Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Denver Broncos (2-5) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) play a Week 8 game Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London. Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET (ESPN+). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Broncos vs. Jaguars odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Broncos continue to struggle, going for 16 or fewer points in 6 of 7 outings this season. Denver ranks last in the NFL with just 14.3 points per game while checking in 23rd in total yards with 328.6 per game. The Broncos are also last in red-zone TD efficiency at 23.53%.

The Jaguars started out 2-1 straight up/against the spread (SU/ATS), including an impressive 38-10 road win as 6.5-point underdogs against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. That was Jacksonville’s last win as it has lost and failed to cover in each of its last 4 outings, although each setback has been in a 1-score game.

Broncos vs. Jaguars picks and predictions

Prediction

Jaguars 20, Broncos 16

Moneyline

JACKSONVILLE (-125) is a strong pick in what should be a low-scoring AFC battle. The Jaguars have the more consistent passing attack with QB Trevor Lawrence, which sounds ludicrous going against QB Russell Wilson. However, the latter has been banged up and he has struggled even when healthy.

Against the spread

The JAGUARS -1.5 (-110) are worth playing in this London game. The Jags made themselves at home in London last season, topping the Miami Dolphins 23-20 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They’re 4-3 SU in the past 7 trips over the pond and 4-2 ATS in their last 6 outings in the U.K.

The Broncos have been an absolute mess, and they might blow things up if they can’t pick up the win here. Avoid Denver until it shows more consistency on offense.

Over/Under

UNDER 40.5 (-105) is worth a look.

While totals of 40 or below are risky, it has been the rule with the Broncos. The Under is 6-1 for Denver, and in the games where the Under cashed, the Broncos and their opponent combined for just 26.7 points. Denver is great on defense and terrible on offense. It’s a great recipe for Unders.

New York Jets at Denver Broncos odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Jets at Denver Broncos odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Jets (4-2) and the Denver Broncos (2-4) meet Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Jets vs. Broncos odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The big news is that the Broncos announced Saturday that QB Russell Wilson will not play due to a lingering hamstring injury and backup Brett Rypien will get the start. The decision moved the line from Denver -1.5 to Denver +1.5.

The Broncos suffered their 2nd consecutive OT loss last week, and 3rd consecutive loss overall, falling 19-16 as 3.5-point underdogs on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers Monday. Denver has scored 16 or fewer points in 5 of 6 games, and it’s no surprise that the Under is also 5-1 in its 6 games overall.

The Jets have rattled off 3 consecutive victories after topping Green Bay 27-10 at Lambeau Field last weekend. New York is one win away from equaling its win total from last season, and its 3 road victories in 3 tries are more than the past two seasons combined (2-14).

Jets at Broncos picks and predictions

Prediction

Jets 22, Broncos 13

Moneyline

I liked the Jets here before the Wilson announcement, but they were underdogs then. Now they’re slight -125 favorites.

PASS and hammer the spread below.

Against the spread

NET YORK -1.5 (-115) is the play.

The Jets are the better team even if Wilson was playing for the Broncos. New York has been playing solid football on both sides of the ball.

Denver has been tremendous defensively, but the offense has looked inconsistent at best. With Rypien getting the start, don’t expect the offense to be any better.

Over/Under

Under 37.5 (-115) is the slight lean here, but my preference would be to PASS altogether.

Denver’s defense has been outstanding, and the Under is 5-1 in its 6 games. While the Under is 5-1, that’s on totals of 42 or higher. This is the lowest total of the season for the Broncos, and it could be too low.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers odds, picks and predictions

The Denver Broncos (2-3) head to SoFi Stadium in Week 6 to face the Los Angeles Chargers (3-2) on Monday Night Football (ESPN). Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Broncos vs. Chargers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Broncos fell at home in Week 5 to the Indianapolis Colts 12-9 in OT on Thursday Night Football, so they should be well-rested. QB Russell Wilson completed 21 of 39 passes for 279 yards with 2 picks, finishing with a dismal 15.9 QBR (quarterback rating). WR Courtland Sutton led Denver’s receivers with 5 receptions for 74 yards – thanks to a 51-yard completion. On defense, S Caden Sterns led the way with 2 INTs.

In the end, it was play-calling decisions that largely hurt Denver. Once throwing an INT on 3rd down in the red zone and another when failing to convert on 4th down in OT, which put Indy in a great position to win the game.

The Chargers won at the Cleveland Browns 30-28 in Week 5 – Browns K Cade York missed a 54-yard FG attempt with 11 seconds remaining which likely would have won it. Chargers QB Justin Herbert went 22 of 34 for 228 yards and a TD, but it was RB Austin Ekeler who stole the show. Ekeler ran for 173 yards and a TD on 16 carries. RB Joshua Kelley (10/49/1) also had a good day on the ground.

