2025 3-Star TE out of Terrell, Texas will reportedly visit in mid-June

Texas A&M will reportedly host 2025 3-star tight end Keiundre Johnson in mid-June

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is looking better and better by the day as head coach Mike Elko’s visitor list continues to grow, which will now include 2025 4-star tight end Keiundre Johnson out of Terrell, Texas.

While spring practices, which officially began this week, have taken over from an attention standpoint, the Aggies’ April 20 Maroon & White Spring game presents a huge opportunity to impress the 2025 prospects who will be stopping by, including 4-star wide receiver Taz Williams.

However, Johnson’s June 20 visit date, which On3’s Sam Spiegelman confirmed, couldn’t come at a better time, as Elko and his staff will be freed up to provide as the talented, highly underrated future pass catcher and take in all that College Station has to offer.

Receiving nearly 20 offers, Johnson’s current 6-3 230-pound stature means that he’ll likely continue growing in the next couple of years while already possessing the inline blocking skills coupled with a ton of potential as a receiver down the line.

According to Rivals, Johnson is currently positioned as the 80th-ranked prospect in the state and the 33rd-ranked tight end in the 2025 recruiting class.

Where does Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class land in On3’s blue chip signees rankings?

On3’s 2024 Blue Chip Rankings place Texas A&M’s talented 2024 recruiting class in the upper echelon among three SEC programs.

Texas A&M’s football program is now under new leadership, as new head coach Mike Elko has only been on the job for two full months, already acquiring 22 players from the transfer portal while solidifying the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting class to boot.

During Wednesday’s National Signing Day, Elko and his staff secured signings from several 2024 commits, headlined by 5-star athlete Terry Bussey, possibly the top overall player in the cycle. While Bussey’s signing was a huge sigh of relief for both the coaching staff and the Aggie fan base, 3-star offensive tackle Robert Bourdon and 4-star wide receiver Ashton Belton-Roman are two significant late additions to the class.

According to On3, Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class is currently the 17th-ranked class in the nation, but what sticks out the most is their high percentage of “blue chip” prospects among the 17 signees—taking the “quality over quantity” approach, where do the Aggies land among the Top 10 programs in blue chip signees?

Here are On3’s Top 10 programs in accordance with blue chip (4-star, 5-star signees) players in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

After 2024 5-Star ATH Terry Bussey’s signing, here are Texas A&M’s Top 10 All-Time commits

After 2024 5-Star athlete Terry Bussey’s signing, where does he rank among Texas A&M’s Top 10 All-Time commitments?

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class is now complete, as head coach Mike Elko finished things out during Wednesday’s National Signing Day, headlined by the signing of long-time commit, 5-star athlete Terry Bussey, followed by 3-star offensive tackle Robert Bourdon and 4-star wide receiver Ashton Belton-Roman.

Finishing with the now 16th-ranked recruiting class according to 247Sports, Elko has already proven this recruiting prowess after two solid seasons as Duke’s head coach and his four seasons as A&M’s defensive coordinator under Jimbo Fisher have aided in his success in developing lasting relationships.

Terry Bussey’s signing is by far one of the program’s most significant recruiting victories for any head coach, as the No. 1-ranked athlete in the class has a chance to have a Travis Hunter-like collegiate career as Elko recently stated that he will start out as a cornerback, but receive snaps on offense throughout his Aggie career.

“For us, he’s going to come in at corner, but he’ll certainly have a role with the ball in his hand in the return game and as a specialist in some situations.”

So, where does Bussey stand among Texas A&M’s All-Time high school commitments? Here are the Top 10 prospects to sign with Texas A&M over the last two decades, per 247Sports.

4-star OT Robert Bourdon follows head coach Mike Elko from Duke and signs with Texas A&M

“A kid that we were very familiar with, had committed to coach Cushing and I back at Duke, decided to postpone his signing,” Mike Elko said.

After decommitting from Duke on Jan. 22, 4-star offensive tackle Robert Bourdon followed head coach Mike Elko to College Station as he immediately chose Texas A&M and made the choice official on Wednesday.

“Robbie Bourdon is an offensive lineman from Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee,” Elko said at his press conference Wednesday afternoon. “Obviously, a kid that we were very familiar with, had committed to coach Cushing and I back at Duke, decided to postpone his signing in December, we were able to get him out in January for a visit and able to get that one over the line.

