Georgia signs 3-star TE Colton Heinrich

Georgia signs 3-star TE Colton Heinrich

The Georgia Bulldogs have added another tight end to the mix with Colton Heinrich. The three-star tight end from Coral Springs, Fla., adds to the Bulldogs’ No. 1 recruiting class. He’s the second tight end in the recruiting class next to Jaden Reddell.

Heinrich has been committed to the Bulldogs since May and was one of the first Bulldogs to sign his letter of intent.

Heinrich went to high school at Cardinal Gibbons high school and was their leading target. He caught 36 passes that went for 464 yards and three touchdowns.

Similar to Reddell, Heinrich has lined up in several positions that aren’t just at tight end. He’s done good work as a blocker, but can clearly improve with college coaching.

The 6-foot-3 tight end has been under the radar in his ranking, but he had offers from schools like Alabama and Auburn as well. He adds to the tight end room that will feature Oscar Delp, Lawson Luckie and Jaden Reddell.

Ohio State misses out on 2024 tight end target who commits to SEC program

The search for a second tight end continues

It looked like [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] was going to have a real shot at Florida tight end [autotag]Colton Heinrich[/autotag].

An official visit to Columbus had been set for just a few weeks but after today’s news, it most likely will not be happening as Heinrich announced his commitment to Georgia.

Of his four set official visits, the Bulldogs were one of them but the 6-foot, 4-inch and 230 pound tight end had seen enough and decided that he didn’t need to take any of those trips. Heinrich is the 31st tight end and 631st overall player in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports composite.

Currently, Ohio State has a tight end commit in Tennessee’s Max LeBlanc but is looking for a second. The search will continue for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State offers tight end while on visit to campus

The Florida tight end impressed the Buckeye staff enough for an offer #GoBucks

If you didn’t know, Saturday was student appreciation day for the [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] football team. Head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] not only uses this day to give the students an up close look at the Buckeyes, but also as a recruiting opportunity.

For Florida tight end [autotag]Colton Heinrich[/autotag], it has turned into an exciting trip. The 2024 prospect was offered a scholarship, adding to an already impressive list. The 6-foot, 4-inch and 230 pound player already held offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU and now Ohio State.

Although Heinrich is ranked as just the No  27 tight end and 650th overall player by the 247Sports composite, his offer list shows that he is severely under ranked at the moment.

Tight end target Colton Heinrich: Auburn ‘felt like one big family’

Colton Heinrich visited Auburn for the first time and had great things to say about his time on the Plains.

Three-star tight end prospect [autotag]Colton Heinrich[/autotag] made his first visit to Auburn on Friday and it is safe to say it left an impression on the Fort Lauderdale, Florida product.

He told Jason Caldwell of Auburn Undercover that the atmosphere at Auburn really stood out.

“I would say the people in the facility,” Heinrich told Caldwell. “I felt very welcome here. I really liked all of the coaches. Very welcoming, very friendly. The atmosphere of the kids in the team room, it felt like one big family and that’s something that stood out.”

The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder has over 30 scholarship offers with Auburn, Florida, Miami, and Tennessee in hot pursuit.

He is the No. 614 overall player and No. 25 tight end in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 86 player from Florida.

Auburn did not sign a high school tight end last year so the 2024 class will be [autotag]Ben Aigamaua’s [/autotag] first chance to bring a high school target to the Plains and Heinrich thinks he can be that player.

“They want me,” Heinrich said. “They want to see me in Auburn colors. They want to get me back up here for an OV. As of now, I think so (it’s a possibility).”

Alabama offers 2024 TE Colton Heinrich

The Tide recently offered a 6-foot-4 tight end from the Sunshine state.

Alabama continues to extend offers to high school prospects across the country. Most recently, the Tide offered 2024 tight end, Colton Heinrich.

Heinrich is a big-bodied tight end at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds. As a junior, he hauled in 36 receptions for 464 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Heinrich’s ability to create separation in the secondary and block at the line of scrimmage stands out in his highlight reel.

The good thing for Alabama is that the tight-end room is relatively young. The most experienced tight ends heading into next season will be Maryland transfer CJ Dippre and Robbie Ouzts. The two of them will be juniors. Heinrich could see some early playing time as a blocking tight end if he elected to play for the Tide.