The LA offense went 2 of 5 on red-zone opportunities. In order to find success through the rest of the season, it must improve on that metric.

Broncos at Chargers picks and predictions

Prediction

Chargers 31, Broncos 13

Moneyline

PASS.

Los Angeles’ odds (-220) are risky because they do not present as much return, but the Chargers should handle business at home. With the Broncos’ Wilson coming off a shoulder operation earlier this week, expect another lethargic game from the Denver offense, while Herbert and the Chargers offense should move easily Monday night.

But I can’t justify suggesting a -220 favorite. Let’s focus on the spread below.

Against the spread

BET CHARGERS -4.5 (-112).

The Chargers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, while the Broncos are 1-4 in that same span. Plus, Denver is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games on the road.

Still looking for their groove with Wilson, the Broncos have a lot of questions to be answered before they can confidently be backed.

Over/Under

TAKE UNDER 45.5 (-108). With a slow-moving, run-heavy Denver offense, the O/U line will be carried by Los Angeles. Although Herbert and company are capable of putting up big numbers, the only way the Over will hit is if Denver is able to find the end zone which does not seem likely. The Under is 4-1 this season in 5 Broncos games.

Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

Indianapolis Colts (1-2-1) face the Denver Broncos (2-2) at Empower Field at Mile High Thursday. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Colts vs. Broncos odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

Week 5 is here and that’s long enough to make a semi-accurate analysis of teams. Both the Colts and Broncos have fallen short of their expectations.

The Colts lost 24-17 to the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. They’ve played each team in the AFC South and couldn’t pick up a single win. RB Jonathan Taylor was held to 42 rushing yards on 20 carries in the Week 4 defeat and suffered an ankle injury that will keep him sidelined Thursday.

The Broncos had a relatively easy schedule to start the season and yet sit 2-2, trailing the division-leading Kansas City Chiefs. Denver has put up 16, 16, 11 and 23 points to start the season. RB Javonte Williams has been ruled out for the season after suffering an ACL injury in Week 4.

Colts at Broncos picks and predictions

Prediction

Colts 21, Broncos 17

Moneyline

This game is a toss-up.

The Colts won’t have Taylor but RB Nyheim Hines is more than capable of handling the extra workload, and we don’t know if coach Nathaniel Hackett will sabotage his own team again in Denver.

I would AVOID.

Against the spread

Both the Colts and Broncos are 1-3 ATS putting them in the bottom 3rd of the NFL. However, 3.5-points is a large number in the NFL, especially with QB Russell Wilson unable to get the Broncos’ offense moving. Expect the Colts to keep things close or even pull off the upset.

LEAN COLTS +3.5 (-117).

Over/Under

The Colts have hit the Under in each of their games this year and in 9 straight games dating back to last season.

The Broncos went Under in 3 of their first 4 games. Denver’s defense is still formidable and scoring will be a tough task for Indianapolis.

BET UNDER 42.5 (-112).

Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Denver Broncos (2-1) and Las Vegas Raiders (0-3) play a Week 4 matchup Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Broncos vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson finished with just 184 passing yards and no TDs in an 11-10 win at home vs. the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. RB Melvin Gordon III made up for his 2 fumbles earlier in the game with a 1-yard TD run late in the 4th quarter to give the Broncos their first lead of the night. Denver has allowed just 36 points in its first 3 games.

Las Vegas remained winless after never leading in a 24-22 loss at the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. The Raiders are off to their worst start since 2018 when they started 0-3 and won their first game in Week 4 vs. the Cleveland Browns.

Las Vegas has closed as the money line favorite in its last 2 games.

Broncos at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 27, Broncos 17

Money line

BET RAIDERS (-135).

The Raiders are desperate for a win and have a great opportunity Sunday vs. a Broncos team that is a mess offensively. Denver coach Nathaniel Hackett and Wilson do not seem to be on the same page as the Broncos average just 14.3 points per game. The Raiders should get their first win of the season Sunday.

Against the spread

BET RAIDERS -2.5 (-115).

The Raiders should cover Sunday as the Broncos continue to struggle in the red zone. Denver is ranked No. 32 in red-zone offense, converting at just 14.3%. Las Vegas should have no problem outscoring Denver’s offense and winning by more than a field goal. Lay the points.

Over/Under

PASS.

The Under has hit in all 3 of the Broncos’ games this season, but they have faced 3 bottom-10 offenses. With Las Vegas motivated to get its first win, this should be the first real challenge that Denver’s defense has had to face.

I would lean Under, but I’m staying away from this total out of fear that Denver’s defense may get overwhelmed by an extra-focused Raiders offense.

