The Brooklyn Nets (2-3) welcome the Chicago Bulls (3-2) to Barclays Center Friday for an Eastern Conference clash. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Bulls vs. Nets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Nets won all 3 games in 2023-24

The Nets beat the Memphis Grizzlies on the road 119-106 Wednesday, closing as an 11.5-point underdog. They have won 2 of their last 3 games after starting the season with back-to-back road losses to the Atlanta Hawks and the Orlando Magic. Brooklyn is 1-1 straight up at home and 2-0 against the spread (ATS). It is 4-1 ATS on the season. The Nets are led by G Cam Thomas, who is averaging 27.4 points per game (PPG).

The Bulls have rattled off 2 straight wins, the last a 102-99 win over the Orlando Magic Wednesday as a 5.5-point home underdog. Chicago is 3-1 straight-up and ATS over its last 4 games. It is 2-1 ATS on the road. G Zach LaVine is averaging 23 PPG and shooting a career-high 51.3% from the field.

Bulls at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 116, Nets 113

Moneyline

BET BULLS (+100).

Both teams have been playing well over their last few games and both have wins over the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks. However, the Bulls offense is more reliable, and Chicago has been playing well on the road.

The Bulls have won 2 straight road games and have their top 2 scorers shooting at least 50% from the field. Only one of Brooklyn’s top 3 scorers is at that percentage, and those are the only 3 averaging over 12 PPG.

Take Chicago as it is the more efficient offense and has competed well away from home. Back BULLS (+100).

Against the spread

PASS.

Given the small size of the spread and the way the Bulls have been playing  on the road, look toward the moneyline for the value here and avoid an ATS play.

Over/Under

BET OVER 225.5 (-110).

Both teams have been surging offensively and have capable weapons to keep that alive. Brooklyn has gone Over in 3 of its 5 games and has scored at least 115 points in 3 straight. The Nets are 1-1 O/U at home.

Chicago is 3-2 O/U as well and has hit 126 points twice its last 4 games. It has had defensive problems, allowing at least 122 points in all 3 road games. Considering those trends, take OVER 225.5 (-110).

Orlando Magic at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Orlando Magic at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Chicago Bulls (2-2) welcome the Orlando Magic (3-1) to United Center Wednesday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Magic vs. Bulls odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Magic went 4-0 in 2023-24

The Magic beat the Indiana Pacers 119-115 Monday, closing as a 5.5-point home favorite. After covering their first 2 games, winning both by at least 15 points, the Magic have failed to cover 2 in a row, including their first loss, a 124-111 road defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. The Magic have performed well behind former No. 1 overall pick F Paolo Banchero, who is averaging 28.5 points per game (PPG) and scored 50 points Monday.

The Bulls beat the Grizzlies 126-123 Monday, closing as a 5-point road underdog in that battle. Chicago G Zach LaVine stayed hot, scoring 30 points on 12-of-22 shooting. The Bulls have traded off winning and losing over their 4 games, starting with a 123-111 road loss to open the season at the New Orleans Pelicans. Chicago is 2-2 against the spread (ATS) and is led by LaVine, who is averaging 26 PPG.

Magic at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Magic 118, Bulls 111

Moneyline

PASS.

The Magic have shown energy and discipline so far this season, and their young stars are starting to shine. Expect that to continue, but at this moneyline value, avoid playing them to win outright.

Similarly, the Bulls have been too inconsistent to back here.

Against the spread

BET MAGIC -6.5 (-105).

Orlando has been exceptional to start the season, having scored at least 111 points in all 4 games and holding opponents to 101 or fewer points in 2 of its 4 games. The Magic have been surprisingly efficient offensively as well with 3 of their top-4 scoring options shooting 48% or better from the field.

Just 2 of the Bulls’ top 4 scorers can say they have eclipsed that percentage. Chicago has also disappointed after every win and struggled in its lone home match, dropping that game 114-95 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Bulls’ offense has seen highs and lows, but their defense has only seen the latter, having allowed 122 points or more in 3 games.

Considering those pertinent issues, take the away side and back MAGIC -6.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BET  OVER 227.5 (-115).

Both teams have consistently gone Over the projected total this season, and there’s no reason to think those trends won’t continue Wednesday. The Bulls are 3-1 O/U and have scored at least 110 in 3 of 4 games and topped 126 points twice. Their defense has been a bigger issue as noted above.

The Magic, who have been efficient offensively, have also allowed at least 115 points in 2 straight games. Orlando’s efficiency against a lacking defense should maintain its dominant offensive performance. It is 4-0 O/U on the season.

That said, expect a high-scoring battle and take OVER 227.5 (-115).

