Devin Singletary vs. Quinnen Williams
Devin Singletary has had a surprising rookie season, many fans expected him to have a decent first season, but not many expected him to carry the workload as early as he has. Singletary had 70 rushing yards on four carries against the Jets in Week 1, he also had 28 yards as a receiver, giving Allen a reliable option.
Singletary leads Buffalo in rushing with 775 yards, and averaging 5.1 yards per carry. The young running back has displayed patience, and agility in the backfield which has made him tough to bring down, and seemingly always gives him an extra yard or two after contact.
Rookie Quinnen Williams hasn’t made the same impact as Devin Singletary, through his first season he’s played in 12 games, accruing 28 tackles, and 2.5 sacks. Williams has too inconsistent for New York, and hasn’t generated enough push on the inside to disrupt the oppositions run or passing attack.
Singletary’s snap totals have consistently risen throughout the year. Last week he nearly played in every snap while Frank Gore, for the first time in his career, was active on a game day and did not get a touch. It would be surprising to see Singletary or Gore out there much. One player to monitor actually seeing playing time is TJ Yeldon, who’s spent most of this season on the inactive list.
Quinnen Williams: One of the nicest and softest spoken people you’ll ever meet.
