Commanders training camp was packed. The team estimated 10,000 fans were in attendance for Saturday’s practice, earning praise from multiple players and head coach Ron Rivera. Rivera appreciates the fans after a difficult few years and understands their importance to the team’s success.

With so many fans attending Ashburn’s practice Saturday, we’ve found some of the top fan reactions from around Twitter.

College football fans react as Auburn fires coach Bryan Harsin

Not many were sad to see Harsin go.

We saw the first coaching change in the SEC this season on Monday as Auburn made the unsurprising decision to fire second-year coach Bryan Harsin following a 41-27 home loss against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

This is a move that was expected by the end of the season, and some thought Harsin could be let go ahead of the Tigers’ bye week after they lost to Ole Miss two weeks ago. This news comes on the wake of reports that Auburn has hired Mississippi State athletic director John Cohen to the same position.

In less than two full seasons on the job, Harsin finished 9-12 with a 4-9 record in the SEC. Harsin is 1-9 in his last 10 games against Power Five teams with the lone win coming against Missouri thanks to a fumble at the goal line that bailed AU out, and he sits at 3-5 (1-4 SEC) this season.

Harsin certainly didn’t garner a lot of sympathy with his abrasive tone in press conferences this season after he narrowly survived a booster-led coup attempt in the spring. With Harsin’s short-lived tenure now at an end, it was a day of rejoicing for Auburn fans and others in college football that have a bone to pick with Harsin.

Best reactions as LSU stuns previously undefeated No. 7 Ole Miss, rushes field at Death Valley

Fans were thrilled as LSU gave Brian Kelly his first top-10 win with the Tigers.

LSU got a signature win for first-year coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] on Saturday.

The Tigers again found themselves in an early hole, but they rallied once more against the No. 7 Ole Miss Rebels, who were held scoreless in the second half of LSU’s convincing 45-20 victory. After handing Mississippi its first loss in 2022, the Tigers (at least, temporarily) stand alone in the top spot of the SEC West.

LSU was dominated at home in its first opportunity against a top-10 team in Tennessee two weeks ago, but it flipped the script this time around to earn a massive win in the Magnolia Bowl. The Tigers still control their destiny in the division race.

Fans on social media were ecstatic after the win, which was a major upset as far as the rankings are concerned. Here were the best reactions from Saturday night.

Roger Federer played the final match of his career on Friday night, and it was emotional for fans

What a career it was.

One of the most legendary careers in tennis history came to an end on Friday night as 20-time Grand Slam singles champion Roger Federer played his final match.

Teamed up with Rafael Nadal representing Europe in a double match against Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock of Team World. It was an excellent match that came down to a tiebreaker, but Federer and Nadal ultimately came up short after winning the first set.

It was clearly an emotional moment on the court in London at the Laver Cup as Federer completed the final match of his practically unparalleled 24-year professional career.

Federer’s fans shared the same sentiment.

Roger Federer somehow hit the ball through the corner of the net in his final match, and fans were blown away

How is this even possible?

Roger Federer can’t help but hit shots that make us question the laws of physics, even in the final match of his career.

The 20-time Grand Slam singles champion is considered one of the greatest men’s tennis players of all time, but he’s calling it a career after 24 years and 103 ATP singles titles — the second most of all time.

In the final match of his career at the Laver Cup in London, Federer teamed up with longtime rival Rafael Nadal to represent Team Europe in a doubles matchup against US Open semifinalist Francis Tiafoe and Jack Sock of Team World.

In the first set, Federer somehow weaved a shot through the literal corner of the net in one of the most impressive feats of precision I’ve ever seen.

Seriously, how is this possible?

Even the announcers couldn’t get over it, remarking that they had never seen anything quite like it before. With all eyes on the final match of Federer’s illustrious career, fans were absolutely stunned by the mind-boggling shot.

Twitter reacts to Justin Jefferson’s huge day in Vikings opener

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Justin Jefferson’s massive performance against the Packers in Week 1.

[autotag]Justin Jefferson[/autotag] is just starting his third year in the league, but he has already emerged as one of the best players in the game. Jefferson put up 1,400 yards in his rookie year and 1,616 in his sophomore campaign.