San Francisco 49ers at Denver Broncos odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s San Francisco 49ers at Denver Broncos odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Francisco 49ers (1-1) are on the road in Week 3 to face the Denver Broncos (1-1) for a Sunday Night Football matchup between two familiar foes — QBs Jimmy Garoppolo and Russell Wilson. Kickoff from Empower Field at Mile High is set for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the 49ers vs. Broncos odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The 49ers bounced back from their season-opening loss to the Chicago Bears with a 27-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. They lost QB Trey Lance for the season with a broken ankle, so Garoppolo, who led the Niners to the NFC title game last season, returns to the starting lineup.

The Broncos lost17-16 to the Seahawks in Week 1. Denver had opportunities to win its opener but missed a potential game-winning 65-yard field goal and fumbled twice at the goal line. However, the Broncos bounced back in Week 2 as they defeated the Houston Texans 16-9. Their defense has held both opponents to under 260 yards of offense each week.

49ers at Broncos picks and predictions

Prediction

Broncos 20, 49ers 17

Money line

The Broncos may be missing a lot of players but Wilson is 16-4 in his career against the 49ers.

Neither team has allowed an opponent to record 260 yards of offense, so this may come down to which team avoids turning over the ball.

Garoppolo will give it up at least once and Wilson will lead a game-winning drive.

Take the BRONCOS (+102).

Against the spread

The Broncos have not yet covered the spread in either game this season. The 49ers are 1-1 ATS.

With a 1.5-point spread, you are basically picking the winner like on the money line.

Denver has had 2 close games but this is the week they finally break through to get the win.

Take the BRONCOS +1.5 (-108).

Over/Under

Neither team has had a game hit the Over so far. The 49ers have had games of 29 and 34 total points. The Broncos’ 2 games finished with 33 and 25 points.

Both teams have stingy defenses. The Broncos have not yet had the big offensive boost they were hoping for with Wilson under center.

Take UNDER 44.5 (-115).

Houston Texans at Denver Broncos odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Houston Texans at Denver Broncos odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Houston Texans (0-0-1) will hit the road to square off with the Denver Broncos (0-1) Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High in Week 2. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Texans vs. Broncos odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Texans were able to keep their Week 1 showdown with the Indianapolis Colts competitive with a 20-20 tie to begin the season. Houston is currently tied for the lead of the AFC South due to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans losing in Week 1.

The Broncos were upset by the Seattle Seahawks to opener their season in QB Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle. Denver had multiple opportunities to put away the game, but 2 goal-line fumbles and a head-scratching FG attempt in the late stages of the game were costly.

Texans at Broncos picks and predictions

Prediction

Broncos 31, Texans 17

Money line

I’ll go ahead and PASS on the money line in this game due to the Broncos having lopsided odds to win. Even though I expect Denver to take care of business at home, you won’t get much of anything in return if you take it to win straight up.

Against the spread

Take BRONCOS -10.5 (+100) in this game as I believe they should cruise to a victory at home. The offense of the Broncos looked solid in Week 1 despite fumbling the ball twice at the goal-line and new coach Nathaniel Hackett deciding to take the ball out of Wilson’s hands to end the game.

Denver is 4-0 ATS in its last 4 home games against a team with a losing record, and it’s 6-1 ATS in its last 7 Week 2 games.

Over/Under

All signs are pointing to the Under being the correct choice in this game. However, I’ll go with OVER 45.5 (-112) as I believe the Broncos capitalize on their scoring opportunities this week in their home opener.

Denver can score most of the points itself while Houston could score a couple of touchdowns late to help us hit the Over.

Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks Week 1 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks kick off the NFL’s Monday Night Football slate at Lumen Field. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN/ABC). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Broncos vs. Seahawks odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

This is one of the most anticipated matchups of Week 1 as Broncos QB Russell Wilson faces his former team. Wilson appeared in 14 games last season for the Seahawks and was 6-8 as their starter. QB Geno Smith started the other 3 games, going 1-2, en route to a 7-10 season.

Wilson will start anew with Denver as he’ll try to develop a rapport with WRs Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. The Broncos also went 7-10 in 2021 but that was with QBs Teddy Bridgewater (7-7 as starter) and Drew Lock (0-3) under center. Lock now plays for Seattle, though Smith has been named the team’s starting QB, and Bridgewater is a backup with the Miami Dolphins.

Broncos at Seahawks picks and predictions

Prediction

Broncos 27, Seahawks 10

Money line

It’s safe to PASS on this money line wager.

Even with Denver being the rightful favorite, the NFL’s parity is too strong to consider putting down such a high amount of money for such a low return. Your money is better spent elsewhere unless you include Broncos (-280) in a parlay or round robin with a much higher return.

