Texas A&M baseball vs Tennessee College World Series Finals betting line

Texas A&M baseball are narrow underdogs to the Tennessee Volunteers in the College World Series

And then there were two. Texas A&M and Tennessee will battle it out to see who will end the college baseball season as the top team in the nation. For the majority of the year, both teams maintained a top 5 ranking, winning games in all manner of ways.

One of the most remarkable stories of the season is the Aggies’ pitching. From a 2023 season where they set the team record in walks, they’ve made a complete turnaround in 2024, breaking the program strikeout record. This unexpected shift adds an element of unpredictability to the game.

This game will be a battle of the Titans, with the winner claiming the national championship and SEC bragging rights leading into next season. Below is the Moneyline via DraftKings

Texas A&M: +140

Tennessee: -180

Texas A&M vs. Tennessee’s best-of-three series will begin on Saturday, June 22, at 6:30 p.m. CT and air on ESPN.

Chargers have second-best odds to land RB Saquon Barkley

The Texans are the current betting favorite to sign Saquon Barkley.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chargers have the second-best odds of acquiring running back Saquon Barkley.

Free agency kicks off next week and the Pro-Bowler’s +275 odds (bet $100 to win $275) to land with the Bolts is an exciting proposition.

The Texans are the current betting favorite to sign Barkley at -150.

Several question marks remain about whether current players will remain in Powder Blues after the free agency frenzy, but potential new players joining the Chargers for the 2024 season also present exciting opportunities.

This will be the first time in his career that Barkley enters free agency, and it seems now more than ever that Los Angeles is a likely possibility for his next home.

Barkley was the No. 2 overall pick in 2018 and could aid the Chargers’ run game, which has struggled the past few seasons.

Barkley amassed 962 rushing yards and six touchdowns last year while adding 280 receiving yards and four scores.

However, it could come down to the financial aspect, as Barkley will likely want a pretty hefty contract—currently projected to be worth $12 million per year.

Whether Barkley is a target or not, look for Los Angeles to address the running back position in free agency to boost the rushing attack.

DraftKings to open first-of-its-kind sportsbook in partnership with PGA Tour

DraftKings and the PGA Tour are calling this a “first-of-its-kind partnership”.

Ten months after breaking ground, the DraftKings Sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale is ready for its grand opening.

Former Arizona Cardinals receiver and avid golfer Larry Fitzgerald will make the ceremonial first bet on Thursday, Oct. 19, which is also when they’ll hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The sportsbook opens to the public on Oct. 20 at 10 a.m.

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan was at the groundbreaking last December. He said there was a time when he couldn’t envision a sportsbook opening at the site of one of the Tour’s venues but admitted if he had, “this would have been the location I would have said.”

Well, now it’s a reality, this first-of-its-kind partnership between DraftKings and the PGA Tour. The 13,000-square-foot venue is about a 5-iron away from the TPC Scottsdale clubhouse. The sea of fans that descend on the WM Phoenix Open next February won’t have a difficult time finding the place.

There will be 40 betting kiosks, seven ticket windows and 3,400-square feet of video walls showing that day’s sports action. There’s also a dining area and a huge sports bar that opens up to a patio with cabanas and firepits.

Ron Price, COO of the PGA Tour, and Jennifer Aguiar, DraftKings Chief Compliance Officer, are scheduled to be in attendance along with Fitzgerald. Former ESPN personality Mike Golic will emcee the event.

NFL Week 1 odds: Chargers open as slight favorites over the Dolphins

The Chargers open as slight favorites for their Week 1 matchup against the Dolphins following the NFL’s schedule release.

The Chargers are out to prove that they’re better than their first-round playoff exit last season, and will open as slight favorites over the Dolphins in Week 1 of their 2023 campaign following the release of the team’s schedule.

DraftKings Sportsbook has Los Angeles as a 2.5-point favorite, which indicates that they expect the game to be fairly close between the rising AFC powerhouses.

Led by Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and the newest addition, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, the Dolphins won’t be an easy out for the Chargers and are expected to compete with the Bills for the AFC East crown in 2023.

Though it is too early to tell what either team’s 53-man roster might look like in early September, this matchup is set to be one of the more intriguing games on the schedule for Week 1.

The last time the two teams faced off this past season, the Chargers won in a close affair, 23-17.

Jets open as 3-point underdog for season opener against Bills

The New York Jets are early 3-point underdogs on DraftKings for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills.