On Sunday, it looked like he is ready for another prolific season. Jefferson caught nine passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

Jefferson’s name is starting to be mentioned when people talk about the best receiver in the NFL. Expectations were high for the first-round pick, but he’s exceeded them. In just 34 games, he’s racked up 3,200 receiving yards. That’s an average of 94.1 per game in his career.

That’s better than good.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Jefferson’s big game.

Social media reacts to Notre Dame’s shocking upset loss to Marshall

Things are not going great in South Bend under the new regime.

Notre Dame fans took a lot of joy in LSU’s suffering after its Week 1 loss against Florida State in Brian Kelly’s debut. But things in South Bend aren’t going any better.

New coach Marcus Freeman entered Saturday with an 0-2 record, and that moved to 0-3 after a shocking upset loss against Marshall on Saturday. Fighting Irish quarterbacks combined to throw three interceptions as the Thundering Herd scored a 26-21 win.

While last week’s respectable loss at Ohio State was understandable, this one was not. And any time Notre Dame drops a game like this, you can expect there will be jokes at its expense. Here were some of the best reactions.

LeBron James bringing snacks from home to a Lakers Summer League game was so relatable

Lebron comes PREPARED.

LeBron James is one of the wealthiest athletes to ever walk the Earth, becoming just the second NBA player to reach billionaire status after Michael Jordan. But just because your net worth resembles the GDP of a small country doesn’t mean you’re willing to pay exorbitant prices for stadium snacks.

At the Los Angeles Lakers’ Summer League’s opening loss against the Phoenix Suns in Las Vegas on Friday night, James — who didn’t dress for the game and had a front-row seat for the exhibition, instead — was spotted on the bench snacking from a plastic bag that he apparently brought from home.

While there’s nothing wrong with a simple man enjoying simple pleasures like non-price-gouged snacks, James is one of the most recognizable public figures in the country, and he can’t breathe without people taking notice.

And you can bet the NBA fans came in hot with the jokes. Here were some of the best.

LSU Fan Reax: How the fanbase took the news of Bill O’Brien being in the mix

“If Bill O’Brien becomes the next LSU head coach and I have to deal with this dude again… I am forever just giving up on sports.”

The LSU Tigers are deep into their hunt for the next head coach. Many have speculated names such as Jimbo Fisher based on his ties to current athletic director Scott Woodward. We have written about the laundry list of names, even mentioning one Bill O’Brien who seemed to be back in the news on Thursday and Friday.

On ESPN Rece Davis, a noted Alabama alum and host of ‘College Game Day’ stated he believed O’Brien would be the next head coach of the LSU Tigers. O’Brien is currently going through the Nick Saban coaching rehabilitation program at Alabama.

As you might have expected the fans didn’t take the news very well and for good reason. If Scott Woodward did end up hiring, or at the very least announcing that O’Brien is set to become the head coach we have a situation. I am talking about Tennesse and Greg Schiano-type situation.

Here is how fans took it.

The new ‘Elden Ring’ gameplay trailer is making fans go wild

Everyone is going bananas over Elden Ring.

A new gameplay preview for the wildly-anticipated Elden Ring  dropped on Thursday, and fans are a teensy-weensy bit excited. By that, I mean they’re frothing at the mouth, barely able to contain their hype.

It’s hard to blame them, of course. FromSoftware is behind modern-day classics like Dark SoulsBloodborne, and Sekiro — undeniably one of the best development studios making video games these days. Not to mention George R. R. Martin, the author behind Game of Throneshelped pen the story for Elden Ring. So the expectations for this game are through the roof.

Check out the extended gameplay preview for Elden Ring  for yourself below. There are some slight boss encounter spoilers in the footage, just as a heads up.

Elden Ring  is coming out on Feb. 25, 2022, but if you can’t wait that long to try it out, there’s a beta test coming up soon.

You’re still reeling from that preview, eh? No problem. Everyone across social media is in the same boat. Some fans are picking apart nitty-gritty details, while others are too stoked for coherent thought, and naturally, loads more are dropping memes. I’ve gathered a bunch of the best reactions for you to check out below.
