Today, we will be looking at Texas’ record against the Atlantic Coast Conference, with a bonus! Notre Dame has been included as well, playing all sports but football in the ACC. Even then, Brian Kelly’s squad played a 10 game schedule in 2020 thanks to COVID-19.
Much like the Big Ten, Texas does not have significant history against the conference.

Back to the ACC and Texas’ most played opponent is North Carolina. The two, who share a love for Mack Brown, have faced off nine different times. Most recently in a home and home series in 2001 and 2002.
Three programs have never lined up against the Longhorns, most notably Clemson. Many schools have also only played Texas once, either in a bowl game or a one-off campus visit.

Amidst the turmoil of the college football landscape on Tuesday, after the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences announced that they will be canceling their 2020 fall football schedules, Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey released the following statement on the SEC’s official Twitter account.
“I look forward to learning more about the factors that led to the Big Ten and Pac-12 leadership to take these actions today. I remain comfortable with the thorough and deliberate approach that the SEC and our 14 member schools are taking to support a healthy environment for our student-athletes. We will continue to further refine our policies and protocols for a safe return to sports as we monitor developments around COVID-19 in a continued effort to support, educate and care for our student-athletes every day.”

The Atlantic Coast Conference also released a statement over Twitter about the same time on Tuesday afternoon, which stated the following.
The ACC will continue to make decisions based on medical advice, inclusive of our Medical Advisory Group, local and state health guidelines, and do so in a way that appropriately coincides with our universities’ academic missions.
The safety of our students, staff and overall campus communities will always be our top priority, and we are pleased with the protocols being administrated on our 15 campuses. We will continue to follow our process that has been in place for months and has served us well.
We understand the need to stay flexible and be prepared to adjust as medical information and the landscape evolves.

After the Big Ten announced its 10-game intraconference schedule yesterday, the Atlantic Coast Conference followed suit today by announcing its 11-game intraconference-plus-one schedule for all 15 members, which now includes Notre Dame.

It was Pflueger who was out of sorts in a good way who helped paved the way
In an absolute “got to have it” game for Notre Dame basketball Sunday night, veterans John Mooney and Rex Pflueger and John Mooney were nails in the 61-57 Fighting Irish victory.
Mooney did what Mooney does, scoring 16 and pulling down 11 boards en-route to his 19th double-double on the year.
It was Pflueger who was out of sorts in a good way who helped paved the way. The fifth year guard had a season high 18 points while shooting a perfect five-of-five from beyond the arc.
For comparison, Pflueger entered Sunday shooting all of 30% from three.
Clemson was playing without leading scorer and rebounder Aamir Simms who was dealing with the flu. They wound up being led by guards Tevin Mack and Alex Hemenway who each finished with 16.
The Tigers fell to 11-12 overall on the year and 5-8 in ACC play.
Notre Dame won their fourth straight ACC game to improve to 15-8 overall and get back to .500 and 6-6 in the league.
The difficulty scale now gets turned up for Mike Brey and Notre Dame as the Irish return to action Tuesday night in Virginia before a trip to Cameron Indoor Arena and Duke awaits Saturday.
