The most anticipated newcomer to Texas football is without a doubt five-star running back Bijan Robinson.
He was the nation’s top running back in the 2020 recruiting class and is expected to find playing time immediately in Austin. According to the video that the Texas Longhorns social media department shared via Twitter on Wednesday, it appears Robinson has put on plenty of muscle this offseason.

When head coach Tom Herman spoke during a virtual luncheon with the Touchdown Club of Houston on Thursday, he reiterated his confidence in Robinson stepping in as a true freshman.
Herman on Bijan Robinson: “He’s gonna play. No ifs about it. He’s out together like a guy that’s been in college for four years. Fast. Big. Soft hands. Unbelievable body control. He’s as good a kid as we have on the team and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.”

He has the upside to garner All-American buzz throughout his collegiate career and potentially become a first-round NFL Draft selection. It’s likely that he will split carries with fellow running backs Keontay Ingram and Roschon Johnson this season, but Robinson has the talent to solidify the starting role by 2021.
