Eagles’ top-30 visits can offer a glimpse into Howie Roseman’s draft plans

With three weeks to go until the 2023 NFL Draft, we’re breaking down the Eagles’ top 30 visits and how that’ll play into Howie Roseman’s draft plans

The NFL draft is fast approaching, and the 2023 influx of talent comes at a reasonable time after a mass exodus of free agents on defense.

Only a tiny percentage of this incoming class will make their mark on the league as a rookie.

With Philadelphia set to sign Jalen Hurts to a massive deal, GM Howie Roseman needs all his picks to deliver the goods immediately.

With the draft just three weeks out, we’re taking a closer look at the Eagles’ predraft visits and whether they offer a glimpse into what Howie Roseman has in store.

Each NFL team can meet with 30 top prospects on their draft boards.

The players you see visiting respective team facilities can help outline organizational needs or serious interests.

Philadelphia has two first-round picks, and they’ve embraced the process, bringing in a host of top names that’ll be selected up and down the draft board.

Broncos had a formal interview with OLB Felix Anudike-Uzomah at NFL combine

The Broncos met with Kansas State pass rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah at the NFL combine last month.

The Denver Broncos had a formal interview with Kansas State pass rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah at the NFL combine, according to The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler. NFL teams are allowed to have up to 45 formal visits with players at the combine each year.

Anudike-Uzomah (6-3, 255 pounds) played defensive end in college, but he would likely transition to outside linebacker if selected by an NFL team that runs a 3-4 defense like the Broncos. He earned third-team All-American recognition last season after totaling 46 tackles (11 for losses), 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup in 14 games.

In three years with the Wildcats, Anudike-Uzomah totaled 97 tackles (26.5 behind the line), 20.5 sacks and eight forced fumbles in 27 games.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Anudike-Uzomah to Dante Fowler Jr., who was a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Anudike-Uzomah is projected as a second-round prospect this year, so Denver might have to trade up if the team hopes to land him.

The Broncos’ top draft picks this year are back-to-back selections in the third round, Nos. 67 and 68 overall.

The 2023 NFL draft will be held in Kansas City from April 27-29.

Anthony Richardson falls to Seahawks in this three-round mock draft by PFF

PFF’s projection has Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson falling to Seattle at No. 5 overall.

With three weeks to go before the 2023 NFL draft, we have now seen literally hundreds of different scenarios for the Seahawks in mock drafts around the web. This three-round mock draft from Pro Football Focus is in the top 1% among our favorites, though.

PFF’s projection has Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson falling to Seattle at No. 5 overall. After getting their ultra-athletic potential franchise QB of the future, the Seahawks double down on improving their passing game by selecting the top-ranked wide receiver in the draft class: TCU’s Quentin Johnson. Here’s who PFF mocked to Seattle with each of their five picks.

Bucs 2023 draft targets: Edge Rusher

Here are a few prospects the Bucs could target to rotate in with Shaq Barrett and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka in 2023.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are approaching a crossroads at outside linebacker. They will soon have to decide what the future of their edge defender position will look like, and that requires considering adding talent in the draft.

The Bucs’ edge rushers come from two different ends of career spectrum. Shaq Barrett is the decorated veteran approaching the twilight years of his career, while Joe Tryon-Shoyinka is the former first-round pick entering a pivotal third year of his NFL career. Barrett is coming off an Achilles tear and Tryon-Shoyinka has yet to record more than five sacks in a season.

There is a chance both prove to be high-quality starting outside linebackers in 2023, but there is also a chance that only one or even neither of them proves they can be long-term answers for Tampa. The Bucs have little choice but to hedge their bets and invest in the position in this year’s draft.

Fortunately, it is a great year to look for edge talent. While the top-tier talent is a little thin and certainly out of the Bucs’ draftable range, there is an embarrassment of riches to be exploited across any of the first three rounds.

Tampa’s needs at other positions may prevent the Bucs from taking an edge rusher with their first pick, but the talent may be too good to pass up. In any case, there are likely to be a variety of options with their second or third round pick.

