Ranking the Buccaneers’ 3 biggest unrestricted free agents

Find out which three players the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can’t afford to lose this offseason.

3. Jameis Winston, QB

I know many people will think Winston belongs in the top spot on this list, but he’s made the top three, which is good enough. While Winston did surpass 5,000 yards this season, those 30 interceptions are too big to ignore. If the team seriously wants to contend next year, they can’t put up with play like that from their quarterback again. Winston was playing on the fifth and final year of his rookie contract in 2019, so the team has no obligation to bring him back. But, many people, including former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer, think Winston could have a “massive year” in 2020 if the Bucs bring him back. In all likelihood, Winston returns to Tampa Bay, but you can be sure the backup quarterback position will be better than it was this year.
