Texas running back Bijan Robinson is the newest member of the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta selected the Longhorn superstar with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft on Thursday night. Robinson joins a Falcons offense with some up-and-coming weapons, such as Kyle Pitts and Drake London.
Robinson becomes the first Texas Longhorn offensive player to be selected in the first round since Vince Young back in 2006. He is the highest running back to go off the board since Saquon Barkley back in 2018.
Many experts agreed Robinson was a top prospect in the draft class but the value of the running back position is low in today’s game. The Falcons believe Robinson is worthy of the high pick and see him as their franchise running back.
