2023 Women’s World Cup: England vs. Denmark odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s England vs. Denmark odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In each nation’s 2nd Group D battle, England (1 win, 0 draws, 0 losses) takes on Denmark (1-0-0) on Friday with kickoff from Allianz Stadium set for 4:30 a.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Denmark odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England used a 29th-minute penalty kick from M Georgia Stanway to beat Haiti 1-0 in its opener. It had 21 shots and 11 on target, which respectively was 14 and 9 more than Haiti. It also had possession for 75% of the match. England is 4th in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings and is among the favorites to win the World Cup.

Denmark also won its opener, 1-0 over China, so the winner of this match will automatically go through to the knockout stage. Denmark had 13 shots and 2 on target against China, although it didn’t quite dominate like England. China had 9 shots and 2 on target, possessing 44% of the match. In a strong group, Denmark sits 13th in the world ranking with wins this year over No. 3 Sweden and No. 12 Norway.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +115 | U: -160)

England vs. Denmark picks and predictions

Prediction

England 1, Denmark 1

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+310).

Denmark has been impressive during the calendar year and played China well. While it didn’t dominate China, both were top-15 sides, so it was a good competitive match. Denmark showed its depth. It has wins over Japan, Sweden, Uruguay and Norway this season, having only lost to top-6 sides.

England has drawn 3 of its last 5 matches, going 1-3-1 over that span, having lost 2-0 to Australia on April 11 and drawing both games in July before beating Haiti. These teams are closer on paper than the rankings suggest.

That said, back DRAW (+310) for a small unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-160).

Denmark had 2 shots on target and held China to 2 shots on target. England’s 1 goal despite having 21 shots actually should be seen as an issue as well. Having 11 shots on target and 1 goal showcases lesser-than-expected finishing, which could mean it’ll struggle with fewer opportunities against Denmark.

Denmark has gone Under in in 4 straight matches and in 6 of 7 games this calendar year. England has gone Under in 5 straight matches and was held scoreless in 3 of those. England doesn’t have a single player on its team with 20+ international goals, and it has 3 players with 60+ caps on its defensive line.

The experience on the backline yet not in the final 3rd is cause for concern when it comes to its attack. Twelve of 18 games have gone Under 2.5 through Tuesday. Back UNDER 2.5 (-160).

2023 Women’s World Cup: England vs. Haiti odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s England vs. Haiti odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

England battles Haiti Saturday in Group D action of the 2023 Women’s World Cup Saturday. Kickoff in Brisbane, Australia, is set for 5:30 a.m. ET (FOX) from Suncorp Stadium — also known as Brisbane Stadium. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Haiti odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

The other 2 teams in the group are China and Denmark. England is 4th in the FIFA Women’s Rankings, while Denmark is 13th, China 14th and Haiti 53rd.

This is Haiti’s 1st World Cup. F Batcheba Louis, who has 16 caps and 23 goals, will be the main forward to keep an eye on. All of Haiti’s 3 keepers have a combined 13 caps as well. However, Haiti has won 4 of 6 matches in 2023. It qualified by winning its group in the inter-confederation playoffs, qualifying on Feb. 22, 2023.

England qualified by winning UEFA’s Group D in September 2022. The Lionesses have won 3 of 7 games in 2023, drawing 3 more and losing once. Only 31-year-old D Lucy Bronze has 100+ caps for the team. MF Ella Toone, who also plays for Man U, leads England with 16 goals despite only being 23 years old.

  • Over/Under: 4.5 (O: -115 | U: -120)

England vs. Haiti picks and predictions

Prediction

England 4, Haiti 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

England is one of the best teams in the World Cup and among the favorites to win the tournament. At -5000, there is no value to bet the Lionesses to win outright, especially after upsets like New Zealand was able to make to open the event vs. Norway.

Haiti (+4000) should have passionate play with it being the country’s first World Cup. However, don’t expect the Haitians to pull off an upset against a powerhouse like England.

PASS.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 4.5 (-120).

Simply put, Haiti doesn’t have the experience or technical expertise to keep it close against England. It has gone Under this total in 6 of 7 games in 2023. Haiti has an ultra-young roster too, so it should be able to keep pace with England, but it may not be able to finish opportunities.

England has not scored in 3 consecutive games, drawing 2 straight matches 0-0. It has scored more than 4 goals just twice in its last 15 matches, one against Belgium and one against Luxembourg.

