Ohio State football 2025 linebacker commitment Eli Lee wins award at camp

An impressive Sunday showing for the future Buckeye

Now that the weather is starting to change, many more high school football camps will be help and Ohio State 2025 football commitment [autotag]Eli Lee[/autotag] is taking advantage of them.

The Buckeye linebacker verbal participated in the Under Armor Next Camp and was named MVP of his position group. This will surely help Lee’s status among the recruiting sites, as he’s ranked as just the No. 599 overall prospect and 66th linebacker according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Lee stands 6-foot, 3-inches and weighs 215-pounds, has the size and speed to make a difference for the Buckeye defense when he arrives on campus. If his recruiting rankings don’t rise, it would be extremely surprising.

Tarvos Alford is the other linebacker currently committed in Ohio State’s 2025 class, and it remains to be see if another one will be added to the impressive pair.

Ohio State football recruiting: What to expect from 2025 linebacker commit Eli Lee

Tons of potential with Lee #GoBucks

The [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] team didn’t need to go far for it’s most recent commitment, as Akron Hoban linebacker, [autotag]Eli Lee,[/autotag] made his verbal pledge to the Buckeyes on Wednesday evening.

The class of 2025 commitment number grew to four, and although it’s still very early in the cycle, the expectation is that the Buckeyes will once again have one of the top class in the country.

Lee is clearly now part of that and the skill set that he will bring with him to Columbus is impressive. His junior film has been updated, so let’s take a look into what kind of player Ohio State got in Lee.

BOOM! Ohio State football adds in-state linebacker to 2025 recruiting class

A midweek BOOM! #GoBucks

A weekend visit to Columbus was enough to convince Akron Hoban linebacker [autotag]Eli Lee[/autotag] that he wanted to play for [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag].

The junior, who stands 6 feet, 3 inches and weighs 215 pounds, obtained the offer he wanted and didn’t need to wait for other schools to join the hunt. Lee is ranked on the 247Sports composite as the No. 36 player at his position and the 380th overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

Ahead of his visit, he had four other schools offer a scholarship, but the one he received earlier this month seemingly was the only one Lee needed.

Lee becomes the fourth commit of the class, along with quarterback Tavien St. Clair, cornerback Blake Woodby and wide receiver Jayvan Boggs. Aside from St. Clair, each of the other three commits have been during this month.

Ohio State football offers in-state 2025 linebacker

The Bucks didn’t have to go far for this offer #GoBucks

The bye week has put a bit of fire under the [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] coaching staff when it comes to recruiting.

They were on the road last week visiting prospects, making evaluations on who deserves a scholarship offer, and who they need to see more one. Archbishop Hoban has a player who the Buckeye staff didn’t need to see anymore of, linebacker [autotag]Eli Lee[/autotag].

The class of 2025 prospect was offered on Wednesday after a conversation with defensive coordinator [autotag]Jim Knowles[/autotag] and assistant linebackers coach, [autotag]James Laurinaitis[/autotag].

Lee current isn’t ranked in his class, but this offer should help with that in the future.

At the current moment, the Buckeyes have just one commit in the 2025 class, quarterback Tavien St. Clair.
