[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Spain battles England Sunday in the final match of Euro 2024 from Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Spain vs. England odds, and make our best Euro 2024 bets, picks and predictions.

Spain, which has one of the youngest rosters in Euro 2024, has had an impressive last 10 days, taking down host country Germany 2-1 in the quarterfinal and beating France 2-1 in a semifinal. Spain beat Georgia 4-1 in the Round of 16. Spain was the only team in the group stage to win all 3 games. It beat Croatia 3-0, Italy 1-0 and Albania 1-0. It sits 8th in the FIFA World Rankings.

England, which sits 5th in the world, went 1-2-0 in the group stage, taking down Serbia 1-0 and drawing Denmark 1-1 and Slovenia 1-1. England defeated Slovakia 2-1 in the Round of 16, relying on a 95th-minute miracle goal from M Jude Bellingham to force extra time. England then drew Switzerland 1-1 through 120 minutes and won 5-3 in penalty kicks. It followed that up with a solid 2-1 win over the Netherlands Wednesday.

Spain vs. England picks and predictions

Prediction

England 2, Spain 1

Moneyline (ML)

BET ENGLAND TO LIFT THE CUP (+126).

Spain has won both games, and it has taken full advantage of the opportunities it has had. However, it hasn’t dominated, having fewer shots in both of its last 2 matches and allowing 23 shots from Germany. After not allowing a goal through its 3 group stage matches, Spain has given up a goal in each of its knockout stage games.

If England get those types of opportunities, it should be able to make them count. England dominated a solid Netherlands side and had more shots in its quarterfinal match against Switzerland as well. It also has the more experienced side behind F Harry Kane and 30-year-old D John Stones.

Considering those trends, take ENGLAND TO LIFT THE CUP (+126) for the best team-specific value.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+158).

Both teams have been scoring well over the last 10 days. Spain has scored at least 2 goals in each of its last 3 games and has gone north of this total in all 3 knockout stage games. It is 7-2 O/U this total throughout its last 9 games.

England has scored at least 2 goals in 2 of its last 3 games as well. After notching 9 shots on a competent Netherlands backline, the England attack may finally be starting to come together.

Given the recent trends for both sides, back OVER 2.5 (+158).

Euro 2024: Netherlands vs. England odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Netherlands vs. England odds and lines, with Euro 2024 expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Netherlands battles England Wednesday in a semifinal match of Euro 2024 from BVB Stadion Dortmund in Dortmund, Germany. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Netherlands vs. England odds, and make our best Euro 2024 bets, picks and predictions.

Netherlands, No. 7 in the FIFA World Rankings, didn’t look overly impressive in the group stage, going 1-1-1. Netherlands beat Poland 2-1, drew France 0-0 and lost to Austria 3-2. In the knockout stage, it throttled Romania 3-0 and then took down Turkey 2-1 in a quarterfinal Saturday. However, against Turkey, it ended with fewer shots and as many shots on frame despite a significant talent advantage and a 60% possession edge.

Of the 3 remaining nations, Netherlands (+500) has the longest betting odds to win the tournament behind favorite Spain (-185) and England (+270). Spain advanced to Sunday’s final with a 2-1 victory over France Tuesday.

England went 1-2-0 in the group stage, taking down Serbia 1-0 and drawing Denmark 1-1 and Slovenia 1-1. England defeated Slovakia 2-1 in the Round of 16, relying on a 95th-minute miracle goal from M Jude Bellingham to force extra time before F Harry Kane headed in the eventual game-winner. In the quarterfinals, England took down Switzerland 5-3 in penalty kicks after the teams had drawn 1-1. England again had to rally as F Bukayo Saka equalized the match in the 80th minute.

Netherlands vs. England picks and predictions

Prediction

Netherlands 0, England 0 — Netherlands advances in extra time

Moneyline (ML)

BET DRAW (+175).

England has been able to make it through to the semifinals and has the 2nd-best odds to win the tournament, but it has struggled to showcase its high-end talent consistently. It has drawn 3 of its last 4 matches and has drawn 3 matches since late March against what most would consider quality opponents in Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland.

In the group stage, as mentioned, Netherlands drew France, which is more to England’s caliber than Turkey or Romania. Netherlands certainly has the talent to keep pace with England, and after a quarterfinal run in the World Cup in 2022, it has the experience in big-time matches to not be scared of the moment either.

At this value, TAKE DRAW (+175).

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS.

