Incoming running back Bijan Robinson is probably the easiest selection here, but I wanted to think outside of the box for a bit. Five-star defensive end Alfred Collins has the ability to make some noise in 2020, so he could arguably be included here.

I’m staying away from Whittington because although he will be used in a variety of ways, he’s still competing alongside a very talented player in Jake Smith. Transfer receiver Tarik Black is one of the most important additions for head coach Tom Herman and his staff. With Collin Johnson and Devin Duvernay heading to the NFL, the opportunity is wide open for Black to take it and run with it.

He appeared in 21 games for Michigan over three seasons while dealing with a foot injury. Black brings a great deal of experience, knowledge and leadership to this young position group at Texas. The Longhorns have had success in the grad transfer market under Herman, Black is currently the best immediate option to use on the outside.
