What would an all-Alabama NFL defense look like?

Roll Tide Wire decided to dive in to see what an all-Alabama defense would look like in the NFL. Could they compete for a Super Bowl?

Analysis: This group doesn’t look particularly impressive on paper, but it could be an effective unit.

Ryan Anderson is an excellent early-down edge player who can be effective against the run. Similarly, Anfernee Jennings is a guy who wouldn’t be a top-notch pass rusher, but should be a steady, all-around rotational outside linebacker.

Terrell Lewis is the X-factor, as he’d be the most relied on edge presence when it comes to getting after the quarterback. Tim Williams was an elite pass rusher at Alabama, but those skills haven’t translated to the NFL. He does make decent depth, however.

The good news is the Crimson Tide would have two off-ball, inside linebackers capable of being edge players on passing downs: Rashaan Evans and Dont’a Hightower. That helps put this group over the edge — no pun intended.
