past picks on her Twitter/X page (@alexwhitee).

This Saturday, it’s “big brother vs. little brother,” as she is focused on an in-state battle in Gainesville, Fla.

The UCF Knights (3-1) visit the Florida Gators (2-2) for a 7:45 p.m. ET kickoff. The game will be on the SEC Network.

Texas A&M at Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Texas A&M at Florida odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Texas A&M Aggies (1-1) and Florida Gators (1-1) clash Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Texas A&M vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

After a season-opening loss to Notre Dame, A&M, which sits just outside of the Top 25, took its frustrations out on McNeese State 52-10. Aggies QB Conner Weigman (undisclosed) is questionable for this one. If he can’t go, QB Marcel Reed will be under center. Weigman went 11-for-14 for 125 yards and 2 scores last week. Reed went 5-for-11 for 71 yards and rushed 7 times for 43 yards.

Florida rebounded from a beatdown against Miami with a 45-7 chomping of Samford last week. QB DJ Lagway was 18-for-25 for 456 yards and 3 scores through the air. RB Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed 15 times for 67 yards and 2 scores in the game. The victory snapped a 6-game losing streak, dating back to last season.

Texas A&M at Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida 24, Texas A&M 21

Moneyline

A lot hinges on Weigman’s ability to suit up, as Reed has just 47 career passes and not a lot to show for it. Lagway was the No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, and he can beat you with his arm and his legs. QB Graham Mertz will also see some action for Florida, which could give A&M problems in preparation.

Add in this game is at The Swamp, and I’m taking the upset. Take FLORIDA +145.

Against the spread

We’re taking the value on the ML, so there’s little reason to take the spread. Instead, we’re taking MONTRELL JOHNSON JR. ANYTIME TOUCHDOWN (+100). He had 2 scores last week and another in the first game. Even odds? Sign me up!

Over/Under

I’m not as confident on this take here, but with the uncertainty at QB for A&M, I feel like it’s going to try to run the ball early on until Florida stacks the box. Things should open up in the 2nd half, but it’ll be too late to hit the Over by then. LEAN UNDER 46.5 (-110).

March Madness: Colorado vs. Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Colorado vs. Florida odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Colorado Buffaloes (25-10) lock up with the Florida Gators (24-11) Friday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. (TBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Colorado vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.

The 10-seed Colorado fell to the Oregon Ducks 73-65 in the Pac-12 Championship Game Saturday. They followed up their strong conference tourney showing by defeating Boise State 60-53 in the First Four game Wednesday. F Tristan de Silva led the Buffs with 20 points, and G KJ Simpson added 19 points, 11 boards and 4 assists. Simpson leads the Buffaloes with 19.6 PPG. Colorado went 2-2 against ranked opponents this year.

Seventh-seeded Florida, No. 23 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, was blown out 86-67 by the Auburn Tigers in the SEC title game Sunday. G Walter Clayton Jr., who led the Gators with 17.1 PPG, struggled with just 13 points on 3-for-10 shooting. Florida went 3-6 against ranked opponents this season.

Colorado vs. Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado 84, Florida 81

Moneyline

The Gators led the nation with 39.8 rebounds per game and were 2nd in offensive boards at 13.1. Colorado was OK on the glass tied for 93rd in the country with 33.8. The Buffaloes have size underneath with 6-foot-11, 265-pound Eddie Lampkin Jr. Florida’s depth is going to be tested after backup C Micah Handlogten broke his leg in the conference tourney.

I give the slight edge to the Buffaloes here. They’re 7th in the nation with 39.1% from downtown. The Gators were tied for 167th at 34.2%, and Clayton Jr. struggles to provide offense when his 3-ball isn’t falling.

Take COLORADO +100.

Against the spread

I’ll pass on the insurance and key in on a prop that makes sense. Clayton is averaging 17.1 PPG and goes through cold streaks. He has been held to 13 and 16 in his last 2 games, and I’ll take WALTER CLAYTON JR. UNDER 17.5 POINTS (-110).

Over/Under

Florida is 8-2 O/U over their last 10 games, and Colorado is 5-5. Florida plays at the 6th-best pace in the nation at 85.1. Colorado amps it up, too, tied for 54th at 78.7.

It’s a big number, but the way these teams run-and-gun, LEAN OVER 158.5 (-105).
