Bills QB Josh Allen injures arm vs. Raiders (video)

Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed another terrific looking pass on a play that required a lot of effort.

Update (5:52 p.m.): Allen will return to the Bills offense in the second half

Previous coverage:

Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed another terrific looking pass on a play that required a lot of effort.

Rolling out to his left, Allen flicked a pass forward to Stefon Diggs and it appeared to just be another jaw-dropping play by him early in the 2020 NFL season.

But it wasn’t.

Allen, getting tackled by Raiders defender Arden Key, grabbed his non-throwing shoulder after hitting the ground.

Here’s what happened:

Bills CB Levi Wallace questionable to return vs. Raiders

Buffalo Bills CB Levi Wallace injured vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.

Bills cornerback Levi Wallace is questionable to return in his team’s Week 4 contest against the Raiders with an ankle injury.

Wallace went up for a pass that was deflected and appeared to land awkwardly on his foot. The third-year pro had actually started the game despite cornerback Josh Norman making his Buffalo debut after being activated from the team’s injured reserve list on Saturday.

Wallace was injured in the first quarter of the game while the Bills were up 7-0. The Raiders went on to score a 54-yard field goal on the drive to cut the score to 7-3.

Bills-Raiders now being shown to 70 percent of country

The Buffalo Bills’ Week 4 game with the Las Vegas Raiders has been moved into a national time slot.

While all will wish it was under better circumstances, the Buffalo Bills are now being shown to a lot of the United States on Sunday.

The Bills announced on Saturday that due to COVID-19 related game postponements, the Bills’ first visit to the Las Vegas Raiders will be shown to 70 percent of the country now. Per Patriots Wire, the Patriots-Chiefs Week 4 game, originally scheduled for Sunday at the same time of the Bills game, will now be moved to Monday or Tuesday.

Patriots quarterback Cam Newton and Chiefs practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta’amu tested positive for COVID-19. Because of that, the NFL took the imitative to move their game back and now that benefited the Bills… at least in terms of eyeballs.

Then again, if the Bills are upset by the Raiders, many will wish the Bills’ game hadn’t been moved.

Bills activate CB Josh Norman from injured reserve

Buffalo Bills CB Josh Norman activated from injured reserve list.

Cornerback Josh Norman is going to make his Buffalo Bills debut on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The team announced on Saturday that Norman was activated from the team’s injured reserve list.

During training camp, Norman had injured his hamstring while covering wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The 32-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Bills. The move was a predicted one as cornerback Cam Lewis was cut by the Bills on Thursday.

Earlier this week, the Bills moved Norman, 32, to the designated to return section of their injured reserve list. That did not mean Norman would immediately return, it means the Bills then had 21 days to official activate him.

Bills WR John Brown anticipated to play vs. Raiders

Buffalo Bills WR John Brown injury update prior to facing the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4.

The Buffalo Bills have yet to slap players with injury designations ahead of their Week 4 meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. However, there appears to be some good vibes surrounding wide receiver John Brown.

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said on Friday that it appears, at the time of speaking in the morning, that Brown will play against the Raiders.

“He did some good things [in practice]. I’m anticipating he’ll be available for Sunday, but I don’t want to say for sure just yet,” McDermott said.

The Bills held their final practice of the week following McDermott’s video conference. Brown is slated to participate in some fashion, either limited or a full practice.

Brown has been nursing a calf injury as of late. In Week 3 against the Rams, Brown left the game before recording a catch due to the injury. Prior to that game on Oct. 24, Brown was listed as a limited participant in practice because of the issue.

After Brown exited the Rams meeting, rookie wide receiver Gabriel Davis filled in, making four catches for 81 yards.

Later on Friday, the Bills and Raiders will both release injury designations for their rosters heading into the weekend. Both will be published on Bills Wire when they are released.

NFL Week 4 odds, betting lines: Bills are road favorites first time in Las Vegas

Buffalo Bills odds, spread in Week 4 vs. Las Vegas Raiders.

[jwplayer nErfXFWt-ThvAeFxT]

The Buffalo Bills are heading to the sports betting capitol of the country in Las Vegas for the first time to play a football game against the Raiders (1-2).

In doing so the sports bettors evidently do like the Bills (3-0) heading into their first AFC West action of the season. According to BetMGM, the Bills are 3-point favorites heading to face the Raiders in Week 4.

So far this season, the Bills have been favorites every game. Last week against the Rams, Buffalo was a 2.5-point favorite and covered that with some late-game heroics by quarterback Josh Allen, 35-32. In terms of the Raiders, the Patriots beat them up in New England in Week 3, 36-20.

But for the first time this season, the Bills are not near the bottom of the barrel in regard to their game’s over/ under. That honor this week goes to the Broncos-Jets meeting, which sits at 41. The Bills aren’t the highest in the league, but several games are below their 49.5 over/ under. In total, nine other games have a lower number attached to it across the NFL in Week 4.

The moneyline for Week 3 is Raiders (+113) and Bills (-127).