Oklahoma City Thunder at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma City Thunder at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Chicago Bulls (1-1) welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder (1-0) to United Center Saturday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Thunder vs. Bulls odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting. Thunder won 2-0 last year.

The Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets 102-87 Thursday in their first action of the season, closing as a 2-point road underdog. MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with 28 points and 8 assists. Oklahoma City, a team with championship aspirations, won 3 of 4 preseason games and was 2-2 against the spread (ATS) in those.

The Bulls opened the season up with a 123-111 road loss to the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday, closing as a 5-point road underdog. They then took on the Milwaukee Bucks and won 133-122, closing as a 9.5-point road underdog. G Zach LaVine has been the star of the show so far, scoring 26 points per game and shooting 59.4% from the field. The Bulls were 3-2 and 4-1 ATS in their 5 preseason games.

Thunder at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 124, Bulls 116

Moneyline

PASS.

The Thunder are among the best teams in the NBA and beat the Nuggets despite shooting 22% from deep and taking just 12 free throw attempts. Expect them to improve upon those numbers and come out on top in their 2nd game of the season, but at this expensive price, avoid playing them to win outright.

Against the spread

BET BULLS +9.5 (-105).

The Bulls have a lineup that should produce at a more efficient rate than many expect. They have players that can distribute, score and rebound, and that should help them keep pace with the Thunder. This will also be Chicago’s first home game after beating one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, so it should be electric at the United Center.

The Bulls scored 132 points per game in their final 2 preseason games, both at home, and dropped 133 points Friday, so they are coming off a strong performance as well. Expect them to keep playing at a high level and back BULLS +9.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BET OVER 231.5 (-110).

The Bulls have gone Over in both games this season, topping 110 points in each. In both games, both teams have scored 110 or more, so they can score well and also have a lousy defense, allowing 122.5 points per game.

The Thunder went Under against the Nuggets, but Denver was a team that played at the 5th-slowest pace in the NBA. The new additions, like G Josh Giddey, for Chicago should push the pace, and the young OKC side should match that speed.

Expect a high-scoring battle and take OVER 231.5 (-110).

Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Milwaukee Bucks (1-0) welcome the Chicago Bulls (0-1) to Fiserv Forum Friday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Bulls vs. Bucks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Bucks won 3-1 last season

The Bucks kicked off their season Wednesday with a 124-109 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Milwaukee covered as a 4-point road favorite. G Damian Lillard led the way with 30 points and drained 6 triples. The Bucks ended up shooting 54% from the field with just 14 turnovers. Milwaukee was just 1-3 in the preseason, as well as 0-4 against the spread (ATS) and 0-4 O/U. This will be its first home game of the season.

The Bulls went 3-2 in the preseason and were 4-1 ATS. They were 4-1 O/U. Chicago opened its season with a 123-111 defeat at the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday. It took a 1-point margin into halftime and entered the 4th quarter down 12. The Bulls were led by G Zach LaVine, who dropped 27 points and shot 10 for 17 from the field.

Bulls at Bucks odds

Bulls at Bucks picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 120, Bulls 108

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no reason to take the moneyline here. Fiserv Forum will be rocking Friday, and the Bucks (-400) should be able to come out on top. Yet, they are far too expensive to take here.

Against the spread

BET BUCKS -9.5 (-110).

The Bucks got just 25 points from their 2-time league MVP Antetokounmpo Wednesday, and he even went just 9 of 16 from the free-throw line. Milwaukee’s crowd should be rocking, and it showed its prowess against a solid 76ers side to open the season. The Bucks shot 54% from the field and 43% from deep.

The Bulls shot just 29% on the road to open the season and had 21 turnovers. This should be a similar game for Chicago, especially given the Bucks are a better team than New Orleans. With this still below a double-digit spread, back BUCKS -9.5 (-110), as they have the more efficient offense and should put on a show at home.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 233.5 (-110).

The Bucks held the 76ers to 109 points in their season-opening game, and Philadelphia has a capable offense with several scoring guards, much like Chicago.

Similarly, the Bulls scored just 111 in their first game of the season and had numerous turnovers. They may struggle against a longer and larger Milwaukee defense. The teams were a combined 4-5 O/U in the preseason.

Given this lofty total and the Bulls’ unstable offense, take UNDER 233.5 (-110).

Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Chicago Bulls travel to face the New Orleans Pelicans to open their 2024-25 season Wednesday. Tip-off from Smoothie King Center is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Bulls vs. Pelicans odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Pelicans won 2-0 last season

Chicago clearly is headed towards rebuild mode after losing both G Alex Caruso and F DeMar DeRozan in the offseason. Fans in the Windy City still have a few things to be excited about with the long-awaited return of G Lonzo Ball from injury and the continued development of G Coby White.

