Boston Celtics veteran forward Gordon Hayward had an outstanding tune-up against the Phoenix Suns Sunday as the Celtics won their second of three exhibition scrimmages to be held ahead of the official eight seeding games remaining in the 2019-20 season restart held at the Disney NBA campus.
The Butler product showed no signs of the foot irritation that had bothered him at times during the regular season before the hiatus.
He even took a stab at the same sort of alley-oop that led to the heinous ankle injury that caused the foot trouble at the start of his Celtics tenure in the first place, so it is safe to say his confidence levels are high.
It showed too, with Hayward logging 17 points, 6 rebounds and three assists on the night, looking very ready to get back on the court for games that count.