“I think he’s an extremely athletic offensive lineman, he’s a lacrosse player, has really good feet, has a really big frame and I think he projects to be a really good offensive tackle for us, so really excited for that.”

Bourdon is 6-foot-6 and 292 pounds. He had 27 total offers, six campus visits and two coach visits. On Feb. 2, Bourdon posted a photo to X of him with Elko, offensive line coach Adam Cushing and associate head coach & running backs coach Trooper Taylor.

The Tennessee native is one of three players signed by Texas A&M on national signing day 2024 along with 5-star athlete Terry Bussey and 4-star wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman.

2024 4-Star WR and former Arkansas commit is now predicted to sign with Texas A&M

On3’s Sam Spiegelman has submitted his prediction for 2024 4-star WR Ashton Bethel-Roman to sign with Texas A&M on Wednesday, Feb. 7 (National Signing Day).

Late last week, it was reported that 2024 4-star wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman, out of Missouri City, Texas, had been formally released from his LOI (letter of intent) with the Arkansas Razorbacks, opening up his recruitment after visiting College Station last month.

Slated to sign with a team during National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 7, Bethel-Roman has kept in contact with Aggies head coach Mike Elko and new wide receivers coach Holman Wiggins, leading to On3’s Sam Spiegelman’s official prediction for the future playmaker to sign with Texas A&M.

According to 247Sports, Bethel-Roman is posited as the 134th-ranked player in the 2025 recruiting cycle, the 27th-ranked wide receiver, and the 24th-ranked player in Texas. During his 2023 senior season at Ridge Point High School, Bethel-Roman recorded 49 receptions for 964 yards and 9 touchdowns through the air.

On Wednesday, the Aggies look to lock down three 2024 prospects, headlined by 5-star athlete Terry Bussey, 3-star OL Robert Bourdon, and now, Ashton Bethel-Roman.

2024 ATH and Aggie commit Terry Bussey has announced his signing time for Wednesday, Feb. 7

2024 5-star ATH Terry Bussey will officially sign with either Texas A&M, LSU, or Georgia in the early morning on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

The recruiting chronicles of 2024 5-star athlete Terry Bussey will finally come to an end, as the highly talented, versatile playmaker, who is currently committed to Texas A&M, is also considering LSU and Georgia before signing with either program on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 9:00 a.m. CT.

All three programs are deadlocked entering tomorrow’s announcement; however, Bussey is coming off his final visit to College Station last weekend, meeting with new Aggies head coach Mike Elko and his staff, which looks to be a good sign, if any.

Last week, On3’s Sam Spiegelman announced that Bussey was down to signing with either A&M or LSU, but after canceling his visit with the Tigers to do an in-home visit with Georgia last Friday, things make have changed.

Regarding his relationship with the new Texas A&M staff, Bussey, in an interview with On3 noted his close relationship with several position coaches, including Aggie’s cornerbacks coach Ishmael Aristide:

“I’ve been getting to know the new staff,” Bussey told On3 earlier this month. “It’s been great building a relationship with coach Elko, coach (Ishmael Aristide) and I’m building relationships with other coaches they already have on staff. They’re great guys, great people, they know a lot about football and they’re great football-minded people.”

According to On3, Bussey is currently positioned as the 30th-ranked player in the 2024 class, the No. 1-ranked athlete, and the 8th-ranked player in Texas.

Arkansas has released 2024 4-Star WR out of Missouri City (TX) from his LOI after recently visiting Texas A&M

Arkansas has released 2024 4-star WR Ashton Bethel-Roman from his letter of intent just a few weeks after visiting Texas A&M.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class may not be finished adding prospects just yet, as it has been revealed that former Arkansas 4-star wide receiver commit Ashton Bethel-Romas has reportedly been released from his LOI (letter of intent) with the program, placing the Aggies back in contention.

According to TexAgs’ Ryan Brauninger, Bethel-Romas had filed his LOI release paperwork in January, separating himself from the Razorbacks last month. While nearly every program that offered the amending playmaker will be in play for his commitment, the Aggies may have the best chance as things currently stand.