Against the spread

The BRONCOS -6.5 (-108) are the easy pick even with such a large betting line. Denver was already a strong team without Wilson last season, so the addition of the Super Bowl XLVIII champion should push their offense from below average in 2021 to, at the very least, above average in 2022.

The strongest point for Denver is its defense, which added LB Randy Gregory during free agency to rush the passer opposite LB Bradley Chubb. Those two lead the charge for what appears to be one of the NFL’s most talented defensive groups. That unit can easily hold down Smith who has a tough track record as an NFL starter (13-21 overall). Not to mention Seattle could be missing its starting left guard and possibly two defensive contributors for this matchup.

Over/Under

Play UNDER 43.5 (-108) lightly, as this one probably won’t be a high-scoring affair. The Broncos can contain Seattle’s offense which should lead to Denver getting out ahead early on. Once Denver has the lead, I’d expect a heavy running game load for RBs Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon as they try to drain the clock.

Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Buffalo Bills (1-0) welcome the Denver Broncos (1-0) to Highmark Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET (NFL Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Broncos vs. Bills odds, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Both teams enter this battle with ultra-high expectations this season. The Broncos added star QB Russell Wilson this offseason. Wilson didn’t play in the team’s Week 1 preseason home win over the Cowboys.

The Broncos won 17-7 with QB Josh Johnson doing most of the heavy lifting, going 16-for-23 for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. I would expect at least some showing from starting receivers and rushers against Buffalo.

The Bills, on the other hand, won 27-24 at against the visiting Colts in one of the more thrilling Week 1 games. Superstar QB Josh Allen was never going to see the field, and the Bills actually won despite a combined 3 interceptions by their quarterbacks.

QB Matt Barkley was 18-for-24 for 224 yards and 1 interception, while projected backup QB Case Keenum was 11-for-18 for 86 yards and 2 picks. I’d expect see some Allen in this matchup.

Broncos at Bills picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 21, Broncos 17

Money line

PASS.

There’s not much value here either way, especially for Buffalo. I wouldn’t bet a -320 preseason favorite.

Against the spread

BET BRONCOS +6.5 (-103).

The Broncos looked strong on both ends of the field against the Cowboys, and Johnson was fantastic.

Given he should be going against a Bills secondary that doesn’t play its terrific safety duo much, Johnson should be able to see similar success. At almost a touchdown, the value here is on Denver to cover.

The Bills looked awful despite winning their opener. Their quarterbacks threw 3 interceptions, and with Allen not set to play too much, I expect another tough outing for Buffalo.

Backup RB Zack Moss did play, but I would expect the starters to get limit reps Saturday. The Broncos looked stronger in their opener, and I’d back them here.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 42.5 (-112).

The quarterback play in the Bills-Colts game was horrific, which often helps points being scored.

I don’t expect that to continue, and while Buffalo should have one of the top high-powered offenses in the league, it could certainly struggle without Allen.

Buffalo had a fumble return and two 4th-quarter touchdowns against Indy. For 3 quarters, its offense did nothing, and that’s concerning.

With the Broncos also unlikely to play many starters and Johnson having not found a true NFL home given he’s a mid-level backup, they may struggle as well.

Overall, the UNDER 42.5 (-112) feels like the better play.

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos face off in their preseason opener Saturday night. Kickoff is at 9 p.m. ET at Empower Field at Mile High and the game will air on NFL Network. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Cowboys vs. Broncos odds, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Cowboys went 12-5 in the regular season in 2021 and won the NFC East, but lost their 1st-round playoff matchup to the San Francisco 49ers. They come back in 2022 as the favorites to win the East again with Dak Prescott at quarterback but without WR Amari Cooper, whom they traded to the Cleveland Browns.

Denver went 7-10 and missed the postseason, but has high hopes in 2022 in  the AFC West after acquiring Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks.

Cowboys at Broncos and predictions

Prediction

Cowboys 23, Broncos 20

Money line

The Cowboys went 0-4 in last year’s preseason. The Broncos went 3-0. The Cowboys were a playoff team and the Broncos were not.

That doesn’t mean anything now.

Preseason contests are truly tossups. Players who barely make teams and players who don’t end up on NFL roster are on the field when games are decided in the preseason.

So when it comes to the best bet, go with the value. Take the COWBOYS (+140).

Against the spread

The Cowboys lost 3 of 4 last preseason by 6 or more points. The Broncos won all 3 of their games in the preseason by at least 5 points.

However, because of the volatility in preseason contests, I stay far from the spread. PASS.

Over/Under

Three of the Cowboys’ 4 preseason games last year had at least 34 points.

The Broncos scored 30 or more twice last preseason.
