Athlon Sports recently honored the best players in the Big 12 conference for the 2021 college football season.
Oklahoma and Iowa State understandably led the conference with the most selections with 18 and 17 respectively. Texas’ 12 selections also fell behind TCU and Oklahoma State.
Athlon Sports noted that their list of all-conference teams are specifically based on their projections and predictions of how they expect the players to perform in 2021.
Texas defensive back D’Shawn Jamison made the list in two spots: second-team defense and second-team specialist as a kick returner. The Longhorns only had one player on the first-team in running back Bijan Robinson.
