Report: 4-star RB Anthony Carrie to take official visit to Michigan State football

Anthony Carrie is set to take another official visit to Michigan State this December, according to reports.

Michigan State landed a gem in the 2024 class this past June when they secured the commitment of Tampa (FL), Carrollwood Day running back Anthony ‘Scoota’ Carrie.

Carrie was committed to the Spartans for almost five months, before reopening the process due to the ongoing changes with Michigan State’s coaching staff.

Now, with the new coaching staff in place, the staff is making Carrie a priority to return to the 2024 recruiting class.

According to a report by On3’s Chad Simmons, Carrie will be returning to East Lansing for an official visit on December 15th. It was also noted that he is visiting Georgia Tech on December 8th and the ongoing presence of NC State in the race.

Carrie is ranked as a 4-star prospect and ranks as the No. 293 overall player and the No. 19 RB in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Of note, MSU received a crystal ball to snag Carrie for a second time.

Anthony ‘Scoota’ Carrie was one of the biggest recruiting wins of the summer for MSU’s staff. The Spartans were able to beat out North Carolina and South Carolina for the 4-star running back from Carrollwood Day school in Tampa, Florida.

Michigan State lands huge commitment from 4-star RB Anthony ‘Scoota’ Carrie:

Michigan State has picked up a huge commitment, getting a pledge from 4-star Florida running back Anthony Carrie. Carrie is a native of Tampa, Florida, attending Carrollwood Day High School.

Michigan State directly beat out North Carolina in a head to head battle for the running back’s commitment, but the star tailback held offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and over 40 more.

Carrie ranks as the No. 273 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class, as well as the No. 22 running back according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Carrie joins Jaylen Thompson, AJ Dennis, Logan Bennett, Reggie Powers and Camren Campbell in Michigan State’s 2024 recruiting class.

MSU’s top running back target is set to make his college decision tonight:

Anthony ‘Scoota’ Carrie is set to make an announcement on his college career this evening. Carrie took to Twitter to announce that he will be committing at 6pm. The decision is set to come down between Michigan State and North Carolina.

Carrie is a 4-star prospect out of Tampa, Florida, attending Carrollwood Day. He currently ranks as the No. 22 running back and the No. 273 overall recruit in the 2024 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Michigan State is already off to a great start in the 2024 recruiting class and they are continuing with that momentum. The Spartans have been featured in Anthony “Scoota” Carrie’s top schools list.

Carrie is a running back from Tampa, Florida, that attends Carrollwood Day High School. He is a 4-star recruit that ranks as the No. 144 recruit in the nation according to 247Sports.

Michigan State is featured in the top 12 alongside Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Penn State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Georgia.