If one really has an itch and must play the total, the suggested wager is the Under 1.5 (+158).

England has scored just 4 regulation goals through the 5 Euro matches and has one of the best backlines in the tournament. Similarly, Netherlands has a strong backline and has allowed 0 goals or 1 goal in its last 4 matches. It has a clean sheet in 2 of those 5.

AVOID the total, but the Under 1.5 (+158) is the play if one really wants to wager here.

Euro 2024: England vs. Switzerland odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s England vs. Switzerland odds and lines, with Euro 2024 expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Switzerland battles England Saturday in a quarterfinal match of Euro 2024 from Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany. Kickoff is set for noon ET (FOX). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Switzerland odds, and make our best Euro 2024 bets, picks and predictions.

England sits 4th in the FIFA World Rankings and has a world-class team. Despite individual talent, it did not dominate in group stage pay. It only beat Serbia 1-0 in its opening match, ending with just 3 shots on frame, then drew Denmark 1-1 and drew Slovenia 0-0. In the Round of 16, England beat Slovakia 2-1 in extra time, yet was minutes away from an early exit as M Jude Bellingham drew the game even at 1 in the 95th minute. England ended with just 2 shots on frame.

Switzerland, No. 19 in FIFA’s rankings, was impressive in its Round of 16 victory, but it didn’t end out the group stage well. It beat Italy 2-0 on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals while allowing just 1 shot on frame, but it drew both Germany and Scotland 1-1 in its final 2 group stage matches. It started its Euro play with a 3-1 win over Hungary. Switzerland has been led by Bayer Leverkusen M Granit Xhaka.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

England vs. Switzerland picks and predictions

Prediction

England 1, Switzerland 0

Moneyline (ML)

BET ENGLAND (+115).

England has the talent, and it should be getting more familiar with each other. It was expected to struggle to start the knockout round, but it should eventually find the rhythm given the high-level players it has taking the pitch. That should aid a breakthrough of a stout Switzerland backline. England beat Italy twice in the Euro qualifies as well.

While Switzerland has impressed, against top talent like Germany, it had just 4 shots while allowing 18. It also ended with fewer shots against Scotland. If England gets more chances, expect it to capitalize. At these odds, TAKE ENGLAND (+115).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET ALTERNATE UNDER 1.5 (+160).

These high-profile games don’t often produce many goals, and the Swiss side plays a technically sound, methodical type of game. Switzerland has scored 5 goals through 4 games yet has just 11 shots on frame over its last 3.

It will be facing an England backline that has 2 clean sheets in its last 4 matches and has scored just 3 regular-time goals in its last 4 matches. England has gone Under even this total in 3 of its last 5 games. With a strong and consistent backline on both sides, take UNDER 1.5 (+166).

Euro 2024: England vs. Slovakia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s England vs. Slovakia odds and lines, with Euro 2024 expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Slovakia battles England Sunday in the Round of 16 of Euro 2024 from Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Kickoff is set for noon ET (FOX). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Slovakia odds, and make our best Euro 2024 bets, picks and predictions.

In a group with Belgium and Ukraine, Slovakia wasn’t expected to get to the knockout stage, but after taking down Belgium 1-0 in its opening game and then drawing Romania 1-1 in its final group stage competition, it advanced. Slovakia did lose 2-1 to Ukraine in its other match. Slovakia went 2-1-1 in its 4 friendlies prior to the tournament. Slovakia’s key threat is M Stanislav Lobotka, who plays for Napoli as well. Slovakia is 45th in the FIFA World Rankings.

England, which is ranked No. 4, will have a world-class team taking the pitch Sunday. Although not as impressive as expected, it did beat Serbia 1-0 in its opening match, ending with just 3 shots on frame. England then drew Denmark 1-1 and drew Slovenia 0-0 in its final group stage competition. England has a strong attack but has yet to put things together with 4 or fewer shots on frame in all 3 matches.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

England vs. Slovakia picks and predictions

Prediction

England 1, Slovakia 1 — England advances in extra time

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+330).

The safe play here is obviously England to win, but if there’s one thing England has done over the last half a decade, it is disappoint. It should still come out on top, but it might be more of a challenge than most think. England drew 2 of its 3 games and far from dominated in its lone win over Serbia.

Similarly, Slovakia has a strong midfield that can possess. It beat Belgium, a team with star M Kevin De Bruyne. Slovakia has drawn 2 of its last 6 games, while England has drawn its last 2 and 3 of its last 6.

