Malachi Moore named SEC Freshman of the Week

On Monday, Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after Alabama’s 52-24 win over Texas A&M.

On Monday, Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after Alabama’s 52-24 win over Texas A&M.

Moore had his second start of the season, and put on quite the show against the Aggies.

He was tied for third on the team with 6 tackles while leading the team with two pass breakups.

Moore also had an incredible interception that ended a red zone drive for the Aggies.

Simply put, Moore showed a new hope for the Alabama defense that has struggled the past few seasons.

So far this season, Moore has recorded 9 total tackles (6 solo) , 2 defended passes, and 1 interception.