England’s experience comes in its backline as well, having 2 defenders with the most caps on the roster. No English player has scored more than 16 goals for the nation, so its roster should primarily be focused on defending at a high level.

Expect England to score often, just not frequently enough for the Over to hit. TAKE UNDER 4.5 (-120).

2022 World Cup: England vs. Senegal odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s England vs. Senegal odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

England battles Senegal in the Round of 16 of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Kickoff from Al Bayt Stadium is set for 2 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Senegal odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England won Group B with 2 victories and a draw. They opened up World Cup play with an impressive 6-2 win over Iran. M Bukayo Saka was their only multi-goal scorer in that game.

England then drew USA 0-0 and was outshot by 2, their worst performance of the tournament. England ended group play with a 3-0 win over Wales. England, per FIFA Men’s Rankings, is the 5th-best team in the world.

Senegal, on the other hand, sits 18th and finished second in Group A. Netherlands won the group, but Senegal did finish with 2 wins, taking down Ecuador 2-1 and Qatar 3-1.

Their lone loss came against the Netherlands, losing 2-0 despite having more shots and more shots on frame. Senegal is captained by Chelsea D Kalidou Koulibaly.

Prediction

England 2, Senegal 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

England should come out on top in regulation, and the odds here expect that. (-180) is unplayable odds for England to win. Senegal played a strong game against the Netherlands and still ended up losing.

They did score a combined 5 goals against Ecuador and Qatar. Senegal has solid, world-class talent from multiple top-tier leagues, but England has the pace and depth to outlast and wear them down.

England looked the part of a contender and should have the firepower to get multiple in on Senegal, who allowed 4 goals in 3 Group Stage matches.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+145).

Both teams went Over this total in 2 of their 3 Group Stage games.

England scored 9 goals in 3 games and allowed 2. Senegal, on the other hand, scored 5 and allowed 4. The England attack is laced with dynamic wingers like F Marcus Rashford and F Raheem Sterling.

Couple that with arguably the best finisher in the world in F Harry Kane, and England should find success against a Senegal backline that allowed a goal in every Group Stage game.

Senegal also had double-digit shots in every Group Stage game, so expect them to have opportunities to score as well. Considering it all, back the OVER 2.5 (+145).

2022 World Cup: Wales vs. England odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Wales vs. England odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

England (1 win, 0 losses, 1 draw) battles Wales at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium Tuesday with kickoff for the Group B group match set for 2 p.m. ET (FS1) Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Wales vs. England odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England isn’t quite through to the next round, but they basically are. With a 4-goal differential, worst-case scenario assuming they don’t get destroyed by Wales is a 2nd-place finish in the group. By destroy, they would need to lose to Wales by at least 3.

England has looked like the group’s best team, but did struggle against USA in their 2nd match with 2 fewer shots in the 0-0 draw. England beat Iran 6-2 in their World Cup opener with F Bukayo Saka scoring twice. They are flush with top EPL talent.

As for Wales, F Gareth Bale is the renown leader, but he is aging and has struggled. Nice F Aaron Ramsey is the vice captain and plays an important role as well. They allowed 21 shots to Iran and lost 2-0 after drawing USA 1-1 with a Bale penalty-kick goal evening that battle.

Prediction

England 3, Wales 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

There’s just no value here. Wales hasn’t shown enough to even consider a draw. It scored a penalty kick in 1 game and allowed 2 and 21 shots to an inferior side in another.

England cannot quite take their foot off the gas, especially considering they should want the No. 1 spot in the group. They will more than likely come out on top, but at (-220), there’s not much value.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+100).

England scored 6 against Iran and had 8 shots and 3 shots on target against a solid USA backline that has quick wing backs. Wales isn’t as deep and should be exhausted.

England will have better finishing than Iran and should net at least 3 if they can get an equal 21 shots. Players like Saka and F Raheem Sterling will be too much for Wales to handle, as they were Iran.

Wales has a few quality forwards in F Daniel James as well, and when England went up big on Iran, they didn’t keep the pressure on. That could repeat itself against Wales.

2022 World Cup: England vs. USA odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s England vs. USA odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Wrapping up Friday’s World Cup action in Group B, England (1 win, 0 losses, 0 draws) will battle the USA (0-0-1) at Al Bayt Stadium set. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. USA odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England absolutely spanked Iran in its World Cup opener 6-2. England M Bukayo Saka led the scoring with 2 goals, referred to as a “brace” in soccer speak.

England had 79% of possession and 5 more shots (4 more shots on target). On a sour note for the England, F Harry Kane injured his ankle vs. Iran. He will be availalbe for the USA match, but the concern is if he will be 100%.