At these odds, TAKE DRAW (+330).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-144).

England has one of the stronger defensive lines in Euro, led by D John Stones and D Kyle Walker, two extremely experienced backs. England allowed just 1 goal in its 3 Euro matches. It gave up just 4 goals in its 4 friendlies prior to the tournament. Offensively, England scored just 2 goals in its last 3 games.

As for Slovakia, it has gone Under this total in 2 of 3 matches, and has allowed 3 goals through its last 5 games. Given that Slovakia has a competent defense as well and England hasn’t looked great despite a talented attack, BET UNDER 2.5 (-144).

Euro 2024: Denmark vs. England odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Denmark vs. England odds and lines, with Euro 2024 expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

Denmark battles England in the 2nd matchday of Euro 2024 from Deutsche Bank Park Thursday. Kickoff is set for noon ET (FS1). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Denmark vs. England odds, and make our best Euro 2024 bets, picks and predictions.

Denmark opened up its Group C play with a 1-1 draw against Slovenia Sunday, ending with 5 more shots, 2 more shots on frame and 68% of the possession. Denmark came into Euro 2024 having won 3 of 4 friendlies in 2024; however, it drew 0-0 in its lone matchup against a top-20 nation (Switzerland). Denmark sits 21st in the FIFA Men’s World Ranking.

England sits 4th and will have a world-class team taking the pitch. Although not as impressive as expected, it did beat Serbia 1-0 in its first match, ending with just 3 shots on frame and 5 shots in total, allowing 6 shots. England ended with 54% possession. It had also played 4 friendlies prior to the tournament and was 1-1-2 (2 losses) in those. It was 0-1-1 against top-25 sides, which Denmark is here.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Denmark vs. England picks and predictions

Prediction

England 2, Denmark 1

Moneyline (ML)

BET ENGLAND (-145).

England’s national team is littered with top-tier talent from numerous world-class clubs. While it didn’t put it on Serbia as most had hoped, it did come out on top, unlike Denmark. Denmark drew Slovenia and dominated possession, which is concerning. It hasn’t played a top-5 nation since losing to France in the World Cup knockout stage in 2022.

England’s depth of talent, with arguably the world’s best goal-scoring F in Harry Kane and rising-star MF in Jude Bellingham, should help it come out on top, and as it continues to gain experience with the group, it should continue to see results. It won 3 of its last 4 Euro qualifiers.

At these odds, take ENGLAND (-145).

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+126).

England notched 1 goal Sunday but had scored 2 or more in 2 of its 3 games leading up to Euro 2024. The finishing skillset in its attack is there, led by Bayern Munich star Kane, who tallied 36 goals in 32 club games.

While England’s defense did hold Serbia scoreless, it did allow a goal in 3 of 4 friendlies leading up to the tournament, and Denmark, behind Man United F Rasmus Højlund, also has the finishing to break through England’s defense. Denmark has gone Over in 2 of its last 3 games.

For the value on it, take OVER 2.5 (+126).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Spain vs. England odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Spain vs. England odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

In the 2023 Women’s World Cup Final, Spain battles England Sunday. Kickoff from Stadium Australia is set for 6 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Spain vs. England odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Spain finished 2nd in Group C, beating Zambia 5-0 and Costa Rica 3-0. It capped off group stage competition with a 4-0 loss to Japan after both teams had already clinched a knockout stage spot. Spain then thrilled Switzerland, which had not given up a goal in the group stage, 5-1 in the Round of 16. It then beat Netherlands 2-1 in the quarterfinals and Sweden 2-1 in the semifinal. Spain sits 6th in the FIFA Women’s Rankings.

England was among the 3 teams in the group stage to not lose a game. It beat Haiti 1-0 then Denmark 1-0 and topped it off with a 6-1 win over China. England took down Nigeria in the Round of 16 in penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw through 120 minutes. It won 4-2 in penalties. England then beat Colombia 2-1 and topped it off by eliminating one of the host nations, Australia, 3-1. England sits 4th in the world rankings.

Spain vs. England picks and predictions

Prediction

Spain 2, England 1

Moneyline (ML)

BET SPAIN (+160).

Spain has looked like the best team in this tournament, and it has proven that multiple times.

The Round of 16 5-1 win over Switzerland was among the most impressive of the tournament. On top of that, it beat both teams that drew the top-ranked USA – Netherlands and Sweden. Spain has a more impressive knockout stage resume and should be able to breakdown an English defense that has allowed a goal in 3 of its last 4 games.

