It was a tough season for the San Antonio Spurs from the standpoint of wins and losses, but overall, it wasn’t all bad. They got to take a look at a bunch of players to see who they want to roll forward with. Obviously, there was Victor Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, and Jeremy Sochan, but there were also some role players that stepped up.
Julian Champagnie got to step into a larger role at times throughout the season. Most notably, he started a bunch of games for the Spurs as they dealt with injuries and tested out different lineups. The 22-year-old is under contract for three more seasons, but the first two years aren’t fully guaranteed, and the final is a team option.

In 74 appearances for the Spurs (including 59 starts), Champagnie averaged 6.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 40.8% from the field and 36.5% from behind the three-point line.
