2025 5-star WR Jaime Ffrench Jr. commits to Alabama

Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class just received a massive commitment. Five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench committed to the Tide on Saturday afternoon.

Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class is widely regarded as one of the best classes in the entire country. Well, it just got a lot better. 2025 five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench Jr. committed to Alabama on Saturday.

He became the second five-star wide receiver commit to the Crimson Tide in the 2025 recruiting class. The other is Saraland High School star, Ryan Williams.

Ffrench Jr. plays wide receiver for Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. As a sophomore, Ffrench Jr. had 44 receptions for 671 yards and five touchdowns.

Ffrench Jr. also plays basketball and competes on the school’s track and field team. In March of 2022, he ran an impressive 11.67 in the 100-meter dash.

His athleticism and playmaking ability are second to none. Alabama wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins has been able to recruit well in Florida in the past. The trend continues as Ffrench Jr. becomes the fifth commitment in the 2025 recruiting class.

Roll Tide Wire breaks down Jaime Ffrench Jr.’s recruiting profile.

Five-star recruit shares how long Nick Saban intends to coach for

Nick Saban intends to “Coach until he croaks.”

At 71 years of age, the question everyone in the college football world wants to know is how long Nick Saban will continue coaching. With seven national titles under his belt and virtually every record in the history of the Alabama football program, he has already earned the title of the greatest coach of all time.

However, Saban’s age certainly plays a part in recruiting as no kid wants to commit to the G.O.A.T. for him to retire in the midst of their college careers, but it doesn’t appear as if that day is coming anytime soon. Five-star wide receiver and Alabama commit, Ryan Williams, is a key piece in the Tide’s 2025 recruiting class and he shared that Nick Saban isn’t considering calling it quits yet. Williams is the No. 4 overall player in the country and keeping his commitment is essential.

Williams acknowledges that Saban is a monumental part of his commitment to Alabama and they have even discussed his retirement at points. Williams said to Bud Elliot of CBS Sports about Saban’s potential retirement, “We’ve talked about that, of course. But he said he’s going to be coaching until he croaks over.” That was all Williams needed to hear as he has been extremely committed to the Tide dating back to last fall.

This is great news for Alabama fans as this means the Tide will continue to compete for national titles for years to come with no worries of who is potential replacement will be one day.

2024 5-Star SF Liam McNeeley lists Alabama in top 6

2024 small forward Liam McNeeley recently released his top-six schools. Among those listed was the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Small forward Liam McNeeley of the 2024 class released his top schools’ list on Saturday. Alabama made the cut as a finalist to land his commitment.

McNeeley is a native of Richardson, Texas but plays for Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. The school is known for generating some of the nation’s top talent.

As a junior, McNeeley averaged 12.4 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game. He also shot an efficient 50% from the floor.

Thus far, McNeeley has not taken a visit to Alabama. That could change, however. In a previous interview with On3, McNeeley had this to say:

“They got all new coaches. Coach (Christian) Pino just hit me up a few days ago, and we’re starting to grow that relationship. I saw them watching me this April.”

There aren’t current plans for McNeeley to visit Alabama, but that could change as the relationship between McNeeley and the coaching staff develops.

Roll Tide Wire breaks down Liam McNeeley’s recruiting profile.

REPORT: Five-star Boogie Fland has Alabama basketball among his potential visits

Alabama basketball could potentially host five-star guard Boogie Fland on a visit this summer!

Nate Oats has turned the Alabama men’s basketball program into not only an SEC power but a national contender as well.

Part of Oats’ success is greatly due to his elite ability to haul in some of the nation’s top talent and then develop that talent into NBA draft picks.

It doesn’t appear that coach Oats will be falling off on the recruiting trail any time soon either. According to a report from Travis Branham of 247Sports, Oats and the Tide are a strong contender for class of 2024 five-star guard Boogie Fland.

Fland has intentions of visiting some schools in June telling 247Sports; “I am trying to schedule a couple of visits in June and get them over with. I want to see what the schools are like and get a feel for it.”

According to the report, Fland has hopes of visiting Tuscaloosa among other schools such as UCONN, Kentucky, Indiana, and Oregon.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Fland’s recruitment this summer!