After taking an official visit to College Station late last month, Aggies head coach Mike Elko and his staff, specifically new wide receivers coach and leader recruiter Holmon Wiggins, have kept in contact with Bethel-Roman during the entire process as the Missouri City, Texas pipeline, which includes current Miami Dolphins star running back De’Von Achane remains stronger than ever.

While 2024 5-star athlete Terry Bussey is reportedly down to signing with Texas A&M or LSU, Texas A&M’s 2024 cycle still needs another wide receiver prospect to pair with 3-star WR Ernest Campbell.

2024 5-Star ATH and Aggie commit Terry Bussey is reportedly down to two programs

According to On3’s Sam Spiegelman, 2024 5-star athlete Terry Bussey is reportedly down to signing with either Texas A&M or LSU.

Texas A&M’s lone unsigned commit in the 2024 recruiting cycle outside of recent OL Duke flip Robert Bourdon, 5-star athlete Terry Bussey has been committed to the program since last September, forgoing early signing day in late Dec. to gauge his options further.

Last week, it was reported by On3’s Sam Spiegelman that Bussey had planned several last-minute visits to Georgia on Friday, Jan. 26, LSU on Wednesday, Jan. 31, and, coming this Friday, a final visit to Texas A&M on Friday, Feb. 2.

With both visits to Georgia and LSU complete, Spiegelman has revealed that Bussey is reportedly down to just two programs: Texas A&M and the rival LSU Tigers.

Texas A&M has already lost several former 2024 commits to the Tigers since the end of last year, some due to the firing of head coach Jimbo Fisher and the hiring of new head coach Mike Elko just a week later. While Bussey has developed a close relationship with Elko and his staff, nothing is set in stone, as he recently noted in an interview with On3:

“I’ve been getting to know the new staff,” Bussey told On3 earlier this month. “It’s been great building a relationship with coach Elko, coach (Ishmael Aristide) and I’m building relationships with other coaches they already have on staff. They’re great guys, great people, they know a lot about football and they’re great football-minded people.”

According to On3, Bussey is currently positioned as the 30th-ranked player in the 2024 class, the No. 1-ranked athlete, and the 8th-ranked player in Texas.

2024 4-Star OT Robert Bourdon has committed to Texas A&M

Texas A&M HC Mike Elko has gained a commitment from former Duke commit and 2024 4-star OT Robert Bourdon.

Boom! Texas A&M and head coach Mike Elko have added another piece to the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting class, as former Duke commit and 2024 four-star offensive tackle Robert Bourdon has flipped to the Aggies, following Elko to College Station after two seasons as the Blue Devil’s head coach.

With Bourdon’s commitment, Elko now has 15 players signed/committed in the 2024 cycle, while five-star athlete Terry Bussey remains the lone wildcard commit before officially signing with a program early next month.

According to 247Sports, Robert Bourdon, who stands at 6-6 and nearly 300 pounds, is currently positioned as the 558th player in the class, the 43rd-ranked offensive tackle, and the 12th-ranked player in Tennessee, heading into his final senior season at Collierville (TN) High School.

After visiting College Station on Jan. 19, Bourdon had remained in contact with Elko and, most importantly, new Aggies offensive line coach Adam Cushing, who served in the same position at Duke last season. Bourdon joins four-star tackles Blake Ivy and Ashton Funk to an already deep tackle depth chart ahead of the 2024 season.

2024 4-Star ATH and Aggie commit Terry Bussey set to take several SEC visits before signing

Ahead of signing day, 2024 5-Star athlete and Texas A&M commit will take several SEC visits, including to College Station.

The Terry Bussey sweepstakes will soon come to a close next month, as the 2024 five-star athlete, who is currently committed to Texas A&M, did not sign with the program during the Dec. early signing period, opting to explore his options before making a final decision.

While the Aggies remain the front runners, Georgia and LSU are right behind them, doing everything in their power to flip one of the most talented and versatile athletes the 2024 cycle has to offer. Head coach Mike Elko and his staff are dedicating all their time and resources to Bussey and 2024 five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams.

This week, On3’s Sam Spiegelman reported that Bussey would take three official visits to Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M before signing with a program on Wednesday, Jan. 7, providing Elko a final shot at selling his vision, which likely includes how he will use Bussey on both sides of the ball.

According to On3, Bussey is currently positioned as the 30th-ranked player in the 2024 class, the No. 1-ranked athlete, and the 8th-ranked player in Texas.
