2024 4-Star RB out of Florida is predicted to land with Texas A&M

2024 4-star running back Anthony Carrie has received an official prediction to commit to Texas A&M during his announcement on Wednesday.

2024 four-star running back Anthony Carrie has been on quite the recruiting journey during the past month, as the former favorite to land with Michigan State recently made his way to College Station last weekend, developing a close relationship with new Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko, who is in the beginning stages of putting his stamp on the program.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Carrie and his Carrollwood Day teammate, 2024 four-star Edge Solomon Williams, were heavily trending to both end up in Aggieland, as Williams will also announce his intention on Wednesday during the nationally televised Early Signing Day for the 2024 cycle.

Keeping with the current trends, On3’s Chad Simmons officially logged his own reliable prediction that Carrie will commit to Texas A&M, becoming the first and only running back in the Aggies 2024 class, and a very talented one at that.

According to On3’s Industry rankings, Carrie is currently positioned as the 27th-ranked running back and the 46th-ranked player in Florida. He is coming off his productive 2023 senior season at Carrollwood Day, recording 855 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground.

Note: Anthony Carrie will announce his commitment on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 4:00 p.m. CT.

Texas A&M is now predicted to land two top 2024 prospects

Texas A&M is now trending to land 2024 4-star Edge Solomon Williams, and 3-star running back Anthony Carrie.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class has taken a notable dip, currently ranked 20th in 247Sports’ recruiting rankings, as eight players have de-committed from the program since the firing of Jimbo Fisher back on Nov. 12.

Under new head coach Mike Elko, any recruiting momentum has been slow to a crawl. Still, according to several prediction analysts, the Aggies are now trending towards signing two of their top targets, including four-star Edge Solomon Williams and four-star running back Anthony Carrie, who are teammates at Carrollwood Day in Tampa, Florida.

While Carrie is coming off of an official visit to College Station this weekend after canceling his visit to Michigan State, it’s not a surprise that he’s slowly become a favorite to land in Aggieland. For Williams, credit Elko for reeling him in after visiting Texas, Alabama, and Oregon in the last three months.

According to 247Sports Composite, Carrie is currently positioned as the 19th-ranked running back and the 40th-ranked player in Florida. He is coming off his productive 2023 senior season at Carrollwood Day, recording 855 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground.

Solomon Williams, who stands at 6’3″ and 250 pounds, is ranked as the 10th Edge and the 18th-ranked player in Florida. During his 2023 senior season, Williams recorded 47 tackles, 40 solo tackles and eight sacks on the year.

Note: Anthony Carrie will announce his commitment on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 4:00 p.m. CT.

4-star RB Anthony Carrie cancels visit to MSU, will head to Texas A&M instead

One of the top targets on the Spartans’ 2024 board will be heading to College Station instead of East Lansing this weekend

One of the top targets on the Spartans’ 2024 board will be heading to College Station instead of East Lansing this weekend.

Four-star running back Anthony Carrie reportedly has canceled his planned official visit to Michigan State for this upcoming weekend and will instead head to Texas A&M. Chad Simmons of On3 reported the recruiting news on Carrie. This move ultimately suggests Carrie will not end up as a Spartan.

Carrie ranks as the No. 19 running back and No. 296 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. Carrie had been committed to Michigan State up until last month before decommitting shortly before Jonathan Smith was hired as head coach.

2024 4-Star RB out of Tampa (FL) is set to visit Texas A&M this weekend

After cancelling his visit to Michigan State, 2024 4-star RB Anthony Carrie will instead take a trip to College Station this weekend.

New Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko knows that to mold the Aggies’ roster in his image, attrition through the evergrowing transfer portal and de-commits from the 2024 recruiting class are inevitable.

Focusing on the recruiting trail, several intriguing options remain in the 2024 cycle, including four-star running back Anthony Carrie, who has been a favorite to land with Michigan State for quite some time.

However, while the Spartans have also made a coaching change in the form of former Oregon State HC Jonathan Smith, the rebuild is in order, leading to a report from On3, first reported from AggiesToday, that Carrie has canceled his upcoming visit to Michigan State and will instead visit Elko and his staff in College Station this coming weekend.

According to 247Sports Composite, Carrie is currently positioned as the 19th-ranked running back and the 40th-ranked player in Florida. He is coming off his productive 2023 senior season at Carrollwood Day, recording 855 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground.

If Anthony Carrie were to commit to the Aggies, he would be the first running back commit in A&M’s 2024 recruiting class.

Anthony Carrie is set to take another official visit to Michigan State this December, according to reports.

Michigan State landed a gem in the 2024 class this past June when they secured the commitment of Tampa (FL), Carrollwood Day running back Anthony ‘Scoota’ Carrie.

According to a report by On3’s Chad Simmons, Carrie will be returning to East Lansing for an official visit on December 15th. It was also noted that he is visiting Georgia Tech on December 8th and the ongoing presence of NC State in the race.

Carrie is ranked as a 4-star prospect and ranks as the No. 293 overall player and the No. 19 RB in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Of note, MSU received a crystal ball to snag Carrie for a second time.