New Orleans had an eventful offseason, losing C Jonas Valanciunas and trading for G Dejounte Murray. The Pelicans have a lot of experimenting to do with their current roster to see how, or if, pieces like F Brandon Ingram and G CJ McCollum will fit with this roster. NOLA will also be seeing if Zion Williamson can play real minutes as the full-time center.

Bulls at Pelicans picks and predictions

Prediction

Pelicans 118, Bulls 110

Moneyline

PASS.

The Pelicans are the much better team, but they are not worth the risk of betting on as -275 favorites, so I recommend betting on the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

LEAN PELICANS -6.5 (-110).

The Pelicans got better this offseason, and with their perimeter defense likely being even better with the addition of Murray, they are a safe bet to cover here. On the other hand, the Bulls got much worse this offseason, and they simply will not have enough to cover here vs. a healthy New Orleans team.

This is a lean because of the potential missing players for New Orleans, but if even 2 of those 3 questionable players suit up, then expect for the Pelicans to cover here.

Over/Under

BET OVER 225.5 (-110).

Chicago’s defense got much worse with the loss of Caruso, whereas New Orleans got better on both sides of the ball and will be able to put up points at will on the Bulls.

The Over has also hit in 8 of the last 10 matchups between these squads, also being 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in New Orleans.

The only worry with this bet is whether or not Chicago’s offense will be good enough to help this game hit the Over.

NBA Play-In Tournament: Chicago Bulls at Miami Heat odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Chicago Bulls at Miami Heat odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Chicago Bulls (40-43) meet the Miami Heat (46-37) in an NBA Eastern Conference Play-In Game. Tip-off at Kaseya Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Bulls vs. Heat odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The winner will earn the 8th seed in the East and will face top-seeded Boston in a best-of-7 1st-round series, while the loser will head home for the offseason.

Season series: Tied 2-2

These teams not only split their 4-game regular-season series, but Chicago and Miami each won one on the other’s home court. However, the Bulls hold a 3-1 against-the-spread (ATS) edge in the 4 games. Plus, Chicago has a healthy 6-2 ATS mark in the previous 8 head-to-head meetings, going 3-1 ATS last season, too.

The Over has cashed in each of the past 3 meetings in the series, including both battles in South Florida.

The big news for Miami is on the injury front, as leading scorer F Jimmy Butler (knee) is out indefinitely. Butler was injured in Wednesday’s 105-104 play-in game loss at Philadelphia. He played the final 3 quarters after suffering a knee injury and finished with 19 points. After an MRI Thursday, it was determined he has an injury to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee and he is expected to miss several weeks.

Chicago won 131-116 in its play-in game vs. the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday, cashing as a 3-point favorite as the Over (223) easily connected. The Over has hit in 5 straight games for the Bulls.

Bulls at Heat picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 107, Heat 105

Moneyline

The BULLS (+105) are worth a look as short underdogs on the road. First off, Chicago has already won in Miami this season, and the Heat are in a world of hurt after losing Jimmy Buckets to the knee injury.

Chicago looked awfully good taking care of Atlanta at home in the play-in game Wednesday, and the Bulls have won 3 of the past 4 outings.

Against the spread

There isn’t a ton of reason to back the Bulls +2.5 (-115) catching the points, unless you’re absolutely adamant that the Heat will win, but only by 2 points.

Chicago enters on a 4-0 ATS streak, and it has covered 6 of the past 8 meetings against Miami.

PASS.

Over/Under

OVER 205.5 (-110) is a strong play, even if Miami is missing Butler, who tied with G Tyler Herro as the team’s leading scorer at 20.8 points per game.

Miami still has plenty of players like Herro, C Bam Adebayo (19.3 PPG, 10.4 RPB) and F Duncan Robinson (12.9 PPG) to get the job done offensively. The Heat cashed the Over (208.5) against the 76ers Wednesday but just barely — by a hook (a half point). The Over has hit in 3 straight, and 11 of the past 12 games for the Heat since March 29.

For Chicago, the Over (223) was never in question Wednesday against Atlanta, and the total has gone high in 5 straight outings. The Bulls are good for 117 or more points in each game, and 127 or more points in 3 of the past 4, while conceding 116 or more points across 4 of the past 5 contests.

Season series: Tied 1-1

G Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 43 points, and C Isaiah Hartenstein had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Knicks players scored in double figures, and the team shot 48.9% from the field and 48.3% from 3 in the win.

Knicks at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 114, Bulls 106

Moneyline

PASS.

The Knicks (-190) spread presents a better chance at profit.