Spain has scored 2 or more in each knockout stage match. England has had a far easier route, battling 2 teams ranked outside the top 20 and then edging Australia 3-1, although it went into the last 20 minutes tied at 1 each.

BET SPAIN (+160).

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS. BET BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (+105).

England has scored in its last 2 games and in 5 of 6 in the Women’s World Cup. It has also allowed a goal in 3 of its last 4 games and will be playing the most technically-sound attack yet, so it will be challenged defensively.

Similarly, Spain and its opponent have scored in every knockout stage games, winning 5-1, 2-1 and 2-1. It has a lethal offense, averaging 3 goals per game in the knockout stage and has allowed a goal in 4 straight games.

Pass on the total but bet BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (+105).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Australia vs. England odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Australia vs. England odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Australia and England meet Wednesday in a semifinals matchup of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Kickoff from Stadium Australia in Sydney is scheduled for 6 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Australia vs. England odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Both Australia and England are vying for their first-ever Women’s World Cup Final, so this will be a historic result regardless of the winner.

Australia edged France 7-6 on penalties in the quarterfinal round. The Matildas were outshot 21-15, including 5-4 in shots on goal, while France had a 52.0%-to-48.0% possession advantage, too.

England fell behind 1-0 against Colombia at 44′, but F Lauren Hemp smoked one past the keeper in first-half stoppage time to level things 1-1. F Alessia Russo struck at 63′ to put the Lionesses up 2-1, and that’s how things ended.

England will again be without F/M Lauren James, who was hit with a 2-game suspension for stamping a Nigerian player in the Round of 16. Ella Toone will presumably be the replacement in the midfield for the 2nd straight match.

  • Over/Under: 1.5 (O: -190 | U: +135)

Australia vs. England picks and predictions

Prediction

Australia 0, England 0

Moneyline (ML)

Both of these sides should be quite nervous, as each club attempts to ascend to a level not seen before by a women’s side in their nation’s history. I expect to see a rather slow start and very few chances taken for the first 90-plus minutes as both sides play a careful match.

Through an uneventful full-time and extra time, it will reach a crescendo on penalties, where a winner will eventually be determined.

As such, play the DRAW (+210) for a chance to more than double up.

Over/Under (O/U)

Under 1.5 regular time goals (-190) is way too expensive. While I think we get a scoreless draw, I’m not willing to back that high of a number.

I like NO: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-175) slightly better, although it’s still a bit too expensive for my liking.

In addition, playing TIE (+160) as the “result after 75:00 min” is a solid play, as well.

2023 Women’s World Cup: England vs. Colombia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s England vs. Colombia odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

England and Colombia meet Saturday in a quarterfinals matchup of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Kickoff from Stadium Australia is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Colombia odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England is looking to get back to the semifinals which is where the Lionesses made it last World Cup before bowing out against Sweden in 2019.

England posted a win on penalties after a scoreless draw in full-time against Nigeria in the Round of 16 on Monday. The match was anything but uneventful, however, as forward Lauren James was shown a red card and has been banned for 2 matches after stomping on the back of a fallen Nigeria defender.

Colombia posted a 1-0 win over Jamaica on Tuesday in the Round of 16 to reach the quarterfinals for the first time in that nation’s history. Colombia welcomes back fullback Manuela Vanegas after a 1-game suspension for a pair of yellow cards in the group stages.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +145 | U: -200)

England vs. Colombia picks and predictions

Prediction

England 0, Colombia 0

Moneyline (ML)

I am not sure who is going to come through on penalties, but I feel that’s how this quarterfinals match is going to be decided. As a result, DRAW (+260) is a tremendous value on the 3-way line, as you can multiply your initial wager by more than 2 1/2 times.

England was rather sluggish last time out against Nigeria, and Colombia plays a similar style. You can expect the South American side to play it rather close to the vest with tight defense while taking very few chances. It will toss a blanket on England, a team that was outshot by Nigeria last time out.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS.

Under 2.5 Goals (-200) is just too expensive. While there is very little chance we see the back of the net hit 3 or more times, you can’t risk twice as much as your return.

Instead, take a chance on UNDER 1.5 REGULAR TIME GOALS (+145) for a much better value. I am expecting Colombia to clamp down defensively and make it a nightmare for England to shake loose.

