The top-ranked Crimson Tide is having a difficult time getting the offense going against FCS opponent, Mercer, in the first game of the 2021 season in Bryant Denny Stadium.
After two offensive possessions for Alabama resulted in punts, the Crimson Tide special teams unit came up in a big way, as a Mercer punt was blocked by Chris Braswell and returned for a touchdown by Jase McLellan.
With plenty of time left in the first half, the Crimson Tide hold a one-touchdown lead over the Mercer Bears.
