Are UNO cards in Boban Marjanovic’s giant hand REALLY that tiny? We did the math to decide

Boban posted a photo of UNO cards in his giant hands and they look so tiny. Is it real?

This is the truth: 7-foot-4 Boban Marjanovic has ginormous hands.

They make everything from people to basketballs look tiny. And thanks to the Houston Rockets center, that now may include UNO cards.

Why do I say “may”? Well, when Marjanovic posted a photo on Instagram of his enormous hand palming some UNO cards, it made them look like a mini version of the popular game.

We here at For The Win took this very seriously. Is it real?

Our Friday crew in our Slack channel had a back-and-forth, and here’s what our Bryan Kalbrosky came up with: “Boban’s hands are 10.75 inches long and 12 inches wide. Regular UNO cards are 3.5 inches by 2.2 inches.”

“My calculation tells me he should be able to fit 3.07 UNO cards in the length of his hand,” he added.

So … is it real? Check out Bryan’s image he made:

Hmm. But there’s a winky face emoji at the bottom. Are we all being fooled here?

Also, there are mini UNO cards for sale, which could explain it.

Verdict: We’re not sure we completely believe it. Prove us wrong, Boban!

Nikola Jokic and Boban Marjanović shared the most heartwarming moment together

Just LOOK at Jokic’s face of JOY!

Nikola Jokic and Boban Marjanović may have carved different paths to the NBA, but they seemingly couldn’t be any closer.

As two Serbian players for the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets, respectively, Jokic and Marjanović are great friends. Whenever their teams play, the two apparently make it a point to get together and have dinner. (Plus, Marjanović seems to have lots of close pals.)

We saw the latest on-court demonstration of their appreciation for one another Tuesday night. After the Nuggets beat the Rockets 133-112, Jokic and Marjanović met up for a heartwarming embrace and exchanged three kisses — a sign of respect.

More than most, they’re just enjoying life.

Would you just look at the smile on Jokic’s face while he talks to his pal? That is pure, unfiltered friendship right there. It doesn’t get any better than that.

And if you’re up for more wholesome Jokic-Marjanović content, their on-court meet-ups are certainly nothing new:

Do yourself a favor. If you don’t already have one, find yourself a friend like Jokic or Marjanović.

4 backup big men Sixers should take a look at on the buyout market

Here are four backup big man options the Philadelphia 76ers should take a look at on the buyout market.

The Philadelphia 76ers made their move at the deadline when they moved Matisse Thybulle to the Portland Trail Blazers in a four-team deal that netted them Jalen McDaniels from the Charlotte Hornets in a deal that also brought Philadelphia below the luxury tax line.

The move gives the Sixers another able perimeter defender, but it also doesn’t fix their issue of a backup center.

At the moment, Philadelphia is relying on their duo of Montrezl Harrell and Paul Reed who are both serviceable, but they aren’t necessarily solutions. Harrell is very good on the offensive end and he brings a ton of energy, but he struggles rebounding and defending against bigger centers while Reed is a solid defender, but he fouls a ton and doesn’t offer much in the way of offense.

Therefore, it’s time for the Sixers to turn to the buyout market, which president Daryl Morey says they’ll be active in. There are four possible options for Philadelphia and they are:

¡Trolean a Tobias Harris!

Boban Marjanovic mercilessly blocked these kid’s shots at a Mavericks basketball camp and, honestly, it’s for the best

They needed to learn the hard way.

When you’re a kid, you think the world is your oyster. And that’s a good thing, you know? Confidence is important in life. You need that.

But sometimes? You need to be taught valuable lessons. Lessons that will lead you down the right paths in life and allow you to make the best decisions for yourself.

Sometimes the best way to teach those lessons is by blocking a kid’s shot halfway across a gym.

What lesson is that? Truthfully, I have no idea. But there’s no better teacher for this one than Boban Marjanovic.

Sure, he’s an adorable 7’3 center sometimes who does Soul Cycle classes and sends tweets to his best friends when he misses them. This was not one of those times, folks. This was closer to the John Wick Boban than anything else.

The Mavericks had Boban out there snatch blocking shots left and right. Absolutely zero effort involved. Just dashing these kids’ hopes one hand at a time.

This was absolutely incredible. And, you know what? Good for him. Anybody can get it when you step on that court — man, woman, child, dog, goldfish. It don’t matter. You getting locked up if you pick up that ball.

Maybe that’s the lesson there? Anybody can get it. Yeah, I like that. Let’s go with that. This way I don’t have to feel as bad when I’m dunking on 6-year-olds like LeBron James.

Oh, wait. Did I say that out loud? Whoops. Anyway, fans thought this was hilarious.

The complete list of the 64 NBA stars, legends, coaches and more in Adam Sandler’s Hustle

Anthony Edwards, Boban Marjanovic, Tobias Harris and so many more NBA players are featured.

It is no secret that comedian Adam Sandler loves basketball. His newest film, Hustle, which is now streaming on Netflix, is his longest love letter to the sport yet.

