Where Texas lands in 2024 recruiting class rankings after latest commitments

There’s still several months to go, but Texas climbed 10 spots this week after the additions of Freddie Dubose and Santana Wilson.

Recruiting momentum is full steam ahead as several of the nation’s top prospects are taking official visits across the country throughout the month of June.

Texas just capped off a successful recruiting weekend of their own. After hosting roughly 20 official visitors last weekend, the Longhorns received two commitments from four-star cornerback Santana Wilson and four-star wide receiver Freddie Dubose.

There’s still several months left in the 2024 cycle, but it’s a positive sign that Steve Sarkisian’s staff has this class headed in the right direction. Alabama currently holds the No. 22 class in the country, although it’s a solid bet that the Crimson Tide will surge into the top-five in the coming months.

Oklahoma and Texas have some ground to make up in terms of their SEC counterparts, but overall the conference appears to be recruiting at a high level.
