Bengals injury report headlined by Trey Hendrickson, Charlie Jones update

The first Bills vs. Bengals injury report has arrived.

The first Cincinnati Bengals injury report of the week before the team takes on the Buffalo Bills in primetime features some major names.

There, the Bengals issued the following designations:

  • Trey Hendrickson, DNP
  • Josh Tupou, DNP
  • Tycen Anderson, DNP
  • Orlando Brown, LP
  • Joe Mixon, LP
  • Akeem Davis-Gaither LP

Coaches stressed that Hendrickson’s absence after the injury he suffered against the 49ers was just a management thing and not an indication that he wouldn’t be able to play next Sunday night. This is the same early rest day Orlando Brown had last week, too.

It would also appear that this is the first big step in the right direction for Akeem Davis-Gaither, though the team did just add another free-agent linebacker to the practice squad.

Though he’s eligible to return, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that rookie wide receiver Charlie Jones won’t have his 21-day return window opened and that it might be something they can do next week.
