You had a feeling it was going to happen with the announcement of a blackout (fans to wear all black) already on the table, but we can now confirm through an Ohio State spokesman that the Ohio State vs. Wisconsin contest on the gridiron will be a primetime affair at the ‘Shoe.

According to the announcement, the game is set to kick off on Saturday, September 24, at 7:30 p.m ET and will be televised by ABC. It’ll be the third primetime game in four starts for OSU. The Notre Dame game kicked things off at night to a national audience on ABC, the game against Toledo will be at night (7 p.m. ET) on Fox, and now this.

In addition to the fans being asked to wear all black, don’t be surprised if the team also decides to don the all-black uniforms to compliment the environment. It has been officially confirmed, but it sure feels like that’s only a matter of time.

For all the fans clamoring for more night games, 2022 is exactly what the doctor ordered, and we are here for it.