We already know now who the Jets will open the 2023 season against. They will host the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

We now also know the early spread for the game. DraftKings Sportsbook has the Jets as an early 3-point underdog for the Week 1 AFC East clash.

Aaron Rodgers will be making his Jets debut and the home crowd is going to be absolutely raucous. But the Bills are still seen as the team to beat in the division, having won the crown two years in a row. The Jets have closed the gap on the Bills with their big push this offseason.

The Jets and Bills split their season series in 2022. The Jets won at home as a double-digit underdog in Week 9. It’s a much closer outlook this time around. The Jets can make a major statement right out of the game if they can beat the Bills in primetime to start the season.

DraftKings unveils Texas A&M football win totals for the 2023 season

With a bevy of talent returning and a new offensive coordinator at the helm, how many wins is DraftKings forecasting for Texas A&M next season?

There’s no better time to put your faith in Texas A&M football after DraftKings recently unveiled a handful of betting odds for the Aggies and other Power Five programs, including the over/under for 2023 wins.

The sportsbook lists the Aggies’ win total for the coming season at 7.5, with the over odds at -120 and the under at +100. Texas A&M is tied with Arkansas and Ole Miss for the fifth-highest win total line in the SEC.

Unsurprisingly, the programs that clock in ahead of the Maroon and White include Georgia (11.5), Alabama (10.5), LSU (9.5), and Tennessee (9.5). Mississippi State (6.5), Auburn (6.5), South Carolina (6.5), Kentucky (6.5), Missouri (6.5), Florida (5.5), and Vanderbilt (3.5) sit behind the Aggies with respective lower win totals per DraftKings.

As Texas A&M looks to rebound from their 5-7 season a year ago, they’ll have ample opportunities to make some noise against the heavy hitters in the SEC. The Aggies face both Tennessee (Oct 14) and LSU (Nov 25) on the road this season, while welcoming the Crimson Tide to Kyle Field for a seismic matchup on October 7.

The sportsbook also set the betting line for five of the Aggies’ matchups this season including four against SEC competition. Texas A&M is the favorite against Arkansas (-3) but the underdog versus Alabama (+9.5), at Ole Miss (+3.5), and at LSU (+10.5).

Much has been made about the immense pressure on Jimbo Fisher and their newly-hired offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino. But the cynics and talking heads should only provide more whiteboard material for an Aggies team that flashed its promise down the stretch of the 2022 season.

A&M sees the return of sophomore Conner Weigman, who threw for 896 yards and eight touchdowns without an interception in five games last season. A promising wide receiver group headlined by star second-year Evan Stewart has a case to be made for the best in the nation after seeing the return of senior Ainias Smith, who rejoins the likes of Moose Muhammad III.

Additionally, a defense that was supported by a number of true freshmen ranked 25th in the country in points allowed (21.1 PPG) last season and should take another leap forward after ending their year on a high note with a massive upset over No. 5 LSU.

There are too many promising signs to write off the Aggies before the 2023 season begins. The talent level on the roster, coupled with high hopes for a rejuvenated offense under Petrino, should make the Maroon and White an enticing pick to make noise in the coming season.

Which position will Chargers select with their first pick in 2023 NFL draft?

Find out which direction oddsmakers think the Chargers will go with their first-round selection.

We are hours away from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announcing who will be the newest member of the Chargers. Who will it be, though?

While fans are amid their final debates on who Los Angeles should draft, oddsmakers have created some NFL futures bets that show which position is favored to be their first selection.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, wide receiver has the highest odds to be the first position taken at -210.

Tight end is second at +250, followed by defensive lineman/edge (+700), running back (+800), cornerback (+1000), offensive lineman (+2200), safety (+2500), linebacker (+2500) and quarterback (+15000).

L.A. has a significant need for speed at the wideout. They have been linked to USC’s Jordan Addison, Boston College’s Zay Flowers, TCU’s Quentin Johnston and Tennessee’s Jalin Hyatt throughout the pre-draft process.

If Georgia’s Nolan Smith, Iowa’s Lukas Van Ness or Clemson’s Myles Murphy were to slide, it could be tempting for the Bolts to snag one of them.

Texas RB Bijan Robinson and the Chargers have been connected and I could see them being in consideration for their pick, that’s if he slides or they trade up.

Cornerback can be a sneaky bet because Brandon Staley is always looking to add to the position room and with there being uncertainty surrounding J.C. Jackson’s return from his injury last season.

If I were making a bet, I would place money on tight end, specifically with the Chargers taking Notre Dame’s Michael Mayer.

Only time will tell.
