Oregon flips Ohio State wide receiver commit during early signing period

More bad news for the Buckeyes

While the Ohio State football wide receiver room has plenty of talent, the goal is to continue restocking the room.

It looked like the Buckeyes were going to accomplish that goal when Missouri’s [autotag]Jeremiah McClellan[/autotag] committed to the program in August. However, smoke started rising in recent weeks that the nation’s No. 13 wide receiver and No. 49 recruit overall on the 247Sports composite was looking at other programs, specifically Oregon.

As the saying goes, where there is smoke, there is fire. McClellan flipped his commitment to the Ducks on the first day of the early signing period as bad news continues to roll in for the Buckeyes.

The 2024 recruiting class cupboard at wide receiver isn’t bare. Mylan Graham already sent in his paperwork. The Buckeyes are still waiting on the signature of the nation’s top recruit, Jeremiah Smith. If that occurs, there’s plenty to look forward to.
