Bonomolo Jr. will be a part of the Crimson Tide’s 2024 recruiting class. He still has one year of eligibility remaining at the junior college level.

REPORT: Five-star Boogie Fland has Alabama basketball among his potential visits

Alabama basketball could potentially host five-star guard Boogie Fland on a visit this summer!

Nate Oats has turned the Alabama men’s basketball program into not only an SEC power but a national contender as well.

Part of Oats’ success is greatly due to his elite ability to haul in some of the nation’s top talent and then develop that talent into NBA draft picks.

It doesn’t appear that coach Oats will be falling off on the recruiting trail any time soon either. According to a report from Travis Branham of 247Sports, Oats and the Tide are a strong contender for class of 2024 five-star guard Boogie Fland.

Fland has intentions of visiting some schools in June telling 247Sports; “I am trying to schedule a couple of visits in June and get them over with. I want to see what the schools are like and get a feel for it.”

According to the report, Fland has hopes of visiting Tuscaloosa among other schools such as UCONN, Kentucky, Indiana, and Oregon.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Fland’s recruitment this summer!

Alabama lands commitment from 2023 4-star QB, two-sport athlete, Dylan Lonergan

Alabama landed one of the nation’s top quarterbacks in the 2023 class in four-star Dylan Lonergan.

The Tide’s 2023 recruiting class grew on Monday when four-star quarterback and two-sport athlete Dylan Lonergan announced his commitment to Alabama. He chose the Crimson Tide over South Carolina, Stanford, Florida and Ohio State.

Lonergan is the second quarterback to commit in the 2023 class, with the other being Eli Holstein. Both Alabama quarterback commits rank as top-10 prospects, according to 247Sports’ recruiting rankings.

Lonergan has been a high-profile target for the Tide since receiving an offer from the coaching staff in April of 2021. He is a two-sport athlete at Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia. The signal-caller and baseball pitcher is arguably one of the best prospects in both sports from Georgia. All signs point to him playing both baseball and football when he arrives in Tuscaloosa.

During his junior season, Lonergan completed 234 of 371 passes for a total of 3,392 yards and 32 touchdowns. Perhaps the most impressive statistic was his interception total: three. While being efficient through the air, he also used his legs quite a bit. He ran 90 times for 645 yards and seven touchdowns.

This commitment gives Alabama’s recruiting class a total of 11 hard commits. The good news could very well continue throughout the week as 2023 four-star linebacker Raul Aguirre is set to commit on Tuesday. His decision is likely down to two teams: Miami and Alabama.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Lonergan and Alabama football as the recruiting trail heats up.

Alabama baseball lands promising catcher from SEC rival via transfer portal

Alabama baseball lands Florida transfer catcher Mac Guscette!

The Alabama baseball team received some good news via the transfer portal on Saturday as Florida transfer catcher Mac Guscette announced that he was transferring to Alabama on Twitter.

He is the third player to transfer to the Tide this off-season along with Tenessee Tech transfer Ed Johnson and UAB transfer Aidan Moza.

Some Alabama fans may remember Guscette’s three-run home run against the Tide in the 2022 SEC Tournament to seal the win for the Gators.

Guscette spent two seasons in Gainesville. He played in 57 games for the Gators and held a .259 batting average with five home runs and 27 runs batted in.

Along with being fairly productive at the plate, he also had a .992 fielding percentage over two years in Gainesville. Alabama will likely return last season’s starting catcher Dominic Tamez. However, he will soon decide whether or not to enter the upcoming MLB draft. If both are on the Tide’s roster come fall, the two will likely rotate behind the plate.

It certainly creates intrigue for the program heading into the 2023 season. Head coach Brad Bohannon had the Tide on the fringe of a post-season appearance. Alabama will likelyhave a stronger season next year with the addition of several premier recruits and the numerous transfers.

Guscette is a nice addition to a program that appears to be trending in the right direction.
