Nebraska hosted Indiana in front of a season-high 9,059 fans at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers also raised their fourth retired jersey banner in school history, honoring 2014 first-team All-American and Big Ten Player of the Year, Jordan Hooper.

Alexis Markowski hit 9-of-14 shots from the field including all three of her three-point attempts to finish with 21 points, notching her fifth 20-point game of the season. Markowski also led Nebraska in rebounds, hauling in six. Freshman Logan Nissley was the only other Husker to finish with double-digit points, scoring 13 points in the loss.

Even with Wisconsin pulling within one point by the fourth quarter, the Huskers managed to snuff out the spark and secured a 69-57 win.

A duo led Nebraska in scoring. Freshman Natalie Potts and Alexis Markowski combined for 29 points and 16 rebounds in the outing. Potts led the way with 16 points, going seven-of-ten in total shooting and earning a season-high three steals.

Markowski scored 13 points in the win and secured 11 rebounds to earn her ninth double-double of the season. The win also saw a Husker reach a big milestone. Maddie Krull surpassed 700 career points right at the start of the game, becoming the 60th Husker to earn the achievement.

Nebraska struggled in shooting throughout the game. The Huskers went just 18-of-63 in total shooting, while Kansas shot 24-of-55, enough to pull the Jayhawks away. Only one player for Nebraska broke double-digits in scoring or rebounding.

Alexis Markowski finished as the Husker’s leader in both shooting and rebounding. Markowski earned her seventh double-double of the season in the loss by scoring 19 points and hauling in 11 rebounds.

The Huskers drop to 9-3 on the season and will wait nearly two weeks before their next game. Nebraska will return home to play Maryland on New Year’s Eve. Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m. and can be viewed on the Big Ten Network.

Over a week after taking down Michigan State on the road, the Huskers returned home to take on Southern. Nebraska took the lead from the start over the Jaguars and never looked back, culminating in a 76-51 win.

The Huskers finished the game going 22-of-50 in total shooting, 12-of-27 in three-point shooting and 20-of-27 in free throw shooting. Nebraska also saw history be made in the win.

Alexis Markowski surpassed 1,000 career points on the afternoon, becoming the 37th Husker in school history to reach that milestone. Markowski led Nebraska in scoring as well, dropping 21 points.

Jaz Shelley finished second for the Huskers in scoring, delivering 15 points in the win. Shelly accompanied her 15 points with five rebounds and five assists. Freshman Logan Nissley also scored double-digit points for Nebraska, finishing the game with 14 points.

Nissley earn a majority of her points from beyond the arc as she went four-of-five in three-point shooting. Freshman Natalie Potts also put together a solid performance, leading the team in rebounds with nine.

Nebraska clashed with Michigan State, who stood with a record of 7-1. The Spartans battled the Huskers till the very end, but Nebraska built a strong enough lead to pull away with an 80-74 win.

Though Michigan State finished with more shots, the Huskers finished with more baskets, including from three-point range. Nebraska went 29-of-61 in total shooting and 10-of-23 from beyond the arc. The Spartans only went 27-of-67 in total shots and landed just 4-of-27 in three-point shooting.

The Huskers saw four players finish with double-digit points. Alexis Markowski led Nebraska with her sixth double-double of the season, dropping 13 points and a season-high 17 rebounds. Freshman Jessica Petrie finished behind Markowski with 11 points for her second-straight double-digit game. Petrie scored 11 points after going five-of-seven in shooting.

Jaz Shelley also delivered 11 points in the win, accompanied by nine assists and seven rebounds, nearly earning herself another triple-double. Freshman Natalie Potts rounded out the front four for Nebraska, finishing with 10 points.

But the Huskers stormed back from the deficit, outscoring the Yellowjackets 58-40 in the second half to pull out the 80-72 victory.