USA had an unsatisfying 1-1 draw with the F Gareth Bale-led Wales. US score 1st, early in the 1st half, but a late bad foul in the box by D Walker Zimmerman led to a penalty kick goal by Bale.

The Americans shockingly did not play M Gio Reyna, who will be 100% healthy and likely to start Friday. USA actually had 2 fewer shots on goal and 1 less shot on target vs. Wales despite having 59% of the possession.

Prediction

England 2, USA 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

There’s no value here. There wasn’t enough value Wednesday afternoon when England was favored at -170, and there’s definitely no value with the line up to -205 Friday before kickoff.

If I had to choose something, it would be the Draw (+350). USA played better than the numbers look against Wales, and England got on a role vs. Iran. What was impressive for the Americans, was their ability to limit quality Welsh chances.

Unlike Iran, USA has speed on the defensive edges in D Sergino Dest and D Antonee Robinson to help tame what England’s Saka and F Raheem Sterling are capable of doing.

It would be nice to profit 6.2 times an initial bet on the USMNT (+620), but I don’t see it happening. Still, if you want to gamble and win on a decent long shot … it would be fun to brag about cashing a USA (+620) ticket.

The unknown regarding Kane’s injury also makes the draw enticing. I would still PASS though with just a slight lean to the Draw (+350).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-120).

England looked unstoppable against Iran, and while the point still stands for Dest and Robinson, both received a full dose of work against Wales and could have tired legs.

The quality on the England side is difficult to overlook. England had 13 shots and put 7 on target. It controlled possession and looked incredible with its finishing. I expect a similar result.

England did, however, give up 2 goals to Iran, and the USA attack, led by Chelsea F Christian Pulisic, should be even more lethal. If the USMNT can get at least 3 shots on target, expect 1 to be converted.

The pace of this game, especially with the excitement on both ends, should produce goals as well. Each team was over 80% in passing accuracy, so they should be able to breakthrough backlines with that efficiency.

World Cup group stage: England vs. Iran odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s England vs. Iran odds and lines, with World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

To commence World Cup Group B action, England will take on Iran with kickoff set for 8 a.m. ET Monday from Khalifa International Stadium. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Iran odds, and make our best World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England is among the favorites to win it all, and its roster backs up the potential. It is led by F Harry Kane up top and has quality supporting attackers in F Raheem Sterling and F Marcus Rashford.

England didn’t play too well in the qualifiers for the World Cup, drawing Hungary and Poland in late 2021. Nonetheless, its roster is loaded with top-tier English Premier League talent and should be just fine.

Iran could be a solid sleeper. Its trio of forwards have combined for 98 international goals with F Sardar Azmoun leading the way with 41.

He’s just 27 years old, the youngest of the 3, and should be primed for success. Iran is 4-2-1 in its 7 games in 2022. It sits 20th in the men’s FIFA world rankings. England is 5th.

Prediction

England 2, Iran 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

A top-20 international matchup should yield better odds for England, but it is a heavy favorite. All these values are justified, and they do not pose enticing lines. A draw (+370) isn’t a horrible option, but I would pass and play the total here.

Over/Under (O/U)

LEAN OVER 2.5 (+125).

Iran hasn’t played a team of England’s caliber, and it doesn’t have many players that compete at that level. Kane, Sterling and others like F Mason Mount and M Jack Grealish should be able to create ample opportunity.

However, Iran does have a capable attack. F Mehdi Taremi plays for Porto and Azmoun is quality option for Bayer Leverkusen. The England backline is where some problems could be as well.

D Harry Maguire could get the start and has had some struggled with United this season. Also England going with a 3-4-3 like they are predicted to do could add some pressure in the midfield and could their backline strength to be sacrificed at times.

This game should be a strong start for England, and 2-1 or 3-1 seems like a quality prediction.

England vs. Italy odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s England vs. Italy odds and lines, with Champions League picks and predictions.

England (0 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw) welcomes Italy (1-1-0) to Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England Saturday. Kickoff for the 3rd of 6 group stage games is set for 2:45 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the England vs. Italy odds and lines, and make our best UEFA Nations League bets, picks and predictions.

The two global soccer powerhouses will highlight just a handful of premier games in the 3rd round of the group stage. Italy failed to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup but still sits 6th on FIFA’s men’s rankings.

Italy is led by M Nicolò Barella, who scored the winning goal against Hungary in a 2-1 Tuesday. Italy drew Germany 1-1 in its 1st game (June 4).

