Betting odds released for which NFL team will draft Oregon QB Bo Nix

FanDuel Sportsbook has released betting odds for which NFL team is going to select Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The coaching carousel in the world of college football seems to finally be coming to a close, and the transfer portal has cooled at long last. With about a month until spring football gets underway in Eugene, we have an opportunity to focus on the upcoming NFL draft, and where the many soon-to-be pro Oregon Ducks might end up.

While a large number of former Ducks will likely be playing on Sundays next season, one of the most intriguing is quarterback Bo Nix.

Nix seems to be a polarizing figure in the world of draft analysis. Some think he could be a first-round pick who comes off the board as soon as the early teens. Others believe he has a middle-to-late second-round grade.

This past week, FanDuel Sportsbook placed betting odds on which team would draft Nix in April. Here’s where they think he is most likely to go, along with some of our analysis on the potential suitor for Oregon’s QB.

Oregon Ducks with one of nation’s highest win-totals entering 2024 season

The Oregon Ducks have one of the highest win totals for the 2024 college football season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The past couple of months in college football have been spent with teams across the nation jockeying for positions by making additions to their roster through the transfer portal and high school recruiting ranks. Now that we are hurdling towards the spring football season, it’s about to be time for fans to get a look at what those new-look rosters actually shape out to be, which will give us a better sense of who will lead the way in the upcoming historic 2024 season.

For the most part, we already have a pretty decent sense of who is going to be at the top of the sport, though, with some traditional powers like Georgia and Ohio State taking early pole position, while other players like Texas and Oregon get set for what could be successful campaigns as well.

This past week, FanDuel Sportsbook set out their initial win-total bets for the season, setting over/unders for each team in the Power 4 conferences. The Ducks are projected to be one of the best teams in the nation, so it makes sense that their win total is among the highest in the sport going into the spring.

Take a look at where Oregon’s win total stands compared to the other top teams in the nation:

Texas A&M football team favored for season opener versus Notre Dame

The official beginning of the Mike Elko era in Bryan-College Station is over seven months away but Texas A&M is already favored for its season opener at Kyle Field.

The official beginning of the Mike Elko era in Bryan-College Station is over seven months away but Texas A&M is already favored for its season opener at Kyle Field.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Aggies have opened as 1.5-point favorites for their clash with Notre Dame on Aug. 31. The Fighting Irish will be led by senior quarterback Riley Leonard, who transferred to South Bend, Indiana on Dec. 12 after three years at Duke.

Leonard spent his last two seasons playing for Elko in Durham, North Carolina, which adds even more to the highly-anticipated kickoff to the 2024 campaign. The coach and signal-caller duo went 9-4 in 2022 which earned ACC Coach of the Year honors for Elko. The Blue Devils started the 2023 season 4-3, Leonard suffered a toe injury during a Week 8 loss at Louisville and he never played for Duke again.

With the College Football Playoff expanding to 12 teams this year, the much wider path to a national championship begins on the final day of August against Notre Dame.

NFL Week 1 odds: Chargers open as slight favorites over the Dolphins

The Chargers open as slight favorites for their Week 1 matchup against the Dolphins following the NFL’s schedule release.

The Chargers are out to prove that they’re better than their first-round playoff exit last season, and will open as slight favorites over the Dolphins in Week 1 of their 2023 campaign following the release of the team’s schedule.

DraftKings Sportsbook has Los Angeles as a 2.5-point favorite, which indicates that they expect the game to be fairly close between the rising AFC powerhouses.

Led by Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and the newest addition, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, the Dolphins won’t be an easy out for the Chargers and are expected to compete with the Bills for the AFC East crown in 2023.

Though it is too early to tell what either team’s 53-man roster might look like in early September, this matchup is set to be one of the more intriguing games on the schedule for Week 1.

The last time the two teams faced off this past season, the Chargers won in a close affair, 23-17.

What the experts are predicting: Gator Bowl

What’s your prediction for this game?

Notre Dame has a chance to end its season on a high note. However, the 2022 Gator Bowl might not be so easy without [autotag]Michael Mayer[/autotag] and with [autotag]Tyler Buchner[/autotag] trying to shake the rust of three-and-a-half months missed because of an injury. Hopefully, those issues will become minor once this game against South Carolina gets underway.

Let’s look at what some college football experts, including fellow College Wire sites, are predicting for this game:

Barry Sanders will make the 1st-ever bet at new Motor City Casino sportsbook

Detroit Lions legend Barry Sanders will make the 1st-ever bet at new Motor City Casino sportsbook

Sports gambling is now legal in Michigan. To kick off the in-person wagering at one of the three big casinos in Detroit, Lions legend Barry Sanders is making a special public appearance to get the sportsbook rolling.

Sanders will make the first-ever sports wager at the new FanDuel Sportsbook at Motor City Casino on Thursday when the facility opens for business. Sanders will also meet and greet fans inside the casino.

This comes one day after MGM Casino opened its own sportsbook with several former Detroit sports figures placing the honorary first bets. Other casinos around Michigan are expected to launch their own sportsbooks in the coming months now that sports wagering is legal in Michigan.