Here are the edge rushers the Bucs could target in the 2023 draft:

2023 NFL Draft: 10 prospects who can make an immediate impact for the Eagles

We’re looking at ten 2023 NFL Draft prospects that can immediately impact the Philadelphia Eagles.

The NFL draft provides a yearly influx of talent, and the teams that can find immediate contributors in any round usually have the most success.

Only a tiny percentage of this incoming class will make their mark on the league as a rookie.

With Philadelphia set to sign Jalen Hurts to a massive deal, GM Howie Roseman needs all his picks to deliver the goods immediately.

About a dozen specific prospects stand out yearly because of their pro-ready capabilities, and we’ve provided ten that can hit the ground running in Philadelphia.

Eagles land RB Bijan Robinson, DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah in USA Today’s latest mock draft

The Philadelphia Eagles land running back Bijan Robinson, and Kansas State pass rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah in USA Today’s latest mock draft

The 2023 NFL draft is fast approaching, and as all 32 teams across the league increase their focus, scouts within the organization are doing their due diligence on all prospects.

Thanks to some draft night wizardry from Howie Roseman, the Eagles traded the No. 16 overall pick, No. 19 overall pick, and a 2022 sixth-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for the No. 18 overall pick, a 2022 third-round pick, a 2022 seventh-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick, and a 2024 second-round pick.

Philadelphia has a Super Bowl-caliber offense and could snag a dynamic running back on his rookie deal for a team looking to return to the Super Bowl.

USA Today’s Nate Davis Just released his latest mock draft, and he has Philadelphia reloading on both sides of the football.

Saints pick an underrated pass rusher in Charles Davis’ first mock draft

The Saints picked an underrated pass rusher in Charles Davis’ first mock draft, landing Kansas State playmaker Felix Anudike-Uzomah:

We’re one month out from the 2023 NFL draft, so what will the New Orleans Saints do once it’s here? The latest take comes from NFL.com analyst Charles Davis, who likes the Saints to pick an underrated pass rusher at the end of the first round. Davis has the Saints replacing their losses in free agency with Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah:

Marcus Davenport is now in Minnesota, and ultra-productive defensive end Cam Jordan needs a bookend. Similar to the seven-time Pro Bowler Jordan, Anudike-Uzomah not only harasses quarterbacks but creates deflections and takeaways, too.

Finding another defensive end is one of the team’s top priorities after Davenport left in free agency; they drafted Payton Turner in 2021’s first round to be his nominal replacement, but Turner has missed even more games to injury than Davenport did over the last two seasons. The Saints don’t know what they have in him, so it makes sense to evaluate all options.

And Anudike-Uzomah is a good one. While other draft prospects like Iowa’s Lukas Van Ness and Clemson’s Myles Murphy have commanded attention in recent weeks, Anudike-Uzomah was just as productive as them in college. He appeared in 27 games for the Wildcats, collecting career totals of 26.5 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, and 8 forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus charting credited him with 43 and 46 pressures in the last two seasons as a starter.

We’ll have to wait and see if Anudike-Uzomah has the overall athletic profile the Saints have valued; he’s undersized by their usual standards at 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds, with 33 1/2-inch arms. But if he does well in agility drills and proves he has the physical tools to compete in the NFL, he’d be a good pick late in the first round or early in second frame. He’s expected to work out at Kansas State’s pro day on March 31, and we’ll keep an eye out to see if the Saints are in attendance.

Jaguars 7-round mock draft: 9 potential targets after free agency

What position should the Jaguars target early in the 2023 NFL Draft?

The first two weeks of NFL free agency were more about subtraction than addition for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While the team reportedly aimed to keep offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor and pass rusher Arden Key, both players signed elsewhere last week. Taylor signed a massive deal with the Kansas City Chiefs and Key joined the Jaguars’ division rival, the Tennessee Titans.

Jacksonville signed running back D’Ernest Johnson and reportedly agreed to terms with a couple defensive lineman, but none of those additions will change the team’s draft plans much.

With the 2023 NFL Draft now less than a month away, here are nine prospects who could make sense for the Jaguars:
