Browns place OG Michael Dunn on Injured Reserve with calf injury

He started on Sunday and hits IR on Tuesday.

The Cleveland Browns will enter Week 7 with one less offensive lineman on their active roster. Despite starting in the win over the San Francisco 49ers in place of the injured Joel Bitonio, offensive guard Michael Dunn has now been placed on Injured Reserve with a calf injury.

While Bitonio is expected back this week as the Browns travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts, the Browns will need a new backup in case his knee does not hold up after getting it scoped during the bye week. Both James Hudson III and rookie Luke Wypler have some experience playing guard with the Browns. Hopefully it does not come to that, but it will be interesting to see who would be designated as Bitonio’s backup from here on out.

This means, however, the Browns now have one more roster spot open, and there is a reason to believe that could be for quarterback P.J. Walker, who is not on the active roster as of yet.

Browns could be without Denzel Ward, Jack Conklin vs. Steelers

The Browns have the status of two starters up in the air this week against the Steelers

The Cleveland Browns got a great output from Denzel Ward against the Washington Commanders. On the day, Ward was targeted just once, coming away with an interception off of quarterback Carson Wentz. The Browns, however, may now be without him as they close the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ward is not the only starter who enters the final week banged up as right tackle Jack Conklin also has his status up in the air as well.

Fresh off of an extension and a season full of health, this is the last thing the Browns and Conklin want to see. Can they both suit up to end the season on a high note? Keep your eyes peeled for the weekly injury reports.

Browns Injury Alert: Jadeveon Clowney heads to locker room early vs. Ravens

The Browns may be down a starting pass rusher as Jadeveon Clowney went to the locker room for an early halftime

As the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens take the game into halftime, one member of the defense got a head start as defensive end Jadeveon Clowney went into the locker room. It has been determined that Clowney is being evaluated for a head injury. There has been no announcement if he will be able to return in this one.

If Clowney cannot return, expect a lot of Alex Wright and Chase Winovich opposite of Myles Garrett the rest of the way out. This has unfortunately been a theme of Clowney’s time in Cleveland and career as he has struggled to avoid the injury bug.

Fears are confirmed, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is out for season

Make it four linebackers to suffer season-ending injuries this season for the Browns.

After losing linebacker Sione Takitaki for the season just a week ago, the Cleveland Browns have lost their fourth starting linebacker to a season-ending injury. After suffering a foot injury in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, starting WILL linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has now been placed on Injured Reserve. Given that there are just four weeks left in the season, Owusu-Koramoah will be out for the remainder of 2022.

With a true next-man-up mentality, look for second-year linebacker Tony Fields II to step into the starting WILL role after only playing there in base defense this past week. What a season to forget for this linebacker room. Keep your eyes peeled for who the Browns fill their open roster spot with.

Browns could lose fourth linebacker to injury this season as Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah deals with foot injury

The Browns could be down their fourth starting linebacker in 2022

The Cleveland Browns have been decimated by injuries at the linebacker position this season. After already losing three starters for the season in Anthony Walker Jr., Jacob Phillips, and Sione Takitaki, they could now be on the verge of losing a fourth. Injuring his foot in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend, WILL linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and the Browns are waiting on test results to see just how bad the damage is.

For a defensive unit in need of salvaging this off-season as it is, this is less than stellar news for one of their few consistent contributors in 2022.

Browns’ top receiver listed as questionable vs. Bengals with a hip injury

The only player with an injury designation against the Bengals is a big one.

As the Cleveland Browns look to make it three-in-a-row as they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals this weekend, the status of one of their top playmakers remains up in the air. Missing practice on Friday with a hip injury, wide receiver Amari Cooper has officially been listed as questionable against the Bengals.

Claiming wide receiver Jaelon Darden after his release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Browns may have to rely on him more than anticipated in his first week. To soften the potential blow, the Browns will see tight end David Njoku return, and still have Donovan Peoples-Jones who continues to make plays.

Wyatt Teller missed baby shower to stay in Cleveland and rehab calf

The Browns have their right guard back this week in Wyatt Teller, but it did not come without sacrifice.

Right guard Wyatt Teller wants to get back on the field with his teammates and for the Cleveland Browns. He even spent the bye weekend in Cleveland while his wife traveled to Virginia for their baby shower. Teller stated, “It was a tough decision but I want to play football again.”

Teller has not given a timeframe for his return, but he is hoping to play this week when the Browns travel to South Beach and take on the Miami Dolphins. Both he and cornerback Denzel Ward returned to the practice field for the Browns today as the Browns look to stack two wins in a row.

Denzel Ward, Wyatt Teller return to practice with Dolphins up next

The Browns are getting a big boost as the Dolphins near as Denzel Ward and Wyatt Teller have returned to practice.

As the Cleveland Brown try to continue to pull their season out of the hole they dug, they get a big boost in practice today. With the Miami Dolphins next on their schedule, the Browns get two starters in cornerback Denzel Ward and guard Wyatt Teller back at practice.

Ward has missed the past three games, four weeks total including the bye week, with a concussion suffered against the Los Angeles Chargers. Teller suffered a calf injury against the New England Patriots and has missed the past two games. The Browns also designated running back Jerome Ford and defensive end Chase Winovich for return as well today.

Browns rule out Wyatt Teller, Denzel Ward vs. Ravens

The Browns will be without three starters against the Ravens

As the Cleveland Browns look to get back on track against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, they will be without three starters as guard Wyatt Teller and cornerback Denzel Ward have been ruled out. Reserve offensive lineman Joe Haeg has also been ruled out with a concussion as well.

Cornerbacks Martin Emerson and Greedy Williams will once again fill in for Ward and Hjalte Froholdt will fill in for Teller at right guard. Defensive ends Jadeveon Clowney and Isaac Rochell has also been listed as questionable.

It looks, however, like the Browns will get linebacker Deion Jones back to make his debut in the brown and orange. After two full weeks of practice, the coaching staff is optimistic about his communication style and ability to contribute early on.

Browns guard Wyatt Teller in walking boot after leaving game vs. Patriots

After leaving the game against the Patriots, Wyatt Teller is now in a walking boot

It is only Wednesday so there is no need to panic just yet, but according to Cleveland dot com’s Mary Kay Cabot, starting right guard Wyatt Teller is in a walking boot after injuring his left calf against the New England Patriots. This is less than ideal news for the Cleveland Browns as they enter a two-week stretch against AFC North opponents.

Getting an idea of where Teller is tomorrow and Friday on the injury reports will give a clearer picture of his status for Sunday’s showdown against the Baltimore Ravens. In his relief, Hjalte Froholdt played the majority of the game at right guard for the Browns and faired quite well against the Patriots. While hoping for Teller, it is nice to know the Browns continue to have a stable of offensive line depth who can step in if called upon.