I also like the “halftime and full-time” prop, playing TIE/TIE (+350) for the opportunity to more than triple up. If this match does go to penalties, it will be very lucrative if you make this wager.

In the Round of 16, England battles Nigeria Monday. Kickoff from Suncorp Stadium is set for 3:30 a.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Nigeria odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England has a strong group stage showing, taking down Haiti and Denmark both 1-0 and then capping it off with a 6-1 win over China. It finished atop Group D, having scored 8 goals and allowed 1. It was just one of 3 teams to win all 3 matches. England sits 4th in the world per FIFA Women’s Rankings. F Lauren James led the team with 3 group stage goals.

Nigeria wasn’t quite as impressive, but it did enough to pull off an unlikely advance, sending home two top-25 nations, Canada and Ireland. Nigeria beat Australia, which won the group, 3-2. It had 0-0 draws in both of its other matches. Nigeria might have been an underdog in both matches against Ireland and Canada, but it left having tallied 10+ shots. It ranks 40th in the world.

  • Moneyline: England -300 (bet $300 to win $100) | Nigeria +900 (bet $100 to win $900) | Draw +400
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -110 | U: -125)

England vs. Nigeria picks and predictions

Prediction

England 2, Nigeria 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

There’s just no value here. The books heavily juiced BOTH TEAMS NOT TO SCORE, currently at (-225), likely meaning they do not expect Nigeria to get on the board.

England has scored in every game during the World Cup and destroyed top-15 China in its last group stage match. Expect a rout here, but don’t place a moneyline wager as England (-300) is far too expensive.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-125).

Nigeria has a strong defense, and although it was dominated in possession by both Ireland and Canada, it still found a way to hold the two nations scoreless. Ireland was limited to just 1 shot on goal despite being ranked 22nd in the world.

Nigeria has allowed 2 goals through 3 matches and allowed a combined 4 shots on goal against Canada and Ireland. I expect England to come out on top, but it had just 2 goals in its group stage matches aside from the 6-1 thrashing of China.

Nigeria’s defense is its strength while England’s offense has struggled despite its continued winning. Ultimately, take UNDER 2.5 (-125).

2023 Women’s World Cup: China vs. England odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s China vs. England odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In a Group D matchup, China (1-1-0 / W-L-D) and England (2-0-0) meet Tuesday in the 2023 Women’s World Cup at Coopers Stadium in Hindmarsh, South Australia. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the China vs. England odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

China opened its World Cup with a 1-0 setback against Denmark in the opener, and it returned the favor with a 1-0 victory over Group D doormat Haiti last time out on Friday despite playing a majority of the match with just 10 players.

China needs a win and a Denmark draw or loss to Haiti, or a draw and a Denmark loss, to advance to the Round of 16. China hasn’t won back-to-back games at the Women’s World Cup since 1999.

England opened the World Cup with a 1-0 win against Haiti in the opener, and it also posted a 1-0 victory against Denmark on Friday. That victory came with a big price, however, as midfielder Keira Walsh suffered a knee injury. The good news is that tests showed she didn’t suffer an ACL injury, but the bad news is that Walsh is out for this match.

England isn’t quite through just yet, but a draw or a win will punch its ticket to the knockout stages. It can even advance with a loss, depending on the goal differential.

China vs. England odds

Provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday at 1:27 p.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: China +600 (bet $100 to win $600) | England -225 (bet $225 to win $100) | Draw +320 (Bet $100 to win $320)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +105 | U: -145)

China vs. England picks and predictions

Prediction

England 1, China 0

Moneyline (ML)

England (-225) will cost you over 2 times your potential return, and that’s a little too expensive. First off, “The Lionesses” do not need a victory to advance, but simply a draw. It remains to be seen whether it will be pushing super hard, or if it will simply be satisfied with a lower-scoring draw. And missing Walsh also messes up the chemistry a bit.

PASS.

Over/Under (O/U)

I feel as if UNDER 2.5 GOALS (-145) is a slam-dunk play. Based on the results in each of the 1st 2 matches for both sides, however, I’d roll the dice on UNDER 1.5 GOALS (+210) for a chance to more than double up, too.

If you’re really adventurous, playing 1 EXACT TOTAL GOAL (+310) for a chance to more than triple up is also worth a look.

Playing the “multiple correct score” prop with ENGLAND 1:0, 2:0 OR 3:0 (+135) at plus-money is also an attractive play.