The film is produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison Production in tandem with LeBron James’ The SpringHill Company. It is about a basketball scout who discovers a once-in-a-lifetime player with “a rocky past” (played by Juancho Hernangomez) and the path he takes to the NBA.

Spencer Beighley — the Head of Film at The SpringHill Company and an executive producer for Hustle — explained to For The Win why the movie was able to land so many big names for this project.

“You’re going to see a lot of excellent basketball players in this movie. It was never as easy to get cameos in any movie than it was on Hustle because when you say Adam Sandler’s name, people immediately perk up,” Beighley said.

“All these players, they not only grew up with all of Adam’s movies, but they know that he is a true basketball fan at his core.”

You’ll notice that many of the featured athletes have connections to the Philadelphia 76ers. That’s because, in the movie, Sandler’s character used to work for the organization. The film’s director (Jeremiah Zagar) and writer (Will Fetters) are both from Philly.

Meanwhile, in addition to many of the bigger names, there are also plenty of other non-NBA basketball players who played important roles (including streetball legends like The Professor, AO, and Main Event) as well.

“There are so many hidden cameos that sometimes go so ‘inside-basketball’ that only the dedicated fans are really going to notice,” Beighley added. “I think it’s those cameos that allow this story to feel like a love letter to the game.”

For example, TNT broadcaster Kenny Smith plays an agent named Leon Rich. In case you didn’t catch that reference, LeBron’s first agent when he came into the league was Leon Rose and his current agent is Rich Paul.

There are plenty of other similar nuggets (including Denver’s Aaron Gordon) and easter eggs sprinkled throughout the film to look out for as well.

Before you stream, you can watch a trailer for the movie if you click here. Otherwise, take a look at some of the individuals who you will see on the screen when you watch Hustle.

NOTE: Some of the images could be spoilers for the movie!

The slowest players in the league, according to NBA 2K22

Check out the slowest players in the league, according to NBA 2K22.

Just as interesting as it is to see who the fastest players in every edition of NBA 2K is, it might be even more fun to find out who the game franchise ranks as the slowest players in the NBA every year.

NBA 2K22 won’t shock you with any of these players, as this ranking is littered with plodding 7-footers like Tacko FallBrook Lopez and Boban Marjanovic, but the list is quite interesting and entertaining nonetheless.

Below, check out the slowest players in the league, according to NBA 2K22.

Luka Doncic just threw a wrench in Tobias Harris’ and Boban Marjanovic’s friendship

Wow. Is the friendship really over?

Wow, you absolutely hate to see this. At one point in time, Boban Marjoanovic and Tobias Harris were inseparable. Literally.

They played for the Pistons, Clippers and 76ers together before Marjanovic was shipped off to Dallas. And, in that time, they became incredible friends with one another. They’ve done so much together over the years from teaching a Soul Cycle class to playing some cornhole in the NBA bubble and more.

One would think that a little distance between the two wouldn’t put a strain on their friendship, right? Especially with how close they were. Bobi and Tobi? Beefing? Yeah, right. Never.

Enter one Luka Doncic. Marjanovic’s teammate has become his new BFF, moving Tobias Harris out of the picture.

We saw the relationship growing and blossoming over time. The two were very clearly friends. And that’s fine! Friends can have friends. But they’re more than friends, though. They are best friends forever.

They made it official with these hoodies.

Wow. How could Boban? How could he? Tobias Harris chimed in on it.

Boban tried to apologize, but the damage was done. SHAME.

Way to ruin a good thing, Boban. Hope those hoodies were worth it, pal.

NBA fans were not happy with the refs for ejecting Boban Marjanović for a weak flagrant 2

Poor Boban!

Boban Marjanović is widely regarded as one of the nicest players in the NBA. He doesn’t seem to have a bad bone in his body and everyone who spends any time with him seems to end up thinking he’s just the greatest.

Well on Tuesday night that nice guy committed a foul in garbage time of the Mavs’ blowout win over the Warriors that was a little aggressive but also not that intentional. After a review, however, the refs called it a flagrant 2 and ejected him from the game.

They ejected Boban! For a flagrant 2! In garbage time!

Boban definitely got Jordan Poole pretty good with this foul and deserved a flagrant 1.

Per NBA rules, a flagrant 2 is when unnecessary and excessive contact is committed by a player against an opponent. I guess you could look at that play by Boban as unnecessary but it didn’t seem excessive.

NBA fans were not impressed:

Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanović reunited for a new Goldfish commercial and it’s amazing

Wow this is amazing.

Boban Marjanović and Tobias Harris’ friendship has just been incredible to watch. It’s blossomed so much over the years. The Bobi and Tobi show is the absolute best.

They’ve done so much together over the years from teaching a Soul Cycle class to playing some cornhole in the NBA bubble and more.

Of course, there’s been heartbreak along the way. They were broken up after Marjanović’s trade to the Mavericks, but their friendship has remained strong throughout it all.

And now it’s back and looking as strong as ever. The two are doing commercials together now. They both appeared in a commercial for Goldfish and it was hilarious.

Turns out perfect content actually does exist. This is exactly it. We need more of this and we need it now.

Get on it, Bobi & Tobi. Please.
