Five-star OT Kelvin Banks receives crystal ball in favor of Texas

If Texas is able to land Banks, he’d become the highest rated recruit in their 2022 class.

Much like Oklahoma’s mass exodus of recruits and transfers, Texas has a chance to capitalize on the same situation at Oregon. Continue reading “Five-star OT Kelvin Banks receives crystal ball in favor of Texas”

Another priority offensive lineman prospect added to attendance list for Texas-Kansas

ANOTHER talented offensive lineman announced he will be in attendance for the Kansas game.

The guest list for the matchup against Kansas is growing larger by the second. Literally.

The Longhorns are expecting to host close to 10 elite prospects for their game against Kansas, and that number continues to rise after offensive lineman and current Oregon Commit Cameron Williams announced he will join the party.

Texas’ offensive line is one of the worst groups in the nation, and they are hoping to revamp it with some of the top offensive line talent that will be in attendance this weekend.

With Williams’ announcement, he joins five-stars Devon Campbell and Kelvin Banks, and four-star Kam Dewberry as the offensive line recruits that will be attending the Texas-Kansas game. It would be a miracle to land all four of these prospects, especially considering Banks is a current pledge to Oregon as well.

However, the Texas staff must be doing something right in getting them to visit, although getting the top talent to campus is only half the battle. Kyle Flood cannot have a Brockermeyer twins type of result where he strikes out on all of them.

The Longhorns very much need to end this pathetic losing streak, and Kansas is the best team to do that against. At the same time, the coaches also need to impress the recruits in attendance to bolster their 2022 class, which only holds two offensive lineman commits at the moment.

WATCH: Texas OL target Malik Agbo takes a handoff to the house

Texas makes final three for 2022 offensive lineman Aliou Bah

The Longhorns have a chance to get offensive line help in Aliou Bah.

It is no secret that the Longhorns badly need help on the offensive line, and they are in the mix for a very promising player in the 2022 recruiting class.

Aliou Bah, a four-star offensive tackle who plays at IMG Academy, announced he his decommitment from Florida State over the weekend via Twitter.

He also told On3 who his top three schools are at this point. Florida, Georgia, and Texas are the final three programs in the running to land the 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive tackle. He currently holds 37 offers and is a very versatile player, notably playing at guard as well.

Bah is rated the No. 35 offensive tackle in the 2022 recruiting class, according to 247Sports composite. He originally committed to the Seminoles in May, but later had a change of heart and decided to go his separate ways. Several 247Sports crystal ball predictions have since been inserted in favor of Georgia.

He has visited both Florida and Georgia already, so the fact that he listed the Longhorns as one of his finalists without a visit speaks volumes as to how high he is on the program.

Texas extended an offer to Bah on Jan. 25.
