Schools from the Pac 12 that the Big 12 should consider for expansion

With speculation about the Pac 12 possibly disbanding, members could be needing a new home. Here are four schools the Big 12 should look at.

Colorado Buffaloes

Current head coach: Karl Dorrell

All-time record: 657-488-35

Major achievements: 1x National Championship (1990), 8x Colorado Football Association Champion, 9x Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champion, 4x Mountain States Conference Champion, 5x Big Eight Conference Champion, 1x Big 12 Champion

All-time record vs Texas: 7-11

Outlook

A former member of the conference would make their way back after leaving in 2011. The move back to the Big 12 would be seamless for the Buffaloes as they would know exactly what to expect.

Coming along with fellow Pac 12 South opponents, as long as reunions with Big 12 North opponents (Iowa State, Kansas, and Kansas State), and Colorado would have the best of both worlds.

The football program has been in a whirlwind with Mel Tucker suddenly leaving for Michigan State, but hired a coach with NFL experience in Karl Dorrell. It may take some time for Colorado to bounce back but a transition to familiar territory could benefit the Buffaloes.
