Adam Gase, offensive line among Jets’ Studs & Duds in loss to Bengals

The Jets dropped their second game to a winless opponent this season and are now 4-8 with four games remaining after their 22-6 loss in Ohio

Dud: Adam Gase

Adam Gase returned to form on Sunday.

Gase and his staff were woefully underprepared for a Bengals team that was 0-11 on the season. Gase refused to feature his rushing attack when the Bengals statistically have the worst run defense in the NFL. The Jets had 15 designed runs for 53 yards. Le’Veon Bell had just 10 carries for 32 yards and 67 yards of total offense.

The Jets again looked unimaginative on offense, leaving Sam Darnold little to work with. The QB had no help in the running game, his receivers dropped five passes and he had no time in the pocket. Also, Gase gave Brandon Shell no help on the right side when he allowed three sacks at the hands of Carlos Dunlap.