Against the spread

BET KNICKS -4.5 (-110).

New York has covered the spread in 6 of its last 9 games and is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 as a favorite. The Knicks are 41-34-3 ATS this season and face a Chicago team that is just 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall and has failed to cover in 4 of its last 6 at home. With Brunson leading the way, the Knicks will win decisively Tuesday night.

Bulls at Magic picks and predictions

Prediction

Magic 111, Bulls 107

Moneyline

PASS.

There is no value on the Magic (-300), who have won 3 of their last 4 games, to beat a Chicago squad that is dealing with injuries and is 3-5 in its last 8.

Against the spread

BET BULLS +7.5 (-115).

Chicago has covered the spread in 2 of its last 3 games at home, including each of its last 2 as an underdog.

Orlando has failed to covered in 2 of its last 3 games and 5 of its last 7. It is coming off a tough loss against a Charlotte team that has performed poorly this season (19-58 straight up).

Over/Under

BET OVER 210.5 (-110).

Chicago has scored 108 or more points in 3 of its last 4 games and 8 of its last 10. It has allowed 107 or more points in 6 of its last 9.

Orlando has hit the Over in each of its last 2 games and scored 115 or more points in 3 of its last 4. It has scored 107 or more points in 7 of its last 10 and allowed 108 or more in back-to-back games.

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Chicago Bulls (36-40) welcome the New York Knicks (45-31) to the United Center Friday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Knicks vs. Bulls odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Knicks lead 1-0

The Knicks beat the Bulls 116-100 in New York on Jan. 3, covering as an 8-point home favorite. Including Friday, these teams will play 3 times in the next 2 weeks.

New York is coming off a 120-109 home win over the Sacramento Kings Thursday, covering as a 4-point favorite. The Knicks have lost 3 of their last 4 yet have won 4 of their last 7 and covered in 5 of those 7. New York is 40-33-3 against the spread (ATS) on the season.

The Bulls lost 113-101 to the Atlanta Hawks Monday, failing to cover as a 2-point home favorite. They have lost 5 of their last 7 games and are 2-5 ATS in that stretch. Chicago is 37-38-1 ATS on the season. It is led by F DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 23.6 points per game.

Knicks at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, Knicks 106

Moneyline

BET BULLS (-118).

The Knicks shot 55% from the field against Sacramento Thursday with F Josh Hart hitting 14 of 19. A similar performance is unlikely. New York will be without Randle for the rest of the season and won’t be a good matchup for a guard-heavy Bulls team. NY has won just 1 of its last 4 games.

Chicago has the talent in G Cody White to counteract G Jalen Brunson. The Bulls should also have a size advantage with C Nikola Vucevic. The Bulls will have a strong rest advantage as well, having not played for 4 days.

Chicago matches up well with New York. At home, take BULLS (-118).

Against the spread

PASS.

The spread and moneyline are close enough to consider either. I prefer the moneyline and to not fool around with the points.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 212 (-110).

Chicago has the scoring to help the Over here with 4 active players scoring 12 or more points per game. The Bulls have scored at least 108 points in 3 of their last 4 games and are 7-4 O/U in their last 11. Chicago is 40-35-1 O/U on the season.

The Knicks have gone Over in 6 straight games and have tallied at least 112 points in 5 of their last 6, allowing at least 109 in 4 straight as well. With Anunoby, who they brought in for his defensive acumen, still sidelined, the Bulls guard play could thrive.

Back OVER 212 (-110).

Season series: Bulls lead 2-0

Atlanta had a 4-game winning streak snapped with a 122-113 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday while failing to cover as a 4.5-point home underdog. G Bogdan Bogdanovic scored a game-high 38 points while 5 Atlanta players scored in double figures. The Hawks shot 45.7% from the field in the loss.

Hawks at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 117, Hawks 111

Moneyline

PASS.

The spread presents a better opportunity for profit for the Bulls (-135).

Against the spread

BET BULLS -2.5 (-110).

The Bulls are 37-37-1 ATS this season while the Hawks are just 27-47 ATS. Atlanta is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 road games and 2-3 ATS in its last 5 as an underdog. It is also without G Trae Young who provides an edge when he is in the lineup. Chicago is 2-1 ATS in its last 3 games and is coming off an upset road win over Minnesota.

Over/Under

BET OVER 223.5 (-105).

Atlanta has an 8-1 Over record in its last 9 games while Chicago has a 7-3 Over record in its last 10. The Hawks have hit the Over in each of their last 7 games and have scored 113 or more in each of their last 6. They have given up 118 or more in 5 of their last 7. Chicago has hit the Over in 4 of its last 6 at home.