Nebraska finished the contest, going 32-of-61 in field goal shooting. For the third time this season, they finished with a 50-plus shooting percentage. Jaz Shelley wrangled in a big game for the Huskers, dropping 22 points for her first 20-point game of the season. Shelley also went three-of-nine from beyond the arc and served up eight assists.

Alexis Markowski finished second in scoring for Nebraska, delivering 15 points in the win. Markowski accompanied the 15 points with ten rebounds to record her fourth double of the season. Markowski also snatched a season-high two steals.

In just 13 minutes of action, Freshman Logan Nissley went on a surge, going three-for-five in 3-point shooting and four-of-six in field goal shooting to score 11 points.

The Huskers returned home following their 1-1 run at the St. Pete’s Showcase last week. Nebraska welcomed in Florida Atlantic for its last game in the month of November on Wednesday night. The Huskers took down the Owls 77-53, with a trio of players scoring double-digits in the win.

Alexis Markowski, Natalie Potts, and Callin Hake combined for 41 points on the night, with Markowski leading the way with 18 points. Markowski also secured ten rebounds in the win, making it her third double-double game of the season.

Potts also finished with a double-double in the win and the first of her collegiate career. Potts mirrored her point total and rebound total, hauling in 12 each. Potts scored half of her points from the free throw, going a perfect six-of-six.

Hake rounded out the trio by dropping 11 points, making it her third double-digit scoring game of the season. Hake delivered all but two of her points from beyond the arc, landing three of her four attempts.

Nebraska moves to 5-2 on the season and will begin the month of December with a home game against Georgia Tech on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and can be viewed on B1G+.

Creighton held its lead over Nebraska throughout the game until the very end, and the final score flashed 79-74 Bluejays. The Huskers finished with 26-of-58 in field goal shooting but only went 3-of-21 in 3-point shooting. This played a big factor in the game as Creighton went 28-of-66 in field goal shooting and went 9-of-28 in 3-point shooting.

Alexis Markowski once again dominated the court for Nebraska, finishing with a season-high 24 points. This is Markowski’s second straight 20-point game of the season, and her 11th in her collegiate career.

Freshman Natalie Potts also brough a season-high in the game, dropping 16 points, her third double-digit point game of the season. Montana State transfer Darian White was the final Huskers to finish with double-double points, delivering 13 on the afternoon. She also hauled in 10 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season.

Nebraska falls to 3-1 on the season and hits the road down to St. Petersburg, Florida for the St. Pete Showcase. The Huskers will square off with Lamar for their first game in showcase on Thanksgiving Day. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. and can be viewed on FloSports.

The Huskers returned home to play host to Alcorn State on Tuesday night. Nebraska came out on fire in the first half, outscoring the Lady Braves 49-15, allowing for a calm second half to end in a 79-32 victory.

The Huskers finished just under 50% in field goal percentage, going 24-of-49 in the win. They also took numerous trips to the free throw, sinking 25 off of 36 attempts. Alexis Markowski served as Nebraska’s main factor on the night, dropping 20 points, hauling in nine rebounds and going eight-of-10 at the free-throw line. This is Markowski’s 10th 20-plus point game in her collegiate career.

Freshman Natalie Potts led the Huskers in rebounds, snatching 11 on the night. Potts also delivered seven points and led the team in blocks with three. Another notable freshman performance came from Logan Nissley. The freshman came off the bench for Nebraska to score a season-high 10 points in the win.

Nissley wasn’t the only player to come off the bench and deliver. Callin Hake joined in to drop a season-high 14 points, a career-high seven rebounds and a career-high three steals.

Nebraska came out on fire in the second half, outscoring the Cowgirls 39-24 to secure the win. Four of the Huskers starting five finished with double-digit points, combining for 58 on the night.

Alexis Markowski ended the game as the leading scorer, dropping 17 points, while also hauling in 12 rebounds for a double-double. Jaz Shelley finished behind Markowski with 15 points, but led the team in assists with seven, free throws with five and steals with three.