England sit 5th in the world and will play in a group with Iran, USA, and Wales in the November World Cup.

England is led by F Harry Kane but has struggled in Nations League play. Chelsea M Mason Mount and Manchester City F Raheem Sterling help highlight the elite English attack.

[tipico]

Prediction

Italy 1, England 1

Money line (ML)

LEAN DRAW (+230).

While I like the draw in this match, I also wouldn’t mind combining the draw and Italy to win at -122.

The home side is the far favorite, but England hasn’t played like it as of late. England lost to Hungary 1-0 by a penalty June 4 and only drew Germany 1-1 Tuesday because of a penalty.

England had fewer shots than Hungary and was out possessed by Germany 63% to 37%. England just hasn’t shown much despite being one of the better teams in the world.

Italy, on the other hand, doesn’t have a World Cup to play for. This is it. Italy has many young, up-and-coming prospects that have already started to show promise.

I expect Italy, as it has proven, to keep this game competitive.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-150).

This is by far the best bet in this match. It’s worth the extra bit of juice. England’s first 2 games saw scores of 1-0 and 1-1 – with 2 of the 3 goals being penalty kicks.

Italy’s first 2 games were 1-1 and 2-1, but the lone Hungary goal in the 2-1 loss to Italy was an own goal.

The Nations League games just haven’t been high scoring, and I wouldn’t bank that this one is either.

Also, as mentioned Italy has a young team and doesn’t have a player on its current roster that has more than 10 goals and no player has more than 50 caps.

Euro 2020 Final prop bet odds, picks and predictions

Previewing Sunday’s Euro 2020 Final between England and Italy, with prop bet odds, picks, tips, predictions and best bets.

After numerous nail-biting matches, the Euro 2020 Final is finally here. It’ll be England and Italy taking the pitch at 3 p.m. ET Sunday. The match takes place at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Below, we preview the 5 best Euro 2020 Final prop bets and make our best Euro 2020 picks and predictions.

England is coming in having defeated Denmark 2-1 via a controversial penalty kick decision in extra time. Italy took down Spain 4-2 in penalty kicks.

Both sides look to their defense to guide them. It’s been a dominant defensive display as England has given up just 1 goal in the tournament while Italy has allowed just 3.

England vs. Italy Euro 2020 Final: Best Bets

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 11:10 a.m. ET.

Both teams to score (+115)

While the defenses have been strong, both England and Italy have managed to put goals on the board.

England had just 2 goals through three Group Stage matches, but its offense has come alive in the knockout rounds to score 8 goals in three matches.

Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and the comeback of Mason Mount have created a nice three-headed monster.

On the other side of the pitch, Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne have played well of late and Italy has scored 12 goals in the tournament. Expect both teams to score at least once.

Harry Kane to score 2 or more goals (+900)

Let’s note – Kane is England’s option from the spot. It’s worth betting at this great value that he gets one of his own and then maybe Sterling can draw another penalty.

Kane has scored four times in the last three matches, and he’ll be a lethal threat for the home side. Expect Kane to get at least one and the 9-1 odds make it worthwhile to bet him to score twice or more.

Special UEFA EURO 2020 betting offer

Score at half 0-0 (+115)

As I predicted earlier in the week, I think both teams score, but I also find the value in betting +115 for the final score at half to be 0-0.

Eight of Italy’s 12 goals in Euro 2020 were scored in the second half or in extra time, and seven of England’s 10 goals have come in the second half or extra time.

This game should come alive in the second half, but a slow first 45 minutes wouldn’t be shocking. With both strong, experienced backlines, expect a slow-churning first half.

Jorginho to get a yellow (+400)

Italian center-mid Jorginho has committed six fouls so far this tournament.

While none of them have been worthy of a yellow card, in a game likely to favor the home side, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the normally-composed mid get risky with his challenges.

He had two yellow cards in 28 appearances with Chelsea this past season, and he had 10 yellow cards in 31 appearances the season prior. At +400 value, this prop offers solid odds, especially considering how the game could be officiated.

Sterling to have Over 1.5 shots on target (+140)

Sterling used his speed to draw a penalty last match, and he should use it again to his advantage. Likely to play the entire game, Sterling is England’s best option on the edge.

Sterling has 8 shots on target so far this tournament and can be expected to be ultra-aggressive with his touches at home in the final. He’s been the best attacking option for England, and he should make his presence felt in this match.

