WATCH: Chase Young reacts to potential of being drafted by Washington Redskins

Ohio State defensive end Chase Young told ESPN’s First Take that it would be a dream come true to be drafted by his hometown Redskins.

Ohio State defensive end Chase Young getting drafted by the Washington Redskins at No. 2 is starting to look more and more like a reality. For Young, it would be like a dream come true. Not only would he be reunited with former Buckeye players Dwayne Haskins and Terry McClaurin, it would also mean the Heisman finalist would get to play for his hometown team.

Out of Hyattsville, MD, Young would be going to a team that’s just twenty minutes from where he did his damage in high school.

The game-wrecking defensive end was asked about the prospects of being drafted by the Redskins by the ESPN First Take crew and seemed excited about the possibilities.

“It would mean a lot,” Haskins told First Take. “Not a lot of kids get to play for their hometown team. It would definitely be an honor to play in front of my family — my friends, just from around the area. And, just to be an inspiration for the kids that grew up where I grew up, and just let them know that making it to the NFL is possible. I just want to be an inspiration for them.”