Keon Keeley to follow in Will Anderson Jr.’s shoes and wear No. 31

Alabama fans, meet your new No. 31. Five-star freshman with Chase Young comps, Keon Keeley.

Keon Keeley is one of the next big-time defensive talents that will be taking the field for Alabama. Guys like Dallas Turner and Kool-Aid McKinstry are receiving all of the headlines right now, and for good reason, but Keeley is lurking in the back, waiting for his chance.

He was widely regarded as the best edge rusher in the 2023 class and a top-three player, regardless of position. On Monday, Keeley shared to social media that he will be following in Will Anderson Jr.’s shoes as he will wear the No. 31 for the next couple of years. Keeley has received NFL comparisons to Chase Young of the Washington Commanders.

The outside linebacker position will be really strong for the Tide in 2023, but they will want to get Keeley into the midst of the action as soon as possible. At 6-foot-5, 240 pounds he will be an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Badgers MBB offer five-star combo guard from Indiana

Wisconsin men’s basketball offered Jalen Haralson, a five-star class of 2025 combo guard from Fishers, Indiana on Monday.

Wisconsin men’s basketball offered Jalen Haralson, a five-star combo guard from Fishers, Indiana on Monday. The 6-foot-7 athlete is a sophomore at Fishers High School and the top ranked recruit in his state, 10th overall for the class of 2025.

Haralson figures to be one of the most highly sought after players in the next year plus and he’s already received 12 Division 1 offers, including Indiana and seven other Big Ten schools.

Greg Gard and his staff likely have no shot here with Haralson, but it is a welcomed sight to see Wisconsin going after a five-star athlete. With the success of Indiana native Connor Essegian in 2022-2023, maybe they can convince Haralson to join the Badgers.

Alabama offers class of 2024 five-star point guard Dedan Thomas

Crimson Tide Hoops offer top-25 player in the 2024 class a scholarship

Nate Oats has changed the trajectory of Alabama basketball since he took over in 2019, especially on the recruiting trail. The Crimson Tide, not traditionally known for landing elite basketball talent, have had six five-star players in program history. Three of those six have been during Oats regime.

Dedan Thomas, the No. 4 point guard in the 2024 class, is Alabama’s next target as they recently extended an offer, according to Joe Tipton of On3. Thomas is a top-25 player in the class out of Henderson, Nevada and already holds offers from the likes of Arizona, Gonzaga, Houston and many more, so it will be an uphill battle to land his services.

Alabama has had a lot of success at the PG position in recent years with guys like Colin Sexton and Kira Lewis Jr. both becoming first-round picks.

While they are going through the NBA draft process, it is expected that Mark Sears and Jahvon Quinerly will both return to Tuscaloosa in the fall. However, I would imagine it will be the last season for both of them which would allow for Thomas to see playing time immediately in 2024.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Dedan Thomas and the 2024 recruiting class.

Florida QB earns fifth star in latest On3 Industry Ranking update

Florida’s top commit in the 2024 recruiting class, quarterback DJ Lagway, is now a five-star prospect on the On3 industry ranking.

Florida quarterback commit [autotag]DJ Lagway[/autotag] is widely regarded as one of the top recruits in the class of 2024, but now he’s gained five-star status on the On3 industry ranking after a recent update to the On300 rankings.

The On3 industry ranking uses a weighted algorithm to determine its composite score, using all four major recruiting services. 247Sports and On3 each have a 35% share of the equation, Rivals.com makes up 20 percent and ESPN contributes the final 10%.

He is ranked No. 23 overall on the On3 industry ranking and No. 3 among quarterbacks in the class of 2024.

ESPN is the highest on Lagway, ranking him at No. 14 overall and No. 2 among quarterbacks in the class. The updated On300 now has Lagway at No. 20 overall and No. 3 among 2024 signal callers. 247Sports isn’t quite as high on him at No. 42 nationally and No. 6 positionally. Rivals.com is in a similar spot, placing him at No. 45 overall and as the top dual-threat quarterback in the class (Rivals differentiates between dual-threat and pro style).

Lagway has been a vocal leader of his recruiting class and is looking to bring the top talent in the country to the Swamp. Florida is currently fourth in On3’s 2024 team recruiting rankings.
