Georgia in top schools for 4-star Darren Ikinnagbon

The Georgia Bulldogs are in the top schools for four-star New Jersey pass rusher Darren Ikinnagbon

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top schools for four-star edge rusher Darren Ikinnagbon. The four-star pass rusher plays high school football for Hillside High School in Hillside, New Jersey.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound pass rusher is one of the best players at his position in the class of 2025. Ikinnagbon’s top eight schools are Georgia, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Oklahoma, Duke, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Penn State.

The Hillside star is ranked as the nation’s No. 334 recruit and the No. 24 edge rusher. Darren Ikinnagbon is the No. 11 player in New Jersey, per 247Sports.

Georgia lost defensive backs coach Fran Brown, who is now the head coach at Syracuse. Brown was Georgia’s best recruiter in the Northeast, so it is good to see that the Bulldogs are still competitive at recruiting in that region of the country following Brown’s departure.

Georgia football currently has commitments from five recruits in the class of 2025. Ikinnagbon visited Georgia the first weekend of Feb. 2024.

New Jersey 2025 defensive end has Ohio State football in top group

The Buckeyes are still in it for the underrated defensive end

Ohio State football has one of the best early classes in the 2025 recruiting cycle and it is looking to add onto its current total of eight commits.

One of those targets is New Jersey defensive end, [autotag]Darren Ikinnagbon[/autotag], a 6-foot, 5-inch, 251-pound pass rusher. With numerous top programs after his commitment, the defender narrowed his list down to eight schools on Wednesday evening, with Ohio State still in the mix.

Ikinnagbon is still also considering Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Duke, Tennessee, and Penn State. The list is a bit eclectic, due to having the Scarlet Knights and Blue Devils on there, but it tells everyone that academics will most likely play a part in his decision.

Ikinnagbon is ranked as the No. 26 edge and 334th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. With that kind of offer list, he may be a bit underrated at the moment.

Notre Dame makes top 8 for impressive New Jersey defensive end

The Irish could land another player from New Jersey in 2025

Notre Dame football has an early start in its 2025 recruiting class, it’s so good that it currently is the top group according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.

In order to remain at the top of the list, the Irish will need to continue to add more talented players to the current 15 commits. One of those targets is New Jersey defensive end [autotag]Darren Ikinnagbon[/autotag]. The 6-foot, 5-inch and 251-pound edge rusher narrowed his list down to eight schools on Wednesday evening, with Notre Dame making the cut.

It should be noted that with the inclusion of Rutgers and Duke on Ikinnabon’s list, academics will play a big part into his decision. That’s great news for the Irish, as they have one of the best mixes, if not the best, of athletics and academics in the country.

Ikinnagbon is ranked as the No. 26 edge rusher and 334th overall prospect in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
