Week 8 Amway Coaches Poll: Does Texas break top 25 after Baylor win?

Despite winning against Baylor, Texas remains unranked in the Amway Coaches Poll. In fact, the Longhorns only receiving 18 votes.

Despite getting a solid victory at home against Baylor, Texas remains unranked in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. In fact, the Longhorns are still a long way off from being ranked, only receiving 18 votes.

Oklahoma State is still the highest-ranked Big 12 team, staying put at No. 6. Texas will travel to Stillwater on Halloween to face a top 10 opponent as an unranked team for the first time since 2017.

Three other conference teams appear in the top 25, with Kansas State (No. 16) and Oklahoma (No. 23) rising after victories over Kansas and TCU respectively. Iowa State dropped four spots to No. 22 after losing the Big 12 game of the week against Oklahoma State.