Euro 2020 Final: England vs. Italy odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Euro 2020 Final odds and lines between England and Italy, with UEFA EURO 2020 picks, tips, predictions and best bets.

In Sunday’s Euro 2020 Final, England takes on Italy. The match is set to kick off at 3 p.m. ET at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Below, we preview the England vs. Italy odds and lines and make our best Euro 2020 bets, picks and predictions.

England will get yet another game in front of a raucous home crowd. As we saw with Hungary, this does make a difference, and it should give a boost to the home side.

Now, that’s not to say England’s without talent. Winger Raheem Sterling and F Harry Kane have been a couple of the tournament’s most electric players. Having conceded a goal for the first time in the tournament against Denmark in the semifinals, England has had a stout backline as well.

It’ll be playing an equally impressive Italian side. Italy has given up just 3 goals in the tournament. Its backline is led by veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini. Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, Lazio F Ciro Immobile and Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne lead the way up front.

Both sides have rosters filled with some of the best talents in the world.

Prediction

Italy 1, England 1 (Italy wins in extra time)

Money line (ML)

BET on a DRAW (+195) because both teams have shown resourcefulness in tight games.

England was down 1-0 to Denmark and quickly countered to tie it. The home side has shown enough to be the favorite, but it hasn’t yet taken on a high-level opponent like Italy.

Having defeated both Spain and Belgium, not trailing for a minute of either match, Italy has taken down a few European goliaths.

All three money line wagers are plus-money bets, and with both teams having had their semifinal match go to extra time, there’s a good chance this one goes past 90 minutes.

You can get Italy to win the cup at -110. If you’re feeling risky, you can couple this with the regulation draw.

After watching the grittiness Italy had in the semifinals and against an elite Belgium side in the quarterfinals, I think it’ll come out on top but not in the first 90 minutes.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 0.5 GOALS IN THE FIRST HALF (+125) as both teams typically outlast their opponent and score late in the match.

Eight of Italy’s 12 goals in Euro 2020 were scored in the second half or in extra time. While I predicted both sides to get on the board, it’s likely to be in a thrilling second half.

England runs a similar story. Seven of its 10 goals have come in the second half or extra time. It has been a tale told by most teams, and it’s one I’d be willing to bet on in the Euro 2020 Final.

Betting on both teams not to score in the first half is the best bet on the total.

In the biggest international sporting event since the world was taken siege by COVID-19, normalcy is returned in the form of England at home against Italy.

Despite both sides being taken to extra time in their respective semifinal match, England and Italy have looked dominant all tournament. With all eyes on the home side, let’s dive into how one can bet on England in the Euro 2020 Final.

  • Money line: England +170 (bet $100 to win $170) | Italy +190 (bet $100 to win $190) | Draw +200
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +140 | U: -190)

How to bet on England in the Euro 2020 Final

When thinking about betting on England, there are a few huge mistakes you’ll want to avoid.

We describe those below, but with BetMGM, one huge perk is the parlays offered by the book. These give the best odds but ALL bets must hit in order to win.

One I love:

  • England to have more corners + the first half to be a draw + Under 2.5 scored in the match (+360).

If you bet $100 at the +360 odds and it hits, you fetch a profit of $360.

Along those lines, Italy and England have odds of -110 and -120, respectively, to win the match. That means one must bet $120 on England, or $110 on Italy, to win to return a $100 profit.

Let’s look at how to bet the money line and the Over/Under in the Euro 2020 Final and what mistakes to avoid.

Bet $1 on any team’s money line, WIN $100 (in free bets) if any EURO team scores a goal that day. Promotion available in CO, IA, IN, MI, NJ, PA, TN, VA, WV and Washington D.C.

Euro 2020 Final bets: Money line (ML)

The first rule is to properly understand the money line. The money line is referring to the full 90 minutes and excludes any result in extra time or penalty kicks. That’s why there is an option for a draw.

Given that both teams tied the first 90 minutes of their last match, it’s paramount to consider that could happen again. It’s also possible to bet on the Cup Winner at slightly reduced odds for each team without the threat of the draw.

Euro 2020 Final bets: Over/Under (O/U)

The total, or Over/Under, follows similar rules and asks how many goals the two teams will combine to score in regular time.

The projected goal total for the Euro 2020 Final is set at 2.5 and gives strong odds to the Under as both defenses have looked dominant.

Italy has given up 3 goals through six games and England has given up 1. That’s why the odds favor the Under, but both teams have scored multiple goals in multiple games.
