It is shaping up to be bye week 2.0 this week…

The Cleveland Browns are coming off of their bye week as they get set to take on the San Francisco 49ers, but they are trending toward a second bye week as quarterback Deshaun Watson is not going to play in this Week 6 matchup. Offensive guard Joel Bitonio has not missed a game in 102 straight showings, but that streak is seriously in doubt as he has yet to practice this week as well.

All in all, four starters did not practice for the Browns on Thursday with just one practice left before they take on the 5-0 49ers at home. The 49ers on the other end of the spectrum, however, enter this matchup as healthy as they could have wished for as they have just three players listed on their injury report.

Here is the full injury report for the Browns, including players who did not practice and those who were limited in practice on Thursday.

Browns Injury Report: David Bell listed as questionable, Amari Cooper is good to go

Only one player gets a gameday injury designation this week.

The Cleveland Browns will enter their matchup against the Baltimore Ravens with a good deal of health as only rookie wide receiver David Bell was given an injury designation; he is listed as questionable with both a thumb and toe injury. While he continues to battle a hip injury, wide receiver Amari Cooper is set to give it his all the rest of the way out.

On the flip side, the Ravens will be without quarterback Lamar Jackson as Tyler Huntley will make the start at FirstEnergy Stadium. The Ravens also listed three others as questionable as right tackle Morgan Moses, punter Jordan Stout, and former Browns’ guard Kevin Zeitler all battle through injuries.

Also not listed, linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is also set to return after missing the past two games.

David Njoku questionable but says he’s ‘good to go’ vs. Bills

Missing the past two games with a high ankle sprain, David Njoku is set to return for the Browns vs. Bills.

While he is listed as questionable, breakout tight end David Njoku has stated he is “good to go” as the Cleveland Browns get set to take on the Buffalo Bills in Detroit this Sunday. Njoku returned to practice on Thursday, looked good getting in and out of breaks on his routes, and now feels confident he will suit up against the Bills.

This news comes as the Browns lose cornerback Greg Newsome to a concussion, so injuries taketh and injuries give. Luckily for the Browns, the Bills will also be without three defensive starters.

As the Browns look to steal one from the Bills, getting their tight end who was on pace for 1,000 yards back is a massive boost.

Browns missing 5 from Thursday’s practice with Bills up next

As the Browns and Bills get set to face off in Detroit, Cleveland had five players missing from practice.

As the Cleveland Browns prepare to travel to Detroit for their matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to weather in New York, they are getting healthy at the right time. Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah returned to practice yesterday, and now tight end David Njoku practiced today. The Browns, however, were missing five from practice today.

Defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey missed practice with a head injury, and Michael Dunn and D’Anthony Bell both missed their second straight practice. Defensive tackle Jordan Elliott was dismissed from practice for a personal reason, and right tackle Jack Conklin was given his usual day of rest.

All things considered, the Browns are entering this matchup at near-full health as backups are the only ones out with injuries. The same cannot be said for the Bills who are still missing two starting defensive linemen, a starting linebacker, and a rotational receiver, and are still limiting quarterback Josh Allen.
